° The Trip °
You and Noya were still avoiding each other. You didn't really know why this was still happening but you decided not to say anything.
It had been three weeks since Hinata's party and nothing had changed except the weather.
The sun was blazing outside, what a Summer day should truly be like. Today was the last day of the semester before the summer break and you hoped you could fix things up.
Groggily, you got out of bed and put your uniform on. You did your morning routine without a second thought. It was like muscle memory.
Once you entered the school building, you could tell that people were excited for the break. The bustling, the chatting, the sense of anticipation in the air. None of which you cared about, you just wanted to make amends.
Which was easier said than done.
"Noya!"
"Hey, Noya-"
"Over here!"
Every attempt you made to get his attention was quickly brushed off by the boy. He would walk the other way at the sight of you, even if he needed to be somewhere.
It was really getting you down.
Soon the day was over. People ran through the corridors like hooligans. You were being jolted all over the place by the people intent on getting out. (A/N- Is this just something that happens in Britain? Seriously, it's terrifying, especially for a social recluse like me.)
Suddenly, you felt the floor beneath you disappear. You were falling face first towards the tiles where your feet had been.
You closed your eyes, preparing for the impact.
But it never came.
Two arms wrapped around you, holding you up from the floor. You stood yourself up properly and turned around to show your saviour.
"Kei? You actually do love me?!" (Ha you thought. I'm so mean. MUHAHAHAHAHA!!!)
"Maybe a little."
"Wow, that's the most you have ever admitted it."
"Shut up. Well. Are you going to thank me for saving your life?"
"Thank you, Kei."
"You're welcome, shortie."
You sent your cousin a death glare. He still didn't understand 'respect your elders'.
The crowd had died down a bit so you headed for the door but someone called your name.
Damn, I'm popular today.
You turned around to see Sugawara coming towards you.
"Hey, Y/N. Since we're on break, Daichi and I have organised a beach trip for the team in a few weeks and since you are a good friend of the team's, we were hoping that you would be able to come. It'll be a three day trip."
"I would love to! Of course I'll have to get the green light off my parents. I'll text you their answer tonight."
"Great. Have a good Summer, Y/N."
"You too, Suga."
The sun was warm against your skin as you were walking the familiar route to your home.
That night you told your parents about the trip to the beach. They took a bit of convincing again but they trusted you. You text Sugawara and he was so happy that you could come.
Le time skip, brought to you by my lack of writing skill.
The day of the trip soon came around. Your bag was all packed and you were now waiting for Kei's mum who was taking you, Kei and Yamaguchi to the beach.
The car soon pulled up and you opened the boot to put your bag in there. You then opened the door to the back of the car. You saw Kei and Yamaguchi sitting in both of the window seats.
"Smallest in the middle." You cousin said with a smirk spread across his face.
"You did this to piss me off didn't you."
"Maybe."
"Well it worked."
You reluctantly sat in between the two first years. You hated the fact that they were both younger than you but had this advantage over you.
"Hey, Y/N, honey."
Kei's mother turned to face you. (A/N- I couldn't find the name of Tsukki's mum anywhere so I'm gonna call her Izumo. You know why? Because I can. Also, I love Blue Exorcist too much.)
"Hey, Auntie Izumo."
"How are you finding Karasuno?"
"I'm loving it, I've made a few friends, mostly the volleyball team."
"Well, if they can deal with my son, I can assume they're quite nice."
You laughed at what your auntie said. The journey was enjoyable. You caught up with your auntie as you hadn't seen in her in a while.
It wasn't too long to get to the beach and when you got there, you gazed at the sea. It was so beautiful.
"Have a good time!"
"Bye mum."
"See ya Auntie Izumo!"
"Goodbye Mrs Tsukishima."
The three of you got your bags out of the car and walked towards the cabin at the end of the cliff where Sugawara told you all to meet.
The third years were all waiting for you outside.
"Hi guys! It's just you guys at the minute, go into the living room, we'll sort rooms when everyone's here."
The three of you sat yourselves on the sofa and waited for the rest to arrive.
The first few to arrive were Ennoshita, Kinoshita and Narita followed by Hinata and Kageyama. You got off the sofa to greet them.
"Y/N!!!!!!!" Hinata squealed, jumping on top of you, knocking you over.
"Good to see you too Hinata." You said patting his back. "Can you get off me now?"
He quickly got off, you brushed yourself off as you got up. You looked over to the door to see Tanaka and Nishinoya arriving.
Nishinoya avoided you at all cost as Tanaka greeted you with a first bump.
You noticed that you were missing the two managers. You questioned Sugawara about this.
"Yachi is on holiday and Kiyoko's family is over."
"Ah okay." You just realised you were in an unknown place with a group of twelve boys. This could either go really well, or really badly.
"So, Suga, how did you find this place?" You asked.
"Well, it's my grandparents, they used run it as an inn kind of thing and they had no bookings for three days so they said that we could use it."
"That's ace!"
The rooms were allocated to everyone. Of course, you were in a room by yourself.
Once you got up there, you waited to see who was in the room next to you.
Soon, you saw Tanaka walking down the corridor with Noya behind him.
"Hey, Y/N!" Tanaka called. "I think we're neighbors."
"I think we may be too."
"Cool!"
You went into your room and unpacked. The room was spacious, clearly made for two.
Later that night, you and the boys sat down to watch a movie. You sat in between Suga and Ennoshita as you ate your popcorn.
Unbeknownst to you, all through the movie, Noya was glancing at you, wishing he could find the courage to talk to you.
It feels like it's been a while even though it was only six days. Hope you're all okay and staying safe and that you enjoyed this crappy chapter. I hope that my writing is better than I think it is but I don't think it is. I do love it though and you've got to practice to get better at something. Remember to stay safe, happy and hydrated!
