I let out a sigh as I examined myself in the bedroom mirror then I turned to Dante. "So do I look good?" I asked him.
He glanced at me. "You always look good." He told me. I let out another sigh and rolled my eyes.
"You know what I mean dammit, do I look presentable enough to meet your parents?" I asked him.
Dante smiled at me and fixed my cat collar slightly. The collar had been a present from him on my eight hundred and thirteenth birthday, it was black with a small golden bell on it. It may have been a simple gift but I loved and cherished it.
"Relax you're fine, my grandpa Jeff will be there too so if you get nervous just talk with him. Other than me he knows you better than anyone else." Dante told me.
I just nodded and held Dante's hand as we left the house. I never liked car rides, I was an animal for fucks sake therefor something in me just didn't trust moving vehicles. But now, add the fact that I was nervous and it made it just that more unpleasant.
I crossed my legs and tapped a claw on the dashboard. Maybe I should have kept smoking, but then again Dante doesn't like it. I thought as I bit my lip. The car stopped and my body tensed up the fur on my tail and cat ears standing up as I realized we were at his parents house. I took a deep breath before I climbed out of the car.
Dante chuckled. "Relax Christopher, you'll do fine." He told me soothingly.
I glared at him. "I hate you so much right now, I have absolutely no clue why I let you talk me into this." I grumbled.
Dante smirked. "You're doing this because you love me." He said. Dante held my hand as we climbed the steps to his parent's house. Dante rung the door bell.
A moment later a slightly plump woman, with dark brown hair and blue eyes opened the door. She appeared to be in her early fifties and about five foot six. For a second she just stood there blinking at Dante then she smiled and wrapped him in a hug.
"Hi honey welcome home, it's so nice to see you. You hardly drop by here anymore." She told Dante. Dante smiled.
"I want to mom, I honestly do but I'm usually busy with certain things." He told her. She nodded then looked at me and for a few moments she just stared.
However I could smell it subtle traces of fear in her, she knew what I was and what might happened to her if she let me inside the house. Dante's mom however instead chose to smile at me and give me a hug to.
"It's nice to meet you again Christopher, I haven't seen you since Dante was born. I always remembered that you were such and adorable cat, and your fur was always so fluffy." She told me.
Beside me Dante let out a snicker which he failed to cover up with a cough. I glanced at him. Oh you think that's funny huh, we'll two can play at that game. I thought.
"Well come in you two and Dante your dad is in the kitchen with Jeff." She told us. Dante went inside, however when I tried to I couldn't walk over the threshold. I frown as I ran right into a holy barrier.
I took a step back frowning. "Karen take that thing down, I thought you had it over the back door." I smiled as Jeff came up to the doorway.
Jeff was my previous Guardian Master before Dante, what most people weren't aware of was that the ability to sense Cancorans could skip a child and in Dante's case that's what had happened. It had skipped his dad and gone to him so his parents were forced to sign a contract by the Guardian Servant Academy.
It was a sort of non disclosure agreement, if they told anyone the secret they would be killed. I smiled as Jeff removed the cross and handed it to Karen, which allowed me to walk into the house.
Jeff gave me a hug and smiled at me. "Christopher, it's good to see you we need to go out for drinks again sometime." He told me. I let out a chuckle as I pulled back.
"Jeff we both know that you can't keep up with me, and I'll be driving your drunk ass home. And for all you know the car will be stolen so let's not do that." I said.
Jeff laughed and led me into the dining room where Dante was already sitting across from his dad carrying on a slightly odd, and awkward conversation. I sat next to Dante and his dad, Adam looked at me frowning.
I noticed him looking at my cat ears which were currently standing up on my head, while my cat tail lay in my lap. "Hello Christopher, I haven't seen you in years. I see that you now have...animal limbs." He said.
I lifted up my tail and looked at it. "Oh this, I've had this and my ears since I was born. I usually hide my cat ears beneath my hair but I can retract my cat tail into my spine at will." I told Adam.
Jeff sat next to me and Karen came and sat next to Adam. She saw my cat tail and smiled. "That is so cute, what type of cat are you?" She asked me.
I let out a small chuckle. "I'm a Bakeneko." I told her. Karen frowned as she appeared to be thinking for a second.
"Really? I've never heard of that type of cat." She said.
I smiled slightly as I picked at my food a bit. "Bakenekos are very, very rare and at the same time very common cats. I mean look at this you have one right at your dinner table." I told her.
She nodded. A moment later Adam spoke. "By the way Christopher where, are you from exactly? I could never disguise your manner of speaking whenever you came over." He asked me.
I smiled slightly. "I'm from Belfast in Northern Ireland. I've moved around a lot in my lifetime though." I told Adam.
Karen looked at me in surprise. "Really? But you don't have an accent at all." She pointed out.
I chuckled. "I've been alive for about eight hundred and fifteen years, in that time I've been all over the world so naturally I kind of lost it." I told her.
Beside me Dante smiled. "Yeah but when Christopher get's mad, and I mean really mad it comes out. And when it does his accent is so thick I can't understand a word he's saying." He told her.
I rolled my eyes. "You can't understand me because you're American." I told him.
Dante shook his head as he began snickering a little. "No that's not it Christopher, your accent is just really thick. Before you can even continue talking to me when you're angry I have to calm you down or I can't take you seriously. You pronouce mouth, moyth when you speak with your accent." He told me.
I rolled my eyes. I'm glad you think that's so hilarious. I thought. Adam spoke to me however I noticed that he seemed mildly uncomfortable.
"Christopher, I hope that you will make my son a very happy man. I'm trusting him with you." Adam told me.
For a moment I just blinked slowly then I exacted revenge on Dante for all his teasing. "Of course I will make Dante a happy man. I plan on marrying him first of course, then there will be even more happiness because I plan to fuck him. Such happiness on our honeymoon night will include, some lube, a dildo, my fingers, my tongue, and let's not forget Dante's lovely sweet ass. He is a virgin after all." I said as I smiled innocently.
Beside me Dante had turned an interesting shade of red and looked completely utterly embarrassed. I leaned over smirking and spoke to him. "That'll teach you to tease me brat." I whispered in his ear before nipping it with my fangs.
