A Sorrow Deep and Scornful

Glory's Perspective

Glory's eyes flew opened as fast as lightning, striking the ground in a winter storm.

It had happened before she even knew what was happening. A deep feeling of rage suddenly washed over her, taking over her scales, her mind, her soul. It burned and came out in a rush of emotions. Instinctively, Glory took her emotions and tried to bury them. Not here, not now. She couldn't seem weak. She wouldn't seem weak. She wouldn't be the lazy, worthless RainWing everyone thought her to be. However, in this flood of anger? Avoiding this enragement was unthinkable.

One minute, one of her best friends was moving around, breathing, fighting along side Tsunami. The next? There he lay, a dead NightWing in the sunlight, rays of glow echoing off hollow scales.  Glory couldn't breathe. Instantly, her lazy RainWing act vanished.

She arose to the air, letting the breeze take hold of her large wings as her scales shifted to a merciless shade of crimson, deeper than blood. The thin chain about her neck snapped like a twig. Her talons reach out in front of as she kicked furiously with her back legs to accelerate herself from her marble branches. Now, Glory was ready and intent to kill. She was craving nothing more that revenge.

Glory spiraled downwards with a spirit of passion and violence, tumbling to the grounds, her shock of the situation giving her the strength to ignore the Pulsing pain erupting from her talons are she slammed to the sands. Every scale on the RainWing'd body was coating with a thick, furious red. She was at the side of StarFlight's limp and lifeless body in seconds. The guards in the background, however, were rather far from the RainWing, busy with putting away StarFlight's IceWing's killers. Glory was nearly completely alone on the sands. With thousands of eyes burning into her scales, a few feeling came over Glory. One other than the overtaking fury with still had possession on her.

This feeling was strange. A broken emptiness that intensified ever second more she huddled over StarFlight. His scales seemed so much colder. His eyes were so empty. And without even noticing it, her sorrow cause tears to flood out in a mess of emotion. STARFLIGHT...! Her mind cried, as her weak talons nudged at his hollowed form. Harder she tried, & although consciously Glory knew the truth, every bit in her couldn't accept it. StarFlight was her little brother, a little annoying sometimes but at the same time kind, all he wanted to do was study and learn history. And he was always shinning, always hopeful, StarFlight would never give up.

Right about this time, the SkyWing guards were starting to close in on the RainWing. Glory hissed in rage, clawing at anyone who got close. She was blinded in a fit of rage.
