How to avoid a character cliche, a character idea that is overused.

Why?

how can you avoid something you don't know??

How?

ask yourself these questions:

have you read a character like this before?

Is the character realistic?

are the character's decisions and actions realistic?

have you met someone like this before?

does the character need to be more human?

 There are no commonly used characters really but they have the same concept that is unrealistic, for example:

1) too overconfident

2) too shy and insecure

3) doesn't feel human feelings (guilt, greif, doubt, fear)

4) Suddenly changes 360 degrees
