Kiara's eyes were red from crying as she stared solemnly at the burnt body laying on the kitchen floor. She knew Klaus had the same expression but worse.

It felt like she had a hole in her chest. It felt empty. He was alive only a few minutes before they had come to the house. And now he was laying dead on a kitchen floor. His body, barely even recognisable. 

The door creaked open and shut, but the couple didn't move their eyes away from the body.

Tyler's joyful voice irked Kiara "Morning, sunshine. You look pathetic."

"Only until Bonnie's spell locking me in here wears off. Then I'll look different. Angrier, perhaps. Or I won't look like anything because I'll have gouged your eyeballs from their sockets."Klaus replied as he turned around to see Tyler leaning against the doorway of the living room.

Tyler smiled "My friends will be back with the cure by then. So, I could shove it down your throat and make you mortal."

"Not so sure about that. My siblings Liv and Luke are on their way to undo Bonnie's spell. And my sister's speciality is really good with telekinesis. Last year she magically removed some vampire's heart with her bloody mind. But when Luke and Liv does combined their magic together, they are nothing they can't do."Kiara smirked as she showed the text she had sent to Luke from her phone.

Caroline and Tyler paled.

"In other words, you are doomed when they'll arrived."Kiara smirked.

Klaus told Tyler in anger " I'm an Original. What makes you think my entire vampire bloodline won't be cured along with me? I.e., you."

"You know what I think?"Tyler remarked.

"That you're a little piece of shit? And can't even kill the person who killed his own mother? How pathetic?"Kiara countered.

Tyler glared at the siphon as she looked at the siphon with cold eyes. He soon stood up from the wall and smirked "I think that's impossible. I think the moment you stop being a vampire, our whole blood connection to you is broken, and your sire-line ceases to exist. So, whatever happens to you, happens only to you, which means I can kill your ass and no one else has to die. Although I am still debating just how to do it."

Klaus vamp speed right in front of Tyler causing him to back away at the sudden action as he smirked "I recommend drowning. There's nothing quite like the feeling of someone fighting for something as basic as human breath. And let me tell you, your mother was a fighter."

The sun had already set as night had fallen and Klaus and Kiara were still stuck inside the living room. Kiara grew annoyed as her stomach kept growling. She used to be able to go days without eating and now she was starving from not eating one day.

"In case you have forgotten. I'm still considered human by biological standards meaning I need food to survive."Kiara called out to Tyler, who was rummaging through the kitchen.

She was only ignored by the hybrid and the siphon glared at him as she sat on the floor of the living room right at the edge of the invisible barrier. The door was opened by Caroline, who jumped at the sudden crash coming from the kitchen. She saw multiple drawers opened, silverware and plates broken on the floor. She glanced at the living room to see Kiara glared at Tyler.

"You're still here? What are you doing?"She asked her boyfriend.

"Gloating."He smirked as he served himself a drink.

Caroline pleaded softly "Come home. Don't stoop to his level."

Tyler said shaking his head as he stared right at Klaus "He destroyed my life. I plan on being present for every second of his misery until I can kill him myself."

Caroline compromised "Fine. You can gloat and multitask. This place is a disaster. Starting with a horrific burnt corpse."

She pulled out a tablecloth from inside a cabinet and draped it over Kol's body. The corner of Kiara's lips pulled down as she raised her head to look at Klaus. Silently, she grabbed his hand in comfort and smiled, sadly at the tight hold on her hand.

"Tyler's mother is dead. And your friends tried to kill my brother. We're even. Call Bonnie. Get her to let me out of here."Klaus told them.

"I will never, ever, help you."Caroline scoffed.

"How quickly you forget the part where he saved Tyler from the misery of being a werewolf. Or the night you were bitten, that Kol healed you to save you!"Kiara said.

" How delusional are you? Your boyfriend killed his mother. And he also killed Jenna. Or did you think I would forget that you helped him killed Jenna since you did the spell that would break his curse. You know what? No. I am not going to engage in this. You are not even worth the calories I burn talking to you." Caroline scowled as she stepped forward.

Immediately Klaus vamp speed grabbed a floor lamp and stabbed the end of it into Caroline's stomach. He swung the blonde vampire into the barrier before biting into her neck. She dropped to the floor and Klaus smirked at Tyler with blood dripping from his lips "Now, that was definitely worth the calories."

Kiara grinned at Tyler "I would like to have my food now. Before I find ideas of how to torture her."

Kiara chuckled, taking a bite of her burger as Caroline panicked after waking up. She munched on her food while watching Tyler's futile attempt to calm his girlfriend down.

"She'll die if you don't heal her." Tyler told them.

"Okay. Beg us to save her life. And we might do it." Klaus said.

" Is this what you want? To remind me that I'm powerless against you? Fine. You win. I'm nothing. Now save her. Please." Tyler asked.

"I'm sorry, mate. I didn't quite catch that." Klaus told him.

"Please." Tyler pleaded.

"Please..." Klaus says.

"Please save her life." Tyler finally said, begging.

" See, now I think you're just telling me what I want to hear. I mean, you did call me pathetic earlier and made my girlfriend starve despite knowing she's human. And wouldn't it be more pathetic of me to help now, knowing that hours ago, you announced your plan to kill me in a manner in which you're debating because you want it to have a certain amount of flair? I'm just asking." Klaus told him.

"I'll be your slave again. I'll do whatever you want. Just help her." Tyler pleaded.

"No." Klaus said.

"Kiara?" Tyler asked Kiara.

"No. You should prepare yourself to say goodbye to her."Kiara says.

"Get me out of here. I can't even look at them." Caroline told Tyler.

"Come on." Tyler said, helping her up as they left.

Later on, Tyler brought back Caroline to the Mikaelson house and lay down on the floor as he says to Klaus and Kiara "You want to be in control, Klaus? Here. Now you get to be in control of her life. If you want her to die, fine. But then you can sit here and watch her die yourself."

Tyler walked away.

"Nothing personal, love. If I cure you, that means victory for him. Don't worry. It won't be long now." Klaus said.

Caroline, breathing heavily, closes her eyes.

"If you don't feed me your blood, I'll die. " Caroline sighed heavily.

"Then you'll die, and Tyler will have learned his lesson the hard way." Kiara told her.

"How could you do this to him? To his mom? To me?" Caroline asked.

"I'm a thousand years old. Call it boredom." Klaus shrugged.

"I don't believe you. You're with Kiara." Caroline said, shaking her head.

"Fine. Then maybe it's because I'm pure evil, and I can't help myself." Klaus told her.

"It's because you were both hurt. Which means that there is a part of you that is human and cares." Caroline says, shaking her head.

"How could you possibly think that?" Klaus asked.

"Because I've seen it. I have seen the way you are with Kiara. I know you are in love with her. And anybody capable of love is capable of being saved." Caroline said.

"You're hallucinating." Klaus told her.

"I guess I'll never know."Caroline said.

 Kiara siphoned  the bite away before pulling away as Caroline's bite had disappeared.

"Seems we are right on time."Kiara heard's her siblings voice.

She turned to see Liv and Luke entered.

Liv and Luke casted the spell to put the barrier down.

Then they looked down at their sister and Klaus and said "The barrier is done."

"Thanks."Kiara smiled before she left with Klaus and her siblings.
