Chapter 3

The soft glow of the bedside lamp filled the room with warmth, casting gentle shadows that danced across the walls.

As Haoyu moved about the room, a quiet anticipation hung in the air. He felt the familiar flutter of excitement in his stomach. Tonight, they had the space to reconnect, to explore each other without the interruptions of daily life. He turned to see Xiaocheng leaning against the doorframe, his expression a mixture of desire and affection that sent warmth coursing through Haoyu’s veins.

“Come here,” Xiaocheng murmured, his voice low and inviting. Haoyu’s heart raced at the sound. He stepped forward, feeling the magnetic pull between them. Xiaocheng took a step closer, closing the distance, his hands reaching out to cradle Haoyu’s face.

The moment their lips met, a spark ignited between them. It was a soft kiss at first, gentle and exploratory, a tender reunion after days of feeling disconnected. Haoyu melted against him, his body responding instinctively as Xiaocheng deepened the kiss, his tongue brushing against Haoyu’s lips, coaxing him to open up.

Haoyu complied, his hands finding their way to Xiaocheng’s hair, tangling in the soft strands as he pulled him closer. The kiss grew fervent, filled with a passion that had been simmering beneath the surface for far too long. Haoyu could feel Xiaocheng’s desire pressing against him, a delicious reminder of the heat that had been building since the moment they had locked eyes.

With a low growl of longing, Xiaocheng pulled away, his breath mingling with Haoyu’s. “God, I’ve missed this,” he whispered, his eyes dark with desire. Haoyu could feel the heat radiating off Xiaocheng’s body, a tangible energy that enveloped them both. “You have no idea how much.”

Haoyu’s heart raced as he met Xiaocheng’s gaze, feeling the intensity of his love reflected back at him. “I think I have some idea,” he replied, a teasing smile on his lips. The air crackled with anticipation, and Haoyu could sense the hunger that lay beneath Xiaocheng’s playful banter.

Without breaking eye contact, Xiaocheng leaned in again, capturing Haoyu’s lips in another kiss. This time, it was desperate and urgent, filled with the heat of their unspoken desires. Haoyu responded in kind, his hands roaming down Xiaocheng’s back, feeling the hard muscles beneath his shirt. He traced the contours of Xiaocheng’s body, savoring every touch, every brush of skin against skin.

With a sudden burst of boldness, Xiaocheng pulled away, his breathing ragged. “Let’s take this to the bed,” he said, his voice husky with need. Haoyu nodded, feeling a thrill of excitement as they moved together, their hands finding each other in the dim light.

Once in the bedroom, Xiaocheng turned to face Haoyu, his eyes darkened with desire. “I want you to know how much I love you,” he said, his voice deep and sincere. “Tonight is just for us.”

Haoyu’s heart swelled at the words. He felt cherished and adored, and that sentiment only intensified as Xiaocheng began to undress him, his fingers deftly unbuttoning Haoyu’s shirt one by one. Each button released a rush of cool air against his skin, heightening his senses. When Xiaocheng finally pushed the fabric aside, Haoyu shivered, the heat of Xiaocheng’s gaze igniting every nerve ending in his body.

“God, you’re beautiful,” Xiaocheng breathed, taking a moment to admire Haoyu. He traced his fingers along Haoyu’s collarbone, down his chest, and across his abdomen, leaving a trail of fire in their wake. Haoyu leaned into the touch, feeling himself grow harder under Xiaocheng’s ministrations.

Xiaocheng’s hands moved lower, fingers skimming the waistband of Haoyu’s pants. “Can I?” he asked, looking up for permission. Haoyu could only nod, his voice lost in the overwhelming sensation of desire.

With deliberate slowness, Xiaocheng undid the button and zipper, letting Haoyu’s pants slide down his hips. He knelt before Haoyu, his eyes locked onto Haoyu’s as he pulled the fabric away, revealing the evidence of Haoyu’s arousal. Haoyu’s breath hitched, anticipation flooding him as he felt the heat radiating from Xiaosheng.

“Just look at you,” Xiaocheng murmured, his voice low and rough. He leaned closer, his breath warm against Haoyu’s skin as he wrapped his hand around him, stroking him gently. Haoyu gasped, his head falling back as pleasure surged through him, his hands finding their way to Xiaocheng’s hair.

“Chenchen…” he breathed, losing himself in the sensation, the heat building within him as Xiaocheng worked his magic. With every stroke, every flick of his tongue, Xiaocheng drew Haoyu closer to the edge, the world around them fading into blissful oblivion.

But just as Haoyu felt he was about to lose himself completely, Xiaocheng pulled away, a teasing smile on his lips. “Not yet,” he said, his voice filled with playful mischief.

Haoyu’s heart raced at the look in Xiaocheng’s eyes, a mix of lust and love that made him feel cherished and desired. “You’re insufferable,” he said, laughter mingling with his desire.

“Only for you,” Xiaocheng replied, his voice softening as he stood, their bodies almost touching. He kissed Haoyu deeply again, the taste of their shared passion igniting a fire between them. Haoyu’s hands roamed over Xiaocheng’s body, feeling the hard planes of his chest, the strength in his arms.

“Let’s take our time,” Xiaocheng whispered against Haoyu’s lips, pulling him closer as they made their way to the bed. The moment their bodies hit the soft mattress, Haoyu felt a thrill run through him.

Xiaocheng positioned himself above Haoyu, their eyes locked, each man reflecting the longing they felt. “I want to feel you,” Xiaocheng murmured, his voice thick with desire.

Haoyu nodded, his heart pounding in his chest. “I want that too,” he replied, feeling the warmth pooling in his belly.

Xiaocheng kissed him fiercely, their bodies fitting together like two pieces of a puzzle. As they moved together, the rhythm of their passion began to build, each thrust echoing the unbreakable bond they shared.

Haoyu’s breaths came in gasps as pleasure surged through him, each movement pushing him closer to the edge. He wrapped his legs around Xiaocheng, pulling him deeper, urging him on as the world around them faded away, leaving only the two of them in their private paradise.

“Haoyu,” Xiaocheng breathed, his voice filled with awe. “You feel incredible.”

“So do you,” Haoyu replied, his voice trembling as they continued to move together, the heat of their bodies merging in a dance as old as time itself.

As they reached the peak of their desire, the connection between them deepened, transcending the physical. With each trust, with every gasp of pleasure, Haoyu felt his heart swell with love for Xiaocheng. This was more than just a physical connection. It was a reaffirmation of everything they had built together; their family, their love, their life.

“Together”, Xiaocheng murmured, his eyes locked onto Haoyu's. “Always together”

With one final thrust, they tumbled over the edge, the world exploding into a kaleidoscope of colors, as they surrendered to the wave of ecstasy that washed over them. Haoyu cried out, the sound echoing in the stillness of the night, as he lost himself in the intensity of their connection.

As they lay entwined in the aftermath, their bodies still humming with the remnants of pleasure, Haoyu nestled against Xiancheng's chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath his ear. He closed his eyes, letting the warmth of their shared moment envelop him, a sweet reminder of the love that bound them together.

Xiaocheng brushed his fingers through Haoyu's hair, his touch tender and soothing. “I love you, yuyu”, he said softly, his voice filled with sincerity. Haoyu smiled, his heart full. “I love you too, Chenchen. Always!”

And in that quiet moment, wrapped in each other's arms, they  knew that their love was a fire that would continue to burn brightly through the challenges of life, illuminating the path they walked together.

The soft light of dawn filtered through the sheer curtains, casting a gentle glow across the bedroom. Haoyu stirred, blinking against the golden rays that warmed his skin. He felt a comforting weight against his side, and a content smile crept onto his lips as he turned to see Xiaocheng sleeping peacefully next to him.

Xiaocheng’s hair was tousled, a few strands falling across his forehead, and his lips were slightly parted in serene slumber. Haoyu reached out, brushing his fingers lightly along Xiaocheng’s jawline, feeling the warmth of his skin beneath his fingertips. A wave of affection washed over him, and he couldn’t help but lean in closer, pressing a gentle kiss to Xiaocheng’s temple.

“Good morning, love,” he whispered, his voice husky from sleep.

Xiaocheng stirred, his eyelids fluttering open as he blinked against the morning light. A sleepy smile spread across his face as he turned to face Haoyu. “Good Morning baby” he replied, his voice low and warm.

Haoyu’s heart swelled at the sight of Xiaocheng’s smile, the kind that lit up his entire face. “How do you feel?” he asked, genuinely curious.

Xiaocheng stretched, his muscles flexing and releasing as he let out a satisfied sigh. “Better than I have in a long time,” he admitted, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “Last night was… incredible.”

Haoyu chuckled, his cheeks warming at the memory of their passionate night together. “It was,” he agreed, leaning in for another soft kiss, savoring the sweetness of the moment.

As they pulled away, Haoyu’s smile faded slightly, a wave of tenderness washing over him. “I’m glad we could reconnect like that,” he said softly. “I’ve missed you so much.”

Xiaocheng’s expression turned serious, and he propped himself up on one elbow, his gaze intense. “I’ve missed you too. With everything going on, I didn’t realize how much we needed that.”

Haoyu nodded, the weight of unspoken worries settling between them. “It’s easy to get lost in the chaos of our lives,” he said, his voice tinged with a hint of sadness. “But moments like last night remind me of what we have.”

Xiaocheng reached out, tucking a loose strand of hair behind Haoyu’s ear, his touch gentle and loving. “We’ll always find our way back to each other, no matter what,” he promised, his eyes never leaving Haoyu’s.

Haoyu felt a rush of emotion at the sincerity in Xiaocheng’s words. “I believe that,” he said, his voice thick with gratitude. “You’re my anchor, Xiaocheng. I don’t know what I would do without you.”

Xiaocheng’s expression softened, and he leaned in closer, pressing his forehead against Haoyu’s. “You’ll never have to find out,” he murmured. “We’re in this together.”

As they held each other in that intimate embrace, the world outside faded away, leaving only the two of them wrapped in their love. Haoyu felt a sense of peace settle over him, grounding him in the moment.

Eventually, the realities of the day began to tug at the edges of their cocoon. Xiaocheng pulled back slightly, his gaze playful. “So, what’s the plan for today? More cuddling, or are we venturing into the real world?”

Haoyu chuckled, the lightness of their banter easing the tension that had built over the past few weeks. “A little bit of both, I think,” he replied. “The kids will be up soon, and I want to make them breakfast before we do anything.”

Xiaocheng grinned, his eyes brightening at the mention of their children. “Pancakes? They love your pancakes,” he said, his excitement infectious.

“Of course, pancakes it is,” Haoyu agreed, feeling his heart swell at the thought of their family together. “I’ll whip up a batch, and we can all enjoy breakfast together.”

“Perfect,” Xiaocheng said, sitting up and stretching again, the movement revealing the toned muscles of his back. Haoyu admired the sight, feeling a warm rush of affection and desire all over again.

“While you’re at it, I’ll make sure the kids stay out of trouble,” Xiaocheng added, throwing the sheets aside and swinging his legs over the edge of the bed.

Haoyu couldn’t help but smile as he watched Xiaocheng, his heart full of love for the man who was not only his husband but also his partner in parenting. “You’re the best,” he said, following suit and getting out of bed.

As they made their way to the kitchen, the sound of laughter drifted in from the children’s room. Haoyu’s heart swelled as he thought of Lu Haofei, Lu Xiaoyu, and Lu Xiaohu, their playful energy always bringing joy to their home.

“Let’s see what kind of trouble they’re getting into,” Xiaocheng said, leading the way with a grin.

Haoyu followed, his heart light with anticipation. As they entered the kitchen, they were greeted by the sight of their three children sitting at the table, drawing pictures with crayons scattered all around them. Lu Haofei, with his bright smile, was animatedly explaining something to his younger siblings, who giggled at his every word.

“Good morning, my little artists!” Haoyu called out, his voice filled with warmth.

“Good morning, Papa!” Lu Haofei shouted, his face lighting up at the sight of his parents.

“Look, look!” Lu Xiaoyu exclaimed, holding up her drawing for Haoyu to see. “I made a picture of us as superheroes!”

Haoyu’s heart melted at the sight of her colorful creation. “Wow, it’s amazing, yu'er! You’re a wonderful artist,” he praised, and Lu Xiaohu clapped his hands in excitement.

“Can we have pancakes for breakfast?” Lu Haofei chimed in, his eyes shining with eagerness.

“Of course!” Haoyu replied, already moving to gather the ingredients. “Just a few minutes, and they’ll be ready.”

Xiaocheng joined in, helping to set the table while also stealing playful kisses from Haoyu as they moved about the kitchen together. The energy of their family filled the space with joy and laughter, the warmth of the previous night lingering in their hearts.

As Haoyu mixed the batter, he glanced over at Xiaocheng, who was sharing silly jokes with the kids. Their laughter echoed around the kitchen, filling it with a sense of belonging and love. Haoyu felt a wave of gratitude wash over him as he realized how lucky he was to have such a beautiful family.

“Okay, pancakes are on the way!” Haoyu announced, pouring the batter onto the hot griddle. The delicious smell wafted through the air, and the kids eagerly leaned closer, their excitement palpable.

As the pancakes sizzled, Xiaocheng joined Haoyu at the stove, wrapping his arms around his waist and resting his chin on Haoyu’s shoulder. “I love mornings like this,” he murmured, his breath warm against Haoyu’s ear.

“Me too,” Haoyu replied, leaning back into Xiacheng’s embrace. “There’s something so comforting about it.”

Xiaocheng squeezed him gently, their bodies fitting together perfectly. “We’re a good team,” he said, his voice filled with sincerity.

Haoyu turned his head slightly, meeting Xiaocheng’s gaze. “We are,” he agreed, feeling the bond they shared grow even stronger in that moment.

As the pancakes cooked, they exchanged soft kisses and playful banter, their hearts full of love and gratitude. In that cozy kitchen, surrounded by laughter and warmth, they knew they were exactly where they belonged—together, as a family.

The aroma of freshly made pancakes filled the air, mingling with the sound of laughter as the family gathered around the breakfast table. After devouring the fluffy stacks topped with syrup and fruit, the children buzzed with energy, eager to play.

“Can we go to the pool, Papa?” Lu Haofei pleaded, his eyes sparkling with excitement. “It’s such a nice day!”

Haoyu exchanged a glance with Xiaocheng, who smiled and nodded. “Sounds like a plan! Let’s make a splash!”

The children cheered, their giggles echoing through the house as they dashed toward the back door. Haoyu and Xiaocheng followed, sharing a knowing smile at the infectious enthusiasm of their kids.

As they stepped outside, the sun bathed the backyard in a warm glow. The pool shimmered invitingly, surrounded by colorful inflatable floats and beach toys scattered across the deck. Haoyu took a moment to appreciate the scene—his family was everything he had ever dreamed of, and the love that filled their lives was palpable.

“First one to the pool is a rotten egg!” Lu Xiaohu shouted, taking off in a sprint, his tiny legs moving as fast as they could.

“Hey, wait for me!” Lu Xiaoyu squealed, racing after her brother.

“Come on, slowpokes!” Lu Haofei called out to his parents, already diving into the pool with a triumphant splash.

“Alright, let’s see what you’ve got!” Xiaocheng laughed, joining their children in the water. He jumped in after Lu Haofei, causing another wave of water to splash everywhere.

Haoyu watched with a heart full of joy as Xiaocheng engaged in a playful splashing match with their kids. He couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight—the sheer delight on their faces was infectious. He grabbed a towel and settled in a sun lounger nearby, ready to soak up the sun and the happiness around him.

“Papa, come join us!” Lu Xiaoyu called, her voice full of excitement as she floated on a bright pink flamingo float.

Haoyu shook his head playfully. “I think I’ll just watch for now. I need to keep an eye on all of you so nobody drowns!”

“Come on, Haoyu! You can’t just sit there!” Xiaocheng urged, splashing water toward Haoyu, playfully drenching him.

“Alright, alright! You’ve convinced me,” Haoyu laughed, tossing aside the towel. He stepped toward the pool, feeling the cool water beckoning him.

As he entered the pool, he was immediately met with the shrieks of laughter from his children. “Papa, Daddy! Come and catch us!” Lu Haofei yelled, darting away from Xiaocheng and diving beneath the water.

Haoyu swam toward them, determined to keep up with their antics. “You can’t escape me!” he called out, his competitive spirit igniting.

With a burst of energy, Haoyu dove under the water, his body gliding effortlessly as he sought out his children. He resurfaced next to Lu Xiaohu, who giggled and splashed water at him. “I’m going to get you!” Haoyu exclaimed, playfully chasing him around the pool.

Xiaocheng, watching from the edge, couldn’t help but smile at the sight. The love and joy radiating from Haoyu were undeniable, and it filled him with warmth. He admired how effortlessly Haoyu engaged with their children, making every moment special.

“Alright, everyone! Time for a game!” Xiaocheng announced, clapping his hands to gather the kids’ attention. “How about a race? Who can swim to the other side first?”

“Me! Me! I can do it!” Lu Xiaoyu shouted, her competitive nature shining through.

“On your marks, get set, go!” Xiaocheng called out, and the children took off, splashing water everywhere as they raced across the pool.

Haoyu joined in, swimming alongside them, determined to win. He could hear the cheers and encouragement from Xiaocheng, who stood at the edge, clapping and whistling for everyone. The air was filled with laughter, creating an atmosphere of pure joy.

As they reached the other side, the kids climbed out, panting and laughing, while Haoyu took a moment to catch his breath, leaning against the pool wall. Xiaocheng stepped forward, a playful smirk on his face. “I think I might have to declare a rematch after you catch your breath.”

“Not a chance!” Haoyu replied with a grin, shaking his head playfully. “I’m still the reigning champion in this household!”

“Oh, really? Is that so?” Xiaocheng teased, stepping into the pool. “Let’s see if you can back that up!”

With that, Xiaocheng dove in, creating a wave of water that splashed over Haoyu. They began to playfully splash each other, laughter ringing out as they engaged in a friendly water fight. The kids joined in, giggling as they splashed their parents, turning the backyard into a playground of fun and laughter.

“Tag! You’re it!” Lu Haofei shouted, swimming away as Xiaocheng chased after him.

“Yuyu, help me catch him!” Xiaocheng laughed, a playful glint in his eye.

“On it!” Haoyu said, taking off after Lu Haofei as well.

The water glistened around them, and for a moment, all worries faded away. Their laughter echoed, filling the air with happiness as they spent the afternoon splashing and playing, creating memories they would cherish forever.

After a while, they all floated on their backs, staring up at the blue sky, content and relaxed. The warmth of the sun enveloped them, and for a brief moment, they floated together in a serene silence, allowing the world to fade away.

“Do you remember when we first got this pool?” Haoyu asked, breaking the quiet with a soft smile.

Xiaocheng chuckled, turning to look at him. “Of course! You were so determined to have it, you practically begged me every day.”

“Hey, I just knew how much fun we could have as a family,” Haoyu replied, playfully defensive.

“And you were right,” Xiaocheng said, his gaze warm. “I love seeing the kids have such a great time.”

“I love seeing you happy,” Haoyu confessed, his heart swelling with affection.

Xiaocheng turned to face him, his expression serious for a moment. “You know, this is what it’s all about for me. Moments like this—just being together, making memories.”

Haoyu nodded, feeling a rush of gratitude. “I couldn’t agree more. I love our family, and I love you.”

As they locked eyes, the weight of unspoken feelings lingered between them. In that tranquil moment, surrounded by their children and the warmth of the sun, Haoyu felt a sense of peace wash over him, reaffirming the bond they shared.

“Alright, time to bring out the big guns!” Xiaocheng suddenly exclaimed, breaking the moment. “How about a diving contest?”

“Diving contest?” Haoyu laughed, raising an eyebrow. “Are you sure you’re ready for that?”

“Bring it on!” Xiaocheng challenged, a competitive gleam in his eyes.

They all climbed out of the pool, and Xiaocheng started demonstrating his diving skills, gracefully jumping off the side and slicing through the water. Lu Haofei and Lu Xiaohu cheered him on, while Lu Xiaoyu clapped excitedly.

“Your turn, love!” Xiaocheng called out, encouraging him to show off his skills.

With a playful grin, Haoyu climbed onto the edge of the pool and took a deep breath, launching himself into the air before diving in headfirst. The splash created a wave of water that soaked Xiaocheng and the kids, who erupted into laughter.

“Nice one, Papa!” Lu Haofei cheered.

Haoyu surfaced, shaking water from his hair and laughing. “Did I win?”

“Only if you can beat me in a race back to the other side!” Xiaocheng challenged, a competitive spark igniting in his eyes.

“Game on!” Haoyu replied, and with that, they raced across the pool again, laughter and shouts filling the air as the sun continued to shine down, warming their hearts and souls.

As the afternoon wore on, they played games, raced, and enjoyed every moment together. The worries of the outside world felt miles away, and in the sanctuary of their backyard, surrounded by laughter and love, Haoyu felt incredibly grateful for this life they had built together.

Eventually, as the sun began to set, casting a warm golden hue over everything, they reluctantly climbed out of the pool, dripping wet and exhilarated.

“That was so much fun!” Lu Xiaohu exclaimed, shaking his head like a dog, sending water flying everywhere.

“Let’s do it again in weekend!” Lu Xiaoyu suggested, her face lit up with joy.

“Absolutely!” Xiaocheng agreed, wrapping his arms around Haoyu’s waist, pulling him close. “But first, let’s have some snacks and dry off.”

As they settled into the cozy evening, their hearts were full, and Haoyu knew that moments like this were what made their family truly special. The connection between them—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—was stronger than ever, and he felt grateful for every day they had together.
