Chapter 69: Acceptance

It was finally towards the end of the week and the young prince was growing a bit too worried now. It was just days back when he confessed about his true identity; only then, he watched the one he loved shift from a happy and somewhat strict personality, to a clingy and overprotective man every second. "Where are you going? Stay here! You can't leave me!" Jimin would tell Jungkook even when the boy would just go to the bathroom for a while.

Jimin's behavior was so different now. Of course, Jimin couldn't tell if he seemed off. It felt normal to him and just swept his actions under the rug with a smile. He couldn't even tell how bad he was getting from all of this. Jimin was insane and something like that struck fear into Jungkook's heart. He had no idea the love of his life would be like this... Yet, he understood why this happened and that was because he alone was killing Jimin. He killed his social life; Jimin had no other friends and didn't even long to show up for work. Claiming his father was working for him now.

The couple stood in the room, putting on their attire together because Jungkook knew Jimin would lose himself if his lover went off to change elsewhere. Jimin opened his dresser and pierced to the back where he looked at his back and white formal outfit he wore quite similar in his dream. However, the only one he truly lost was his sanity and his best friend. Thinking back on him just left a sting where his heart still fought forward.

"Jiminie.... Are you okay?" Jungkook whispered as he had yet to put on his dress shirt. Realizing Jimin was just staring at his outfit; not really showing effort in him wanting to put on his own tie or dress shirt. Unexpectedly, Jimin gripped onto the dress shirt, tightening his grip along the sleeved cuff and letting out a sharp exhale. "H-Hey... Jimin..."

"He's not dead... I-I know he isn't." Jimin whispered in tears. After all this time, he alone tossed the truth of losing his best friend just under a rug while he lived life. Not knowing by the end of the week, those feelings were only dug right back up and he started to lose it slowly. Recently, these sudden outbreaks were enough to prepare Jungkook for when it was going to happen. The younger approached Jimin and gave him a hug from the back as he rested his head over Jimin's shoulder.

"Shh... You can't hide this forever; Jimin, Sehiro is gone... I told you this far to many times. We were doing so well... You need to understand when someone is gone... They'll never come back. You need to be more accepting towards it. You can't live like this!" Jungkook stated and kept his body clinging onto the back of his lover's trembling body.

"N-No...no he's not. I won't carry his body out... Not when he's still out there." Jimin continued and with every word, Jungkook was held accountable for everything his lover uttered. Jimin used to be aware of these things... But only now, he lost a sense of that and grew confused when it came to figuring out his friend was no longer here.

"Jimin... Jimin listen to me..." Jungkook whispered and stepped in front of him. "It's true... He's gone. He's been gone for a while now and.. He would've loved it if you would help carry his body. It's great honor to him... You meant a lot to him, Jimin." Jungkook mentioned as Jimin looked at him with his eyes tearing up. "Don't do this to me; you scare me everytime." Jungkook claimed. Not wanting Jimin to slowly slip back into shouting and throwing things. Just those things were enough to scare Jungkook and leave him pressing his body against the corner of the wall as he cupped his own face from the tears. Out of the many things, who knew that this gang leader was afraid of his own lover losing his mind?

Such actions left scars; Jimin would throw and shout things while he had his hands thrown and tugging onto his hair and he'd yell rude things to himself. Most words he would shout were extremely upsetting and Jungkook would run to him and cling onto him just to calm Jimin down. But at other times, Jungkook was too scared to do anything. Jimin was the only one he loved in this world, along with his gang members; yet, the love he had for Jimin was so huge, he held back from the pain that rushed to the prince when he'd see Jimin grow so insane because of his own doings. This left Jungkook to realize that his purpose here was to kill Jimin and shove him off the high pedestal; and that was what he did. Only in reality, he killed Jimin mentally.

Jimin finally stopped and learned to grow familiar towards accepting it. Today was Riyu Sehiro's viewing. A victim from the start and the gang leader himself only sat on Jimin's lap as they sat down silently on the bed with their outfits thrown on, ready to go at any moment. Jimin rose his hands along Jungkook's waist as the boy sat on his lap, facing his body towards his lover while he refused to move and let Jimin breakdown. This was what called the sane Jimin back to the surface as he hugged Jungkook close and softly sobbed onto the boy's shoulder. Jungkook never judged Jimin for not being a man, only because he himself would cry, strong men would cry too and that was only normal for him to feel that way. How strong could a man be if he never experienced true tears?

After a good while, it was finally time. The viewing came first and Jimin grew nervous. This was his last time seeing the man he grew to adore for his funny personality and his loving guidance from one wise man to another. His wife was of course the only one who never turned her back on him when the world did; just like Jimin when he had no other choice but to turn his back on him too. All because of peer pressure alone.

Eventually, Jimin got to the car as Jungkook only stood in front of the driver's door. "Jimin... Let me drive.." Jungkook insisted as the older just refused.

"What, do you think I'm going to lose it on my way there?" Jimin snapped as Jungkook nodded his head and dropped his hands over Jimin's shoulders as they matched on their black suits for the occasion.

"It's possible, Jimin. Please listen to the one that loves you." Jungkook claimed as Jimin rolled his eyes and placed on his shades once he opened the car door to his driver's seat.

"Get in..." The older growled, knowing it was for the best once he watched how worried his little bunny grew just because of the worry be had over Jimin. He allowed Jungkook to drive as he sat down right at the passenger's seat before setting the address into his GPS.

"Jimin... You're scaring me... You need help right after this, okay?" Jungkook proposed and normally Jimin would refuse, however... He did recall when Jimin did tell him he would do anything for their relationship or whatever they stood by. This was something Jungkook hoped for between the two. Even when he believed that he himself wasn't any better, Jimin just needed help because the man wasn't safe from his own self and thoughts.

"I.. Scare you, my prince?" Jimin whispered as he set his phone against the dashboard while he leaned back and adjusted his shades over his eyes. "That's funny... I thought you loved me?" Jimin asked as he let out a plain chuckle. But he only hid the fact that he knew something was wrong with him.

"If I didn't love you, I'd allow you to hurt yourself even more. But I won't. I love you... I can't have you go out there and pretend Sehiro is still alive." Jungkook continued and when he pulled up by a stop sign, he felt Jimin drop his hand over Jungkook's as the younger let out an exhale. "Please... You said you would do this for me..."

"Fine. But I'll do it for you and myself; Maybe for our future? Baby?" Jimin asked as Jungkook only kept silent. Jungkook knew there was a boulder on the road up ahead and refained from kicking it. Knowing he couldn't move it off on his own, he sat there in silence; feeling like silence suited him the best. Now, Jimin understood why Jungkook didn't wish to speak at all for any of this. He believed Jimin would never love a 'mute' and ever give him a chance, but love took it's turn and Jungkook ended up falling for Jimin after their first kiss together.

Eventually, they reached the funeral home where everyone took their turn viewing and saying their farewells to Sehiro. Everyone from the station was there too, holding the pain in their hearts for turning against him when he was innocent from the start. Jungkook found a place to park after a good while searching for a spot while Jimin had his head pointed towards the funeral home. This left Jimin to slowly grip onto Jungkook's hand he still held while Jungkook took a moment to gaze at his lover slowly tremble from the unusual fear that came over him once more.

Jimin took minutes to finally find the strength in him to walk forward and leave his car with Jungkook by his side as support. He had on dark shades to cover his eyes while Jungkook just stood by his side and hugged his arm close. The two walked into the funeral home as a couple, no longer hiding their love as Jungkook sunk back into character, silencing himself as he walked in with Jimin. Once they stepped in, soft and sad piano music played in the background while people were sniffing silently to themselves.

Jungkook took a good look around as he turned his head to see a familiar face by the piano. It was someone who worked at the funeral home, a pale and short man with black silk hair wore a black suit as he played on the piano with his eyes closed. Due to the way Jungkook looked at the familiar man, he smiled and recognized the small and faded scar along the side of his cheek. Yet, he was still handsome even with a small scar denting his smooth and pale cheek.

The young prince then pointed his attention over to the coffin up ahead while Jimin stopped walking to see Mrs. Riyu, pressing her gloomy head against the casket and having her eyes closed while she sat on a seat close to the casket of her husband. She wore all black as her hands were covered with white silk gloves. This alone left Jimin to let out an exhale and hold Jungkook closer while he moved him into his arms to hug; not being able to look at Sehiro in his coffin.

Only then, Jungkook felt the true and harsh feeling of the consequences of everything he did. Every single person in the room was hurt due to the fault in his gang's actions. Jungkook just felt like someone as disgusting as him didn't believe he should be present at the funeral, along with the pale pianist serenading the sad people so innocently.
