"My parents just finished their balcony from the remodeling. Do you wanna see?"

 "You finally had that done? Well-" "I mean, come on Travis, you're one of the few that's on my VIP list, and the only one invited by me personally" Angelica holds my hands. 

"....Fine, five minutes" I huff out. "You sure you have more than five?" she winks. "Just playin' with ya, I like seeing mi guapo (my handsome) blush" she giggles, pinching my cheeks, leading me upstairs to the balcony, I was one of the first few to arrive to the party early, so not many people saw me. We make it to the door, and I open it, revealing the white balcony. "Man, this is real nice Angie!" I look around. 

"I know right?! Oh, I'll be right back, I forgot to tell my brother something" 

"Alright then" I say, as she smiles and skips out, closing the door. I sat in one of the laid back patio chairs, as the music faded in, I heard more cars pull up too. My phone vibrated, so I checked it out.

Immediately, her number and photo popped up on the screen.

"Hey, wassup" I say, the phone to my ear "I'm just a bit lonely that's all, I'm just at the cafe on campus" she says. "At this time of night?" I ask, "Well they close later tonight" 

 "So where are you conejo?" 

 "I'm at home" I lie. 

I didn't want her to know I was at a party, I got a mouthful from her and Valeria last time. The parties I usually go at have....illegal stuff so that's the reason why they are worried about me-drinking smoking any weed. I'm supposed to stay sober. I just didn't want anyone to worry about me, especially Diane, she almost had a panic attack when I went to the hospital from overdose. So far  I only had like one drink.  Just one, that's all. I could hear Angelica from the other side of the door, saying hey to some people. "It's so noisy where you are!"

 "That's probably the TV you're hearing" "Oh, well I really wish I could've came there but I'm probably planning on going on some trip to South America- it's a class trip" I opened my mouth to say something else, but my phone was grabbed from my hand, "Hey! Give it back!" I reach for my phone. "Fine, but no one can know you're up here anyway, this was supposed to be a secret!" she gives me my phone back,  it was hung up. The screen was back on it's homepage. "Don't worry that was my girlfriend who was on there"

 "As long as it was not spilled. Besides, we haven't even got to see the best part yet" "What part?"

The drink was getting to me already. I only had one, yet it feels like I had four or more. Angie pressed her lips against mine, I pull back, "Angie I'm with someone you already know that" "Travis I need to tell you this, I don't like hiding things from you but," she kisses me again. 

"I really like you- I think I had a drink too much but I know that my feelings for you are real"

For my international readers, Thanksgiving is an American holiday that's celebrated over here in the fall. It's a day to be thankful and grateful for the things you have, giving thanks and being wholesome! It basically began in the 1600s between a Native American Tribe and some pilgrims, and the Native Americans helped them with growing food and stuff. So that fall to celebrate giving thanks and wholesome vibes and friendship, they made a huge feast- that's Thanksgiving. 

 We celebrate this by having a huge feast what we call Thanksgiving dinner, it varies by each family of what the dinner is. But the most famous star is the turkey! Some people stuff it with veggies and stuff, some people have a ham with it. The most famous and popular dinner items are: Turkey, dressing and giblet gravy, mashed potatoes, jellied cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie sweet potato pie, apple pie, pecan pie, potato salad, the somewhat questionable green bean casserole (many people love it and many hate it) and more! Just about every family has their own signature dishes! 

There's also a game of football that plays on Thanksgiving, and the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade to watch!
