Spoilers if you have not read Inner Demons. This cast is extremely large, especially with the introduction of so many Devil Worshippers, so I have to be very picky about who gets pictures.

DEVIL WORSHIPPERS

STEVEN BURKE

Steven was Skip and Susie's older brother. For over twenty years, Skip and Susie believed he was killed when the cult was run out of Salem. He insisted on calling Skip by his childhood nickname of Sammy.

Steven was a necromancer. During a ritual, Evan shot him in the head after he sent Jade's parents and many other spirits after her. Zachariah killed a teenager and brought Steven back from the dead minutes later, saying they still needed his gifts.

Although Steven kidnapped Skip, he did not really harm he. He even fed him his favorite comfort food. He later kidnapped Susie, who collapsed upon realizing he was alive. Susie called him on the fact that, even though he did what the cult wanted and hurt them when they were kids, she knew he would self-injure afterward to punish himself for it because he hated hurting them.

Steven would have done anything to protect his siblings, but he was misguided. Upon realizing Dale was not keeping his word that both Susie and Skip would be safe, Steven jumped between Balthos and Skip, taking a bullet to save his life. Before he died in Skip's arms, he apologized, saying he was just trying to protect them. He also told him he loved them, which Skip said back before Steven died. His last words were "I'm proud of you... Skip."

DEMOS

Demos was Evie's brother. He abducted her for the cult.

When Demos was fourteen, Alestair spared his life after killing his parents. He made him watch and told him to "learn something" from it before leaving him staring at their bodies.

Demos stabbed Evie six times in the chest, killing her to destroy Alestair's humanity. Alestair cut open his chest, squeezed his heart, and ultimately tore it from his chest.

EVELYN

Evelyn was Alestair's humanity. She was a doctor and a powerful healer. Evie was only a few months younger than Alestair and was his one true friend when he was a child. Unlike most of the cult, Evie called Alestair by his incarnated name of Peter. Like Alestair, she was born into the Queens, New York chapter of the cult.

As a child, Evie refused to take her cult vows. Her parents were ordered to kill her. Alestair volunteered to kill her instead. He used his own blood to hide her in a pocket realm. Once it was safe, he brought her back. She remained hidden from everyone by his blood. Evie was the only one who didn't want to use him for his power, and he refused to lose her.

Evie knew Bobbi through art galas. When Bobbi and the twins were being held hostage, Evie realized they were in danger and asked Alestair for help. He sent Balthos. 

Evie was abducted by her brother Demos and brought to Salem for the cult. He stabbed her six times in the chest in front of Alestair. 

Evie died in Alestair's arms after begging him not to let the cult take his heart. Her death sent Alestair over the edge into darkness.

HELLENA

Hellena is a nine year old cult child from the Manhattan chapter, which is the one Jade grew up in. Her family intentionally spelled her name with two L's to emphasize Hell, but she proved to be a disappointment because she is sweet and completely pure of heart. Her parents almost sacrificed her, but Jade sacrificed her mom, Trudi, instead.

She was rescued along with some of the other kids after the Silver Society interrupted a ritual meant to bind them to the cult. She remained hidden at the Unit after that.

During the final battle, Beth split Hellena's father's atoms, making her an orphan. She was taken in as a foster kid by Annabella, who started the process of adopting her.

JANIE

Janie is a six year old demon who was "awakened" by the Manhattan cult. She has no eyes, and an inverted cross was carved into her forehead. Janie was once a normal little girl who the cult abducted and tortured before sacrificing her. After her death, they raised her as a demon. She can be bound by hex bags for a day or two, but it never lasts for long.

JEBEDIAH

Jebediah is Jonah's younger brother. He is one of the leaders of the Queens chapter of the cult. He is completely loyal to Alestair. He is wise and is a doctor. Although Jebediah tortures people ruthlessly, he has a soft spot for cult kids because he was one. After torturing them, he usually takes care of their injuries and even attempts to comfort some of them. He is not nearly as evil as his brother, but he plays the part well.

When Judas initially contacted Jonah, Jebediah advised against following his plan. He  did not want to do something he knew Alestair wouldn't approve of, but he didn't defy his older brother. When Alestair found out, he was furious. He gave Jebediah one last chance to prove his loyalty.

Jebediah began behaving after that. Although Jonah begged Jebediah to save him when he was dying, Jebediah sided with Alestair, saying he was more his family than Jonah had ever been.

Jebediah is not exactly one of the good guys, but he is not pure evil either.

JONAH

Jonah was the leader of the Manhattan Devil Worshippers. Judas convinced him to reclaim Salem for the cult. He was the ringleader of the events of this book.

He freed Matteo Rodriguez from prison and helped awaken his soul. To solidify their claim to the land, he sacrificed a young warlock named Bree Ortiz and also sacrificed Ambrosia Liggman. He kept trying to activate Jade's programming and routinely sent her into turmoil.

During the final battle, while Jade was in severe distress from her conflicting programming,  Corey used a dagger given to him by Kelly to cut Jonah's chest above his heart and steal his immortality. When Corey was in mortal danger, Jade sent a telepathic ball of the programming and all of her pain at Jonah, causing him severe head pain.  Alestair gave Jade his sword. Jonah begged Jebediah to save him, but Jebediah stood with Alestair. Jonah begged Jade for mercy, telling her not to be the monster the cult made her become. Jade shoved the sword into his chest where Corey had already cut him. He bled out in seconds.

LANCE

Lance was Jonah's favorite lackey. He liked to torture Jade every chance he got when she was younger. She slashed his throat and killed him to make a point to Jonah.

LETTY

Letty is a sadistic bitch from the Manhattan chapter. She has medical training. She was part of the battle that broke out when the cult kidnapped Dylan. Her ultimate fate is not shown in the book, but she is presumed to have escaped with the cult members who fled.

ROBYN LUCERO

Robyn was once Jade's beloved friend from the Manhattan cult. She is two years older than Jade and was like a big sister to her. Robyn betrayed Jade, slashing her hand open at the binding ritual and binding her to the cult. She expressed anger that Jade had "betrayed" her family when she killed her parents.

During a battle, Dylan almost killed Robyn, but Jade asked him not to. Every chance she got, Robyn betrayed Jade, but Jade refused to kill her. During the final battle, Corey ensured Robyn got hit with a paralysis spell, which took her out of the battle and kept her safe.

Ultimately, Robyn fled with the other cult members and survived the book.

NOAH

Although he is not as bad as some of the other Manhattan cult members, Noah is still a threat.  He is a doctor and a strong healer. After Dylan was injured right after he healed him, Noah whined about it.

Noah was working at the psychiatric hospital to get close to Lydia. He ultimately drugged and abducted her so he could bring her to the ritual.

He fled and survived.

DALE RICHARDS

Dale was the leader of the Salem chapter. He tortured Susie when she was a child because he was obsessed with her. Unknown to anyone, he fathered a child with an extremely young Susie, who turned out to be Gigi. Dale believed she was stillborn.

Dale was pure evil. He ensured only his kin could kill him, which he believed to be impossible because they all died when the cult was run out of Salem. He didn't have any idea that his daughter was still alive.

When Dale ordered Katie to stab Melissa, she stabbed him instead. He tried to kill Annabella, but Katie intervened. Susie interfered the next time he tried despite her fear. At that point, Gigi got involved. She stabbed him in the chest before using a faerie attack that killed him in a burst of pink, purple, and green magick. This turned him to ash.

MAX RILEY

Max was Evan's cousin and was his only living relative. He was a few months younger than Evan, who always tried to protect him when they were growing up. He was part of the Manhattan chapter.  When they were younger, Evan spared his life hoping he'd change. He only joined the cult because he needed the power to kill his parents. Jonah recruited him when he was scared and bruised and promised to nurture his power. Max sacrificed his parents with the cult surrounding them.

Max planted the spirit board that unleashed the demon that ultimately possessed Alex. Despite a meeting with Evan that ended with him getting shot in the leg, Max kept pushing his cousin's limits. Ultimately, he held Aideen at knifepoint, even drawing a small amount of blood. This made Evan shoot and kill him.

Although this traumatized Evan, he knew he did what he had to, and he admitted he'd do it again.

MATTEO RODRIGUEZ

Even before he got involved with the supernatural, Matteo was evil. He was Jesse's father, who beat his wife, Louisa, to death. Jonah broke him out of prison and awakened his soul. That was when he learned he was Lucifer's favorite son. He came into his powers quickly.

For his initiation into the Salem chapter, he sacrificed a thirteen-year-old werewolf named Mandisa Washington. She was Kwame's cousin, and Kwame became determined to kill the entire cult because of this. That only got worse when Matteo abducted Jesse.

When Matteo beat up Tommi, Jesse attacked him as a wolf, bit his leg, tasted blood, and his vampire side took over. He fed on his father, drained him dry, and beat until his knuckles bled. Tommi had to stop him. She kissed him to shock him out of his panic. This was the start of Jesse and Tommi's romantic relationship.

SKEETER

Skeeter is a cult kid from Manhattan. Because he is a conduit, the cult always used him in rituals to boost their power. He is only six, and all he ever knew was torture until he was rescued along with Hellena and some other cult kids. Despite this, he is very sweet, cute, and snuggly.

Skeeter was adopted by Annabella along with Katie and Hellena.

KAITLYN "KATIE" SPRINGFIELD

Katie is Melissa's ex-girlfriend and very close friend. She's a free spirit who dances to Stevie Nicks in the woods. She was part of the Cape Cod cult, a fact Melissa didn't know until she saw her at a ritual. Her family moved to Cape Cod three years earlier, and she moved back to Salem at the start of this book.

Austin attacked her father, biting him to disrupt the ritual and protect the other cult kids. Katie told Melissa to run when her mother ordered her to kill her. Her parents beat her for that act of defiance.

When Dale ordered Katie to stab Melissa at the final ritual, Katie stabbed him instead. She then saved Annabella from a spell, leaving her with a head injury. Katie later begged her parents to walk away after Lucifer's incarnation was killed. Her mother wanted to, but her father called her a coward. Her father tried to activate Katie's programming to punish herself for betraying them, but Melissa kept her grounded. Annabella shielded Katie with a spell. Jacob broke her father's neck. Amos White cast a death spell on her mom.

Annabella offered to take her in, saying she needed it as much as Katie did. She later adopted her.

EJ THOMAS

EJ is a vile man. He is the son of a high ranking Queens cult member. Austin thinks EJ stands for "Evil Jackass." He is the father of Duncan, who dated Lorelei so he could beat and abduct Austin.

WILSON

Wilson is a sadistic cult member from Manhattan. He is a doctor. He is Letty's lackey. He most likely survived the book by fleeing.

ZACHARIAH

Zachariah was the only person who could control Alestair. This was because he basically raised his incarnation, Peter. He often called him Peter to activate his programming and keep him under his control. He was a terrifyingly evil immortal. He was so infamous, everyone from the New York supernatural community knew who he was. He was nearly three centuries old.

Zachariah sacrificed his wife and six children for power and immortality. He was a sociopath. He was not affiliated with any one chapter but worked with Queens and Manhattan the most.

During the big battle, Alestair took back Zachariah's immortality and his self-healing powers. Belinda, Gigi, and Jade shot light magick at him while Alestair hit him with pure darkness. He burst into flames and burned to ash, which then scattered on the winds.

THE POWERS THAT BE

(These are basically the entities from the Other Side who oversee the Silver Society, give them their assignments, and are not supposed to directly interfere in their lives. They are not incarnated and don't actually have their own bodies. As was revealed in Once in a Blue Moon, one of them is secretly evil. That person calls themselves Judas and uses a different appearance every time they meet with their allies, such as Rikki or Jonah.)

CAROLYN

Carolyn is a Demon of Darkness. She is Lou Anne's ride or die best friend. Jade killing Trudi gave the cult the power to summon her and she was kidnapped, an act which was sanctioned by Alestair.

Carolyn is the only one of the Silver Society's "bosses" who comes from the Darkness, but she is not evil. She has a temper and has no patience for stupidity. She is as tough as nails and is incredibly powerful. She has a dark, twisted sense of humor.

After he was exorcised from Alex's body, Carolyn helped stop Bob the Demon.

JAMES

James is a Demon of Light who is exceptionally rule-bound. He is kind of cranky, and he will not interfere in things in the world of the living no matter what, but he did stop Lou Anne from trying to "engage the Ultimate Darkness in battle."

JONATHAN

Jonathan is more likely to get involved than James and Nathaniel, but he is still reluctant. He is kinder and more sympathetic than they are. He is a Demon of Light.

After he was exorcised from Alex's body, Jonathan helped stop Bob the Demon.

LOU ANNE

Lou Anne is a Demon of Light with a southern drawl. She is Carolyn's best friend. She is quicker to get involved in the world of the living than the men are. Of all of the Powers That Be, Lou Anne is the most approachable and sympathetic.

She is feisty and is no pushover. When no one else would help Carolyn, she manifested a physical form to do it herself, prompting the others to reluctantly go after her.

After he was exorcised from Alex's body, Lou Anne helped stop Bob the Demon.

NATHANIEL

Nathaniel is a Demon of Light. He does not get involved. He is very firm in that belief. He's a bit of a jerk.

LYCANTHROPES

Lycanthropes are listed alphabetically by species, but each species has its members grouped in order of rank, not alphabetical order. Dominance is very important among lycanthropes, so it seemed appropriate to list them this way.

LEOPARDS:

CEDAR LA RUE

Cedar is the top ranking non-royal wereleopard. She is second only to Kurt and Evan, and she serves as a balance to them. She is very practical, but is a badass in battle. She is a natural leader. She did not hesitate to tell David he was an idiot for following Kwame.

CHARLOTTE MARONE

Charlotte is a powerful healer. She can be very gentle, but is fierce in battle.

VINCENT "VINNY" VINCENT

Vinny Vincent was born a warlock. His parents tried to kill him for getting infected as a wereleopard. He killed them instead and decided to switch sides to the good guys. He has a really good sense of humor about his name.

DAVID PRAXIS

David is a fierce warrior. He decided to go against the Pard and follow Kwame into the poorly planned rescue mission. Despite his poor choices, he survived. Kurt, Evan, and Cedar are no longer sure he can be trusted.

RATS:

EMMA JULIEN

Emma is the second-in-command of the Rat Pack. It was assumed from the time they were kids that she would marry Logan. Emily is fully aware that he is gay, but she still plays her role as the Second well, doing what is expected. She is fierce, loyal, and is a good leader. She is very loyal to Logan.

MIGUEL ORTIZ

Miguel is the third in command of the Rats. He is very loyal to Logan.

DAISY YANG

Daisy is the fourth in command. She is very loyal to Logan.

TURNER QUINN

Turner was the fifth in command. He thought Logan was too young to lead the rats and made this clear. He frequently challenged and antagonized him.

Turner followed Kwame on the rescue mission and lost his life.

CARINA XAVIER

Carina was the sixth in command. She had a good heart, which Turner used to talk her into following Kwame on the rescue mission. She shut down after Jeff died, and she ultimately lost her life.

JEFF VALDEZ

Jeff was the seventh in command. Turner talked him into participating in Kwame's rescue mission. He was decapitated during the fight.

WINSTON MAVERICK

Winston was the eighth in command. He was
Determined to strike fast to rescue Jesse. Because of this, he joined Kwame's rescue mission and ultimately lost his life.

RAVENS:

CHARLES VERNON

Charles was the second in command of the Ravens. He chose to join Kwame's rescue mission. Jonah shot him in the head, killing him instantly.

BRYAN & BRYNN O'ROURKE

Bryan and Brynn are twins. They have powerful magick but can also fight. They are both trained slayers with strong senses of humor.

WOLVES:

CAMILLE WASHINGTON

Camille was Kwame's wife, making her the pack's Luna, or mother figure. She had two children with Kwame. She was gentle but fiercely loyal. She stood by Kwame during the rescue mission.

Her throat was slashed just before Kwame could reach her. This sent him over the edge. He mauled her killer, then grieved briefly before turning homicidal again.

GILL CRONIN

Gill is the Beta of the wolf pack. He and Kwame were best friends since they were kids, especially after Kwame killed the former abusive Alpha and took over the pack.

Gill tried to talk Kwame out of the rescue mission. He especially objected when Kwame implied the cult kids might become necessary sacrifices to get Jesse back. He alerted Belinda to the plan. Ultimately, when faced with an impossible choice, Gill saved Belinda over Kwame. It broke his heart, but he knew it was the right choice.

Gill decided not to become the Alpha and asked Belinda to do it instead. He said it would be an honor to serve under her as her Beta.

BAXTER DELEON

Baxter was the pack's Gamma, making him their fiercest warrior. He trained Tyla. He was quick to anger, and he wanted revenge for Mandi's death.

During the rescue mission, Baxter sided with Kwame and encouraged his plan.

He was stabbed twice, once with a knife and once with a sword. The sword finally took him down.

TYLA ROSEN

Tyla is the pack's current Gamma. She was trained by Baxter. She is a fierce warrior.

She fought fiercely after Baxter died. She was actually against the plan but couldn't defy Baxter and Kwame because their wolves were more dominant than hers. After the battle, Tyla became the new Gamma.

OTHER

BARTIMASS ("BOB THE DEMON")

Bartimass will forever be known as Bob the demon. He was attached to a spirit board which a group of college kids used at The Witch City Inn. He possessed Connie before ultimately ending up inside of Alex.

Since he refused to tell Aideen his name, claiming he didn't answer to her, she named him Bob the Demon. This stuck, and to weaken him by denying him his proper name, everyone else started calling him Bob, too.

While in Alex's body, Bob the Demon attacked several people he loved, including the Silver Society and his family. He even split off one of Alex's bodies to hide in New York so he wouldn't die if the other body was killed. He was working with the cult. He wreaked a great deal of havoc, even briefly killing Cierra, but in the end, he was defeated.

After getting exorcised from Alex's body, he refused to return to the Darkness with Carolyn, so Alex stabbed him in the chest with Melissa's athame. It destroyed him with a blast of light and fire. Although Bob the Demon never explained who he answered to if not the Reapers, it was most likely Judas.

PROFESSOR CEDRIC BECKER

Cedric is Hugo's older brother and is a professor at Cierra's college. He is a warlock, but is not strictly evil. He is loyal to Cierra. He saved her from Alex, getting his throat slashed for his efforts. Cierra used her blood to reverse his wound and saved his life. When Chad went down, Cedric gave him CPR. Upon regaining consciousness, Chad took advantage of this and kissed him. He has a very good sense of humor.

ANDREW CLINTON

Andrew was Mark and Maggie's father, making him Kevin, Beth, and Nyxie's grandfather. He was an incarnation of Lucifer. Mark and Lewis killed him after he tortured and severely injured Maggie when they were in college. Mark blocked it all out. As a teenager, Lewis bound Mark because Mark feared his powers. He could have created a storm to wipe Salem off the map. Lewis unbound Mark just to kill Andrew.

When Andrew ran into Mark and Nyxie, Mark tried to protect her despite his fear of his father. Andrew ultimately agreed not to harm Mark if Nyxie, who had frozen time, went with him. She agreed.

During the battle, Nyxie brought Serena and Ellyn's bodies out of the past and called their souls from the other side to take on Lucifer.  Serena stabbed him in the back with Gabriel's sword as Ellyn stabbed him in the chest with Michael's.

Nyxie slashed Kevin's palms and her own before convincing Beth to let her cut her, too. Their blood was connected to Andrew's, so only their blood could be used to bind him from being resurrected again. Beth reluctantly agreed when Lucifer started healing. Once he was bound, Nyxie told Serena and Ellyn to pull the swords out. Andrew promptly bled out.

His soul manifested. Nyxie sent Serena and Ellyn's bodies back to their time, but their souls remained. They dragged Lucifer back to the Other Side.

CARRIE

Carrie was a college girl on vacation in Salem with friends. She was from North Dakota. When they decided to "play" with a spirit board, she objected, but was outvoted. She ended up getting possessed, killing her friends and the employees of the Witch City Inn, and ultimately killing herself in front of Alex as he tried to stop her.

The demon spread demon to Alex when he got cut while trying to take the knife from Carrie.

CAPTAIN TOBIAS JOHNSON

Tobias is the liaison between the mortal cops and the Unit. He is a very good man. He is mortal but open minded.

GEORGINA "GIGI" NOVA

Gigi's soul is Faerie royalty. She is very colorful, and her magick manifests as brightly colored lights and glitter. Her soul is Alex's daughter. Belinda is her soul's older sister and Jade is their younger sister. Together, they balance Alestair. They also have three brothers who do the same, but they are not incarnated in Salem.

Gigi blows kisses of pink glitter to annoy those who threaten her. She is Dale and Susie's daughter, who everyone thought was stillborn. The faeries took pity on Susie's situation and raised Gigi in the Faerie Realm. Time moves differently there, so despite being born twenty-seven years ago, she is only nineteen.

She calls Belinda "Bells." She can read impressions people leave behind or put out into the Universe.

At the ritual, Gigi helped Susie kill Dale. She stabbed him in the chest before attacking him with a burst of pink, purple, and green faerie magick that turned him to ash.

Gigi is as hyper as Susie. She is cheerful, a dreamer, and a ray of sunshine. She is excited to finally be with her mother and to have a chance to get to know her uncle Skip.

JACK PAXTON

Jack is the son of Bobbi and Juan Paxton. He is Jill's twin and is Alex and Hillary's little brother. Although he appears earlier in the series, it was revealed in this book that he has light magick. His light tendrils pulled Bobbi from the room where Bob the Demon was attacking her. Jack is scared of Balthos.

JILL PAXTON

Jill is the daughter of Bobbi and Juan Paxton. She is Jack's twin and is Alex and Hillary's little sister. Although she appears earlier in the series, it was revealed in this book that she has dark magick. She can control shadows, and used them to attack Bob the Demon after he attacked her mother.

Jill took a liking to Balthos. She removed his hood, rubbed his bald head, and giggled. At one point, she even snuggled him, prompting Bobbi to worry her baby's first crush was on a demonic assassin.

ANGELINA PHILLIPS

Angelina is Courtney's daughter. When Benny died, Courtney started coping by sleeping around. Upon finding out she was pregnant, she split off a body to have the baby and raise her. Courtney aged her, so she is three years old just like Joey. Although Courtney knows who her father is, she won't tell anyone.

Angelina is bubbly and cute. She is already a powerful healer. When Courtney collapsed after Rafe raised the zombies, Angelina healed the body that was with her. Courtney only told Aideen the truth after Lucifer tried to abduct Angelina, which led to them both telling Clarissa. Although Clarissa was initially mad at Courtney, one look at her granddaughter put a stop to that.

She is already becoming very close to Joey. The two are inseparable. She is Joey's first real friend who is his age.

The cult tried to sacrifice Joey, Angelina, and Genie at the ritual, but it thankfully didn't happen.

LORELEI RENO

Lorelei is Austin's alcoholic mother. She didn't notice he was abducted or that her date for the night beat the hell out of him. She isn't physically abusive, but she neglects him and he gets abused by her boyfriends. She is a vampire.

No matter what, Austin always goes home to her because he knows she needs him and can't take care of herself.

ERICA VITTI

Although she is referenced constantly in the series, in this book, Erica's spirit actually appeared. Erica Vitti was a founding member of the Eight Spokes Society, a supremely evil warlock group that no longer exists. The biggest warlock secret society currently in existence is named after her. She was incredibly powerful and revered, and she was very evil. She had several descendants, but they were all believed to have been killed. She has two known living descendants, Cierra and Rikki.

She tried to force Cierra to be evil after Bob the Demon killed her. She told Cierra that, to save her life, she must take another. Cierra refused. She almost convinced Cierra to trust her by promising she could see her mother, but Chad stopped her.

Erica tried to destroy Cierra's mother, Joan Denton, but Chad jumped in the way of the spell. Erica shrugged, said he'd reincarnate, them told Cierra if she embraced her birthright she could save him. Cierra stubbornly saved Chad on her own.

Impressed that Cierra mended the rope linking Chad to his body, Erica allowed her to return to her body.

GENIE BLAIRE WHITE

Genie was born during a Devil Worshipper ritual where they intended to sacrifice her, Joey, and Angelina. She is the daughter of Lydia and her uncle, but thanks to a spell, she shares Arthur's DNA and everyone thinks she is his daughter. He is raising her because Lydia didn't trust anyone else to do it.

After Lydia was abducted by Noah, the cult induced her labor. Genie was premature and stillborn, but Kit used water magick to resurrect her.  Lydia called her her "magickal little wish" because she'd wished for her to be healthy, safe, and beautiful and she was despite the circumstances of her birth, prompting Arthur to name her Genie. He gave her the middle name of Blaire so she'd have something to connect her to Lydia.
