This list contains major spoilers for Salem Shadows. If you have not finished the book, you shouldn't read it. This is the list of the members of the Salem Shadows. A separate list will be posted for the other important characters in the book.

THE SALEM SHADOWS

CHRISTOPHER "CHRIS" CABRERA

Chris grew up in Brooklyn, New York. His mother bound his powers to keep him hidden from his father, Shooter Berkely. They had a one night stand and she didn't want to burden him with a kid, but she also sensed that Chris wouldn't be safe in Salem. When Chris was just a couple of months shy of eighteen, his mother was murdered and his powers unlocked. Left with little choice, Chris traveled to Salem in search of his birth father. His arrival sparked the start of the destiny of the Salem Shadows.

Chris learned he was a Siren when he met his ancestor, Cora. She helped him unlock his Siren song when Joey was in crisis. At the end of Salem Shadows, Chris had barely started to learn how to use his Siren powers. His dominant power is his energy sensitivity and manipulation. He is almost as powerful as Shooter.

Chris is sarcastic and has trust issues, but he bonded with Joey quickly. Their friendship eventually blossomed to more, and the two became a couple after Joey lost Jade.

Shooter and Chris were awkward with each other at first, but by the end of the book, they came to understand each other better. Chris even began referring to Shooter as "Dad" instead of by his name. Chris is also very fond of Tammy.

RIVER JOSEPH "JOEY" COLLINS

Joey is the son of Jade Collins. His father, River, was sacrificed by Devil Worshippers the day he was born. His mother was only thirteen at the time. His bio as a toddler is in the list of the Silver Society's family members. He considers Corey Shaw to be his father and is very close to him.

Joey is the key to the Tenth Dimension, often referred to as Joey's World. He is the guardian of the balance of all of the dimensions. He can make other people guardians if it is their destiny. His world has rainbows everywhere. Even the animals are rainbow colored. It's a place where chaos and evil are not allowed. No one can enter his world without him opening the door. He can also open doors between dimensions or just between locations in the same realm. The hallway he uses to travel is outside of time, so if someone is dying and they are brought there, they will remain in that exact condition until someone heals them. They can't die.

In addition to those powers, Joey is a telepath and a medium just like his mother. He is a Reaper, but he did not figure out how to unlock his Reaper abilities until he faced off against his mother's killer. The vampire side of his Reaper powers had also not unlocked at that point.

In Salem Shadows, Joey was nearly nineteen years old. It is his destiny to lead this next generation of Salem's protectors. He suffers from impostor syndrome sometimes because he doesn't think he can live up to Alex's legacy, but he's a strong leader, and the others naturally look toward him for guidance. Joey is kindhearted, patient, and naturally tends to take care of everyone around him even when he's not in good shape himself.

ECHO GELMAN

Echo is the daughter of Melissa Morgan and Arnie Gelman, and is the niece of Angelina. Her mother died when she was very young. She is extremely close to her father. When Arnie falls apart, Echo often puts him back together.

Like her mother, Echo is a shapeshifter and a witch. Like Arnie, she is an empath. Like both of her parents, she is also a slayer and a healer. She is snarky, hilarious, basically fearless, and loves practical jokes. Her bubbly nature draws people to her. She can be very impulsive but it usually works for her.

Echo was born in the Burying Point after Melissa was attacked one night. Arnie delivered her himself and healed both Echo and her mother.

During Salem Shadows, Echo was fourteen years old. She and Killian formed a strong friendship full of flirtation that eventually led to them dating after Echo impulsively kissed him at the waterfront.

JAGGER JAMES

Jagger is the biological son of Logan James and is the adopted son of Dylan Messina and the twin brother of Lyric. He was born a rat royal and is a slayer and a witch. Although he can be goofy at times, especially around Lyric, he also has a stoic side. This comes out when he has to tend to wererat business.

The twins nearly died before they could be born. Dylan and Logan's surrogate almost bled out before she could deliver them. Luckily, Dylan was able to heal their birth mother, and the twins made it into the world strong and healthy. Their birth mother would visit them a few times a year like a quirky aunt, always bringing them vinyl records, until she died when they were still pretty young.

Jagger is passionate about music. He is open to all music, but especially appreciates classic rock. He sometimes gets overwhelmed by stress and will retreat to quiet places to refocus and calm down. In Salem Shadows, he started to develop feelings for Chad's little sister, Heather Ko. The two ended up dating. During that book, Jagger was fourteen years old.

LYRIC JAMES

Lyric is the biological daughter of Dylan Messina, and is the adopted daughter of Logan James and the twin sister of Jagger. She is the younger twin. She is a very strong healer. She is also an empath, but does not use her empathy to heal people. She is a slayer and a witch. Jagger infected her as a wererat when she was nine because she almost died.

Lyric is full of energy and light. She can be very hyper and playful but is also a master of sarcasm. Music is her entire life. She has perfect pitch (the ability to identify and match musical notes without hunting for the right tone, and also the ability to perfectly identify a voice with absolute certainty) and can play pretty much any instrument she discovers. 

She and AJ have always been close, and after she helped save AJ's baby sister and Beth in Salem Shadows, they grew even closer. The two officially became a couple after the book ended. During the book, she was fourteen years old.

SOLSTICE KAIDA JONES

Solstice is the daughter of Cassandra Jones and Kurt Flint. She is the niece of Josh and Evan, and the granddaughter of Himari. She is the cousin of Thyme, and although they didn't acknowledge it in Salem Shadows, she is also the cousin of Roxy.

Solstice is the number one slayer in Salem, even outranking her father. Her mother died when she was only two years old. She is fierce and stoic, just like her mother, but there is a gentler side to her. In addition to being a slayer, Solstice is a practicing witch thanks to Kurt.

In Eternal Night, Solstice nearly died when she was born. While Jonathan saved Cassandra, Lou Anne used magick to help Solstice develop as if she was a full-term baby despite her being premature. Without the intervention of the Powers That Be, Solstice would not have survived.

Despite Solstice's hatred of warlocks, she grew protective of Genie. The two became close friends, appreciating that they could just be themselves around each other without expectations. Eventually, they kissed and ended up becoming a couple. During Salem Shadows, Solstice was fifteen years old.

DANIKA KO

Danika was raised by Chad Ko, but she is actually the secret daughter of Cierra Denton and Alex Paxton. She is the niece of Hillary, Rikki, Terri, Jack, and Jill, and the granddaughter of Tyler, Jodi, and Lynn. She also considers Bobbi to be her grandmother.

Danika was hidden in the past and raised by Chad to keep her safe from her heritage as the youngest living Vitti descendant. Chad claimed he found her abandoned and took her in. Since Chad raised her, Mr. Ko is technically her grandfather and Heather is her aunt.

Danika is incredibly powerful. She has the powers of the entire Vitti line and is clairvoyant like Cierra. Like Alex, she's an all-around psychic. Chad raised her as a warlock but kept her safe from the life of the E.V.S, rarely bringing her out in public. He kept her hidden, making her wear a cloak and hood at E.V.S. meetings and homeschooling her until she was old enough to protect herself. She brings out his softer side and is the one person that can always remind him of his humanity without fail.

She has a kind heart and is exceptionally brilliant. She inherited Alex's scroll. Danika is dating Justin Lodge, Kelly's son. He helps her ground when her magick overwhelms her. During Salem Shadows, Danika was sixteen.

ANGELINA PHILLIPS

Angelina is the daughter of Courtney Phillips and, for a long time, an unknown father. She is the older sister of Hunter, Brandon, Chloe, Chelsea, and Phoebe, the niece of Aideen, the granddaughter of Clarissa and Benny, and the great-niece of Liora.

When Angelina was born, Courtney split a body off to raise her in secret and hide her from everyone. She aged her with magick, so despite her being conceived when Joey was two, they are the same age. Joey and Angelina have been best friends since they met at three years old.

Angelina is a powerful healer, possibly the strongest healer in Salem's history. She is a Reaper, a vampire, and a witch. She is also a slayer, unlike her mother. She's very empathic and kindhearted. She is more shy than her mother and not nearly as wild when it comes to boys. There is an innocence and purity to her that is unexpected in someone her age.

During Salem Shadows, Angelina felt compelled to find her father. As it turned out, it was Luigi Ossinini, making her Arnie's younger half-sister. In a misguided attempt to help save her mysterious father from Bonnie's control, the nearly nineteen-year-old Angelina resurrected Luigi. He then abducted her and ultimately did some very evil things, including killing Jade. Angelina still somewhat blames herself for that.

Throughout the book, Angelina and Jason had a strong grumpy/sunshine dynamic between them. At the end of the book, Jason kissed her, and after the book ended, they became an official couple.

ROXANNA "ROXY" PHOENIX

Roxy was raised by corrupt slayers. Her true lineage was a mystery until Randy and Dylan realized she was most likely Aideen and Evan's daughter, a fact Arnie soon confirmed. This makes her Clarissa and Benny's granddaughter, Liora's great-niece, as well as the cousin of Angelina, Hunter, Brandon, Chloe, Chelsea, and Phoebe. Although it wasn't acknowledged in Salem Shadows, her soul is also Solstice's cousin because Evan and Kurt's souls are brothers.

Aideen was only six weeks pregnant when she died. Judas used magick to steal Roxy from Aideen's womb, gave her to Lou Anne so she could save her and develop her as if she'd been born at full term, then made Lou Anne forget. Roxy was raised slightly in the past and hidden with the corrupt slayers who raised her. She did not know she was "adopted" until the truth came out.

She is feisty, sarcastic, and is a badass warrior. She is skilled in hand-to-hand combat, wielding a sword, using a gun, archery, and most of all, magick. She is a talented slayer, a Reaper, a vampire, a witch, and a royal wereleopard. She can also control dragons, just like Aideen.

Arnie asked Johnny to help him get legal custody of Roxy to get her away from her "not-my-real-parents." Arnie and Roxy quickly became close, with Roxy feeling compelled to look after him and help him when he was in trouble just like Aideen always did. Roxy also grew close to Echo and kind of views her as a sister. Arnie also took in Roxy's foster sister, Izzy, to make sure she didn't end up in foster care. Roxy is very protective of Izzy.

During Salem Shadows, Roxy was fifteen years old. She befriended the dragon Aideen gifted to Conant High School to protect it, Sir Ignatius. She ended up falling for Tristan Saunders, a relationship that concerned quite a few people because of his warlock bloodline.

JASON SANCHEZ

Jason is sarcastic and troubled. He was raised by his alcoholic, severely abusive mother and never knew his father. It unexpectedly came out that he was Jesse's son. Like his father, he has a criminal record. His life was very difficult prior to fleeing from Boston to Salem at eighteen years old. He is a polywere royal, and just like Jesse, his wolf is his dominant beast. He also inherited Jesse's power to walk between Valley and Mirror, a gift he was still learning to control at the end of Salem Shadows.

Although he was reluctant to join the Shadows, Jason agreed. He moved in with Courtney and Trent, who were eager to take him in once they learned he was Jesse's son. He frequently lashed out at Angelina and condescendingly nicknamed her Princess, but he came to care about her fairly quickly and felt compelled to protect her. As Salem Shadows continued, his affection for her became clear. They ultimately became a couple.

THYME KAIDA SAKI

Thyme is the daughter of Lou Anne and Mirror Josh Saki, the niece of Cassandra, and the cousin of Solstice. She was conceived while Mirror Josh was healing Lou Anne, who Judas had left near-death and tossed into Mirror. She was born in Mirror and taken to the In-Between by a very young Joey. Merrick took care of her, and even after he left the In-Between, he frequently returned to visit her. Lou Anne visited Thyme in her dreams while she lived In-Between, and they have a strong bond.

Thyme is bubbly and happy most of the time but can be serious when needed. She's a bit socially awkward, but she's always excited to make new friends. She is full of Light and is an official descendant of a Power That Be.

She has Light magick, can walk the time line, and is both a healer and an empath. Jason discovered her the first time he traveled to the In-Between. She lent her energy to Chris and Cedric to save the kidnapped warlocks, and she later physically joined the battle against the Southern warlocks, Luigi, and Judas. During Salem Shadows, she was sixteen.

AIDEN JEREMY "AJ" SCHWARTZ

AJ is the son of Randy Schwartz and Beth Ashford, the older brother of DJ, the grandson of Darla, Lewis, and Maggie, the nephew of Kevin and Nyxie (and their spouses, Katie and Merrick), and the cousin of Francesca and Juliet. He is just like Randy. He considers Jade and Corey to be his aunt and uncle and Joey to be his cousin.

AJ is very athletic, is kind of obsessed with perfection, and is terrified of zombies. He is a slayer. He is very protective of his mother and baby sister.

AJ is telekinetic and a necromancer/medium. He is an empath, a slayer, and a witch. He is more comfortable fighting physically in battle than magickally.

He is the youngest of the Salem Shadows by a couple of weeks. During Salem Shadows, AJ was fourteen years old. Beth almost died in childbirth, but Evan and Arnie saved her life. AJ was stillborn because Judas changed his time, but AJ changed it back and resurrected him. AJ was named after Aideen and Jeremy.

AJ and Lyric were close friends for most of their lives. Eventually, other feelings started to develop. They grew closer when Lyric helped bring DJ into the world, and even more so after Dylan died. They began dating officially shortly after the end of Salem Shadows.

GENIE BLAIRE WHITE

Genie is the daughter of Lydia Blaire and Arthur White, the older sister of Killian, and the granddaughter of Amos. Arthur raised her and did a spell to alter her DNA, but she is not biologically his. Only Arthur, Kit, Lydia, Danny, and Jade know this. Genie's biological father was most likely Lydia's uncle, but Lydia won't admit it.

Genie is kind and very shy. She is a warlock but isn't even slightly evil. She is a powerful seer whose visions are always accurate even if they don't happen the way people expect. She carries a notebook with her everywhere so she can sketch her visions. She is a gifted artist. She is very close to Arthur and is also close to Kit. Genie's mental health can occasionally be fragile. Kit makes her feel like it's okay to not have it all together all the time.

During Salem Shadows, Genie was about to turn sixteen. She was often bullied at school by kids who acted like her mother's mental illness was contagious and she must be "crazy," too. The other warlocks also picked on her because she refused to get involved with them. At one point, three young warlocks tried to attack her in school. Solstice realized she was in danger and brought Joey to help her. Genie and Solstice soon formed a strong friendship that ultimately led to romance, and they became a couple.

KILLIAN WHITE

Killian is the son of Arthur White and Kit McPherson, the grandson of Amos, the younger half-brother of Faith and Genie, and the uncle of Maeve. He is charming, snarky, and can be as bitchy and blunt as his mother at times, but he's a good person. He is extremely close to his mother but is also pretty close to his father.

Killian is hydrokinetic and is very good at warlock magick. He's extremely powerful just like his parents. When Kit hits the point of blind rage, Killian is the only one who can go blow for blow with her magickally and snap her out of it.

During Salem Shadows, Killian was fourteen years old. He developed a crush on Echo after seeing her pull off an amusing prank. Ultimately, after Echo impulsively kissed him on the waterfront, they become a couple.
