Chicago

The group finally arrived at the destination and Klaus said "Welcome back to Chicago, Stefan."

Exiting the car, Kiara and Valerie made their way over to the other side of the vehicle. Stefan and Klaus were looking at the city.

Kiara was wearing a top with a leather jacket, a jean and some boots.

Valerie was wearing a short dress with some boots.

The vampire asked "What are we doing here?"

"I know how much you loved it here. Bringing back memories of the good old ripper days?"Klaus said.

"Blacked out most of them. A lot of blood, a lot of partying. The details are all a blur."Stefan responded.

"Well, that is a crying shame. The details are what make it legend. Chicago was magical."Klaus spoke.

"Yeah, well, I'll take your word for it. Like I said, I don't remember most of it."Stefan said.

"Going to get down to business, then?"Klaus asked.

"Why am I still with you? We had our fun, your hybrids failed. I mean, don't you want to move on?"Stefan questioned.

"We're going to see my favorite witch. If anyone can help us with our hybrid problem, it's her. In the mean time, we're going to stay at another hotel for the night. Be ready to leave early."Klaus answered.

They walked back into the car.

The next morning, the group went to see that witch Klaus knew to figure out why he couldn't make hybrids.

Kiara was wearing a sweater with a leather jacket, a jean and some boots.

Valerie was wearing a sweater with a jean jacket, a green pant and some boots.

They made it to a bar. Walking in, the hybrid questioned Stefan "Looks familiar, doesn't it?"

"I can't believe this place is still here."Stefan commented.

A voice from across the bar spoke "You got to be kidding me."

Klaus started speaking "So a hybrid walks into a bar, says to the bartender..."

"Stop. You may be invincible, but that doesn't make you funny."The woman cuts him off.

Valerie grinned "You are so right."

Kiara added "You, lady, are awesome."

The woman gives them a kind smile before turning towards Stefan and said "I remember you."

"Yeah. You're Gloria. Shouldn't you be..."The vampire said, nodding.

"Old and dead? Now if I die, who's going to run this place, huh?"Gloria filled in.

"Oh my gods! How have I only now met you?!" Kiara exclaimed with a wide grin on her face.

"Gloria's a very powerful witch."Klaus smirked.

"I can slow the aging down some. Herbs and spells. But don't worry, it'll catch up to me one day." Gloria continued.

"Stefan, why don't you go and fix us up a little something from behind the bar?"Klaus suggested and the vampire did as he was told.

Klaus sat up with Gloria and Valerie and Kiara did as well.

"You look ravishing, by the way." Klaus complimented the witch.

"Don't. I know why you're here. A hybrid out to make more hybrids? That kind of news travels."Gloria said.

"So what am I doing wrong? I broke the curse."Klaus asked.

Gloria replied "Obviously you did something wrong. Look, every spell has a loophole, but a curse that old...We'd have to contact the witch who created it."

"Well, that would be the original witch. She's very dead."Klaus stated.

"I know. And for me to contact her, I'll need help. Bring me Rebekah."Gloria spoke.

"Rebekah. Rebekah is a bit preoccupied."Klaus said.

"She has what I need. Bring her to me."Gloria told him.

Stefan asked curiously, while holding something in his hand "What is this?"

"Well, I told you, Stefan. Chicago's a magical place."Klaus responded.

"But this is me. With you two."Stefan said to the Originals.

They left the bar and arrived at a warehouse. Stefan continued with the questions "This doesn't make any sense. Why don't I remember you?"

Klaus responded "You said it yourself: that time had a lot of dark holes."

"No, if you knew me, then why haven't you said anything?" Stefan asked.

"I'm a little busy right now. Memory Lane will have to wait."Klaus replied.

Stefan grabbed his arm and said "What the hell is going on? Answer me."

Klaus gently removed Stefan's hand from his arm and said "Let's just say we didn't get off to a brilliant start. To be honest, I hated you."

After the hybrid shared a memory of their past with the vampire using his vampire abilities, Stefan still looked confused and frowned "Your sister. So I knew another Original vampire."

"If you can't handle it, then don't ask."Klaus told him, walking away.

They entered a room filled with coffins.

The hybrid approached one of the coffins, the hybrid by his side. He opened it to reveal a blonde woman with grey skin and a dagger through her chest.

Kiara glanced at the hybrid to see he had a soft look on his face. He looked happy to see his sister. Gently, his hand caressed Rebelah's cheek. Klaus had a smile on his face. He missed her.

"I don't recognize her."Stefan says.

" Well, don't tell her that. Rebekah's temper is worse than mine."Klaus told him.

"That's impressive."Kiara commented.

Klaus ripped the dagger out of the woman's chest, saying "Time to wake up, little sister."

When the vampire didn't automatically wake up, Klaus grew impatient "Any day now, Rebekah. She's being dramatic."

"You're being dramatic."Kiara commented sassily.

Klaus playfully glared at her. In a mocking tone, he mimicked her voice "You're being dramatic."

Kiara gasped in mock hurt "No, you're being dramatic."

Klaus disagreed "No, you..."

"Look, why don't you just tell me what the hell is going on? I mean, you obviously want me here for a reason, right?"Stefan interrupted the pair as he shook his head.

"Well, you have many useful talents."Klaus replied, taking his eyes away from Kiara.

"Do I?" Stefan asked.

Klaus said "In fact, I learned some of my favorite tricks from you. I was your number one fan."

"Why would you be his biggest fan? He's always brooding and stubborn. And definitely boring."Kiara asked in between laughter.

Stefan glared at her.

"Why should I believe any of this?"Stefan questioned.

Klaus found a guard standing nearby and compelled him "When she wakes up, tell her to meet us at Gloria's Bar. Then volunteer your carotid artery and let her feed until you die."

"Where are you going?" Stefan asked, causing Klaus to stop and look back.

"Good question. Where are we going?"Valerie spoke up.

"You think I'm lying, Stefan. You and I knew each other. You trusted us with one of your secrets and now I'm going to prove it to you."Klaus said.

"How?" Stefan asked.

"We're going to your old apartment."Klaus told him.

Later, the group arrived at Stefan's old apartment. They saw the door was locked. Kiara put her arms out to make the three vampires and Valerie stay behind her. A grin spread on her face as she kicked the door open.

Klaus said, amused to her "And you think I'm the dramatic one."

"That's Kie to you."Valerie told him.

Kiara walked in. Klaus and Valerie followed.

Klaus sensed something and asked "Do you feel that? Is anybody here?"

Stefan replied "It's been vacant for decades. People must break in all the time. Why'd you bring me here?"

"Your friend, Liam Grant, the one who drank his wife's blood...I never could figure out why you wanted his name. And then you told us your little secret. It was all part of your special little ritual."Klaus said.

"To write it down."Stefan realized.

"And relive the kill...over and over again."Klaus  finished.

Kiara said to Stefan "That's messed up, Stephy, even you."

"You believe me now?"Klaus asked Stefan.

He opened a hidden door from the pantry. Names covered the wall in the small closet.

Stefan pulled something out from the shelf and said "Look what I found. 1918. Single malt."

"My favorite."Klaus replied.

"Let's go and find someone to pair it with."Stefan added.

Valerie and Kiara followed behind Klaus as they walked out since they didn't want to be in the creepy apartment any longer, but turned around for a quick second to see Stefan close the closet.
