{Location: In the high mountains) (A strange girl's POV)[Time: 3 and a half years ago]

Something is touching me. It feels gentle and kind. My eyes flutter open. Mom smiles at me with the early morning sun shines in her magenta hair, "Honey," She pushes me a little, "Don't you have a few things worth waking up to?"

I stretch as I sit up, "Just five more minutes."  I fall back down on my pillow. I was up to midnight just on one stupid chemistry problem that was miswritten. The first year of college isn't as easy as media shows it, "Besides, it's the weekend."

Mom snickers as she pulls my warm sheets off, "Not quite. Happy Monday. I think that's an oxymoron but."

"Wait-" I snap up, my eyes wide to both her Momish beauty and the mess of my room, "It's Monday?"
"Yeah."  Mom backs up as I jump out of bed only to land on a gearhead, "That's what happens when time passes."

"I'm gonna be late for my study group."  I search my closet as my foot throbs from the pain. I pull out my jean shorts, a light blue and grey t-shirt with a small crescent moon necklace. I rush around as Mom heads downstairs to make breakfast. I end up with my shirt on backwards but I don't have time to fix it. I race downstairs only to trip on my normal tripping spot when I'm in a rush. I manage to land with few bruises. Mom readies a protein bar and a glass of milk for me.

She smiles as the light mountain air fills my lungs, "Slow down. You've got time."

I swallow down a very big bite, "I know. But I have to give my bestie back her engineering book."

"I'm sure that-"  Mom turns to clean up as Dad opens the front door.

He looks horrible. His suit is in a mess, the bags under his eyes are bigger than normal and his black hair looks frizzy. He walks over and grabs cold coffee, "Headache. Bad. Napping now. Bye."  He half walks upstairs as I keep eating.

I finish my food, grab my books, put on flip-flops and race out the door while screaming, "THANKS, MOM, LOVE YOU!"  I am forced to cut through gardens, jaywalk streets and cut off cars as I bolt over a hill. 

Then I run into someone. I crash down to the ground. I bite my lip too hard. What a morning. I get up, "I'm sorry. I'm in a bit of a rush-"

"Don't worry about it," A black haired, brown eyed, very bright colored neon girl smiles as she offers me a hand up, "I'm happy to run into you anytime. Mabey not so literally next time."

I giggle as I gather my things.  "Sorry, bestie. But-"  I facepalm, "Oh yeah, it's daylight savings. One hour back."

"It's fine," She smiles as we walk much more slowly, "So, are you up to date on-"

"The Ninja?"  I half roll my eyes. I don't know if they're going to be that popular. They certainly are cool but I don't know, "I know they're at the dark island now."

"I just want to be part of their group."  My bestie gets a dreamy look on her face, " especially to meet the Green Ninja. I bet he's amazing at everything."

"I don't know, I like them all."  To be honest, the only reason I pay attention is because the Black one looks cute. I think. I can only see his deep brown eyes. I feel my cheeks heat up as a smile pulls at my lips.

Then the sky gets super overcast. I look up to see a pure black streak crossing the sky. A few more follow but head to Ninjago City.

My Bestie whimpers, "What's that?"

"I don't know."  I push her inside the library then lock the glass doors. My Bestie starts breathing heavily. Oh perfect. I sigh as I look for a way to calm her down. I find a paper bag and pat her back as we sit looking outside. We wait for mabey an hour, she's still kinda losing it and I need to know what's going on.  "I'm gonna find the latter to the roof, I'll be right back."  I head to the stairwell, open the door then step onto the roof.

I can't believe my eyes. It's like the ground turned everywhere but here in the mountains. I look around, this seems to be the only sunny spot left in Ninjago. I look around, what is going on? I look up, mabey somethings up with the sun?

I don't see anything wrong with the sun but a four-headed dragon and a golden flying mech zoom across the sky. There must be some people riding the dragon as I hear someone in a deep, low to the ground voice shout, "Ok, boys. Let's make a plan to save Ninjago."

I squint and catch the colors of red, blue, white, green and black along with a few others. The people on the dragon cheer as they fly to Ninjago City.

Hm, they're willing to fly into the fire to save all of Ninjago. Mabey the Ninja are cooler than I thought. I keep watching as the low to the ground voice comes back, "Ok. Here's the plan."

Another smile tugs at my lips as I head back downstairs. I find my Bestie a little calmer and looking on her phone, "Check this out."  She shows me a video of a fight in Ninjago city. Then there are a burst of golden light and the phone dies.  "I hope the Ninja are ok."

"Are you kidding?"  I get a little giddy thinking about them now, "They flew in no problem. I bet they were all like POW and then BAM!"

"Hm," My bestie rubs her chin, "I thought you weren't as into the Ninja."

I roll my eyes, "Well, call me converted then."  All I needed was a little convincing. I bet they're the best heroes ever.

They can do anything.

And they can save anyone.

I'd like the Black one to save me any day that ends in y.

Go ahead and call me a fangirl.
