Haircut

{Location: The airjutzu temple}(Kai's POV){Time: Between Undeniable and Black & White}

"COME BACK HERE!" My life is so strange. I'm chasing the guy who possed one of my brothers with a pair of scissors. But his hair is a tangled disaster and as a proud member of all things concerning hair, it is my duty to fix that monstrosity. Now if Morro would only corporate. I burst outside the temple where the girls are doing some kind of meditation lesson with Sensei, "It's not gonna hurt you."

Morro runs right and half hides behind a stand for staffs, "No. My hair is fine. It was fine when I was a kid, it was fine when I was a ghost. It's fine now. Besides, I'd never let YOU near my head with a brush much less than a pair of scissors."

"Ah, come on. Just a little snip-snip," I try going around it, "The more you cooperate the faster I'll be."

He glares as he stays opposite of me, "Have you looked at your own hair? You look like a walking, talking, fire-spewing porcupine."

"You take that back," I brush my fingers against my awesome hair.

He makes a sour face as he looks for another way out, "Just because it takes you 15 minutes to do, doesn't make it cool."

"At least I don't look like a wet dog!"  That should show him. I fold my arms, being careful to not stab myself with the scissors.

Morro smirks as he backs up, "Ohh! Wet dog. Watch out, we have a burn master over here."  He turns and runs to the dorm room, "What are you going to say next? That fire is cooler than wind."

I glare as I chase him again, "No. But since you brought it up, it is."

"Fine," he aijutzus onto our roof as he puts his hands on his hips, "You're right as long as you accept that you're wrong."

"Why you little-"  I airjutzu after him while tucking the scissors in my belt. He waits until I land and takes off himself towards the main temple, "Hold still!"

"No thank you," He shows off by flying backward now, "Listen I can keep this going all day long so this is entirely-"  He slams into the wall, loses his focus and falls flat on his face. At least he was already close to the ground.

I flip off the roof and pin him to the ground while I can.  "Did ya think you were still in ghost mode?"

"Un-hun."  He nods as I sit on his lower back.

I spot Kit walking around the corner. I wave her over. She smiles as she helps me hold him down. Morro moans from the extra weight. I smirk as I pull my sissiors out, "Did you expect me to have back up?"

"Nn-hun."  He bearly tries escaping with Kit near such a sharp object.

"And I'm guessing that you still don't want your haircut?"

"Un-hun," Morro tries pushing up but fails, "Can you two get off me now? I'm not a jungle gym."

Kit giggles, "Sorry, with Willow and Lloyd gone, I've got to find something to entertain me."

I lower myself slowly as I pick up a lock of his hair in the back, "Let's work backward."

Morro starts struggling harder but Kit keeps his face planed against the ground, "Hey, Kit," I go slower as I want to see how he's going to squirm his way out of this one, "Get me out of here and I'll take you to visit Willow."

Kit looks tempted as she lightens the pressuer, "Right now?"

"Right now."

I glance at Kit, who looks incredibly interested in his offer. My turn, "Kit, I'll take you to see Willow and we'll swing by an ice cream shop."

Kit pearks at the sound of ice cream. Then she looks confused, "I thought you lost your punch card in your and Cole's bet."

"Umm."  I forgot I told her that.

Morro snickers as Kit takes her hands off his head, "Kit, I pinky promise-"

Kit gets up and runs off.

I frown as I pull my scissors back, "Wonder where she's heading in such a- OW!"

Sensei looks furious as he grabs my ear and pulls me off of Morro.  "She probably was running form me as I was coming to stop you two from fighting."

Morro gets up, half of his face covered in mud, "I did nothing, he started- OW!"

Sensei grabs his ear too as he pulls us into the main temple. He walks past the girls, up the stairs and into a room we're still fixing up. The old furniture is covered with cloth and dust. Sensei pushes me in first then Morro, he holds his arms behind him as he closes the door, "I don't care who started it, I'm ending it."  He folds his arms as Morro and I stand as far apart as possible, my arms folded and his behind his back, "Ever since Morro came back from the cursed realm, you have argued in any and all free time you have together. So, neither of you will leave this room until some differences are resolved."

I shrug my shoulders, "All I was trying to do is help him mantain his hair. He knows this."  I pat around for my scissors only to find them gone.

I look up to see the scissors dangling on Morro's index finger and a smirk a mile wide on his smug face. He spins it around now, "Missing something?"

"Hey!"  One, how'd he do that? Two, when did he do that? Third, how'd I miss that?  "How'd you do that?"

"Trade secret," He stops spinning it and puts his hands on his hips.

Sensei growl in the back of his throat.  "Trust would be a good place to start resolving issues."

Morro slumps slightly, "I.....possibly, mabey, might be a professinal pick pocket."

"You don't say," I get a nasty look from Sensei. I quickly roll my eyes, "Any less. By that I mean please oh please explain further."

"Did you think living on the streets was easy?"

"How hard can it be?"

Sensei takes a deep breath, "Fine. The only way you two are getting out of here is if you agree on something."

I lean against the wall and slide down, "We're gonna be here forever."  I open my medal arm flap and start playing one of the mini-game Cyrcus downloaded for me.

Morro huffs as he pulls out his phone and starts texting who I'm guessing is Katara,  "Tell about it. At least it's not getting up at the crack of dawn to get tea from the town."

I lower my arm, "Sensei did that to you too?"

"Yes," Morro lowers his phone, "Whenever I'd 'act' up before the serpentine war."  He gives a small upset look at Sensei, "I still don't understand how you expected me to not dress up in the green ninja outfit when it was out in the open."

I get up to my feet, "You did that too? I thought I was the only one."

"Was it in that tiny weird half nightstand, half dresser thing, still?"

"Oh yeah. I get that itself was just clothes but at least fancy it up a little. For crying out loud it looked like it was ready to fall apart."  It's about time someone else realized it. Everyone else I've talked to about this said something about needing humbleness or something.

Sensei relaxes, "That cabinet, was my father's. And that it has looked as good as it had for a long time is a sign of the good craftsmen ship."

"Ok, so it was an older model. That makes sense as to why it's out of style."  I have another bone to pick and now seems like the best time to do it, "But what makes no sense the whole limit on using our powers thing you put us through."

Morro folds his arms, "Wait, really?"  He snickers, "Wouldn't make more sense to use powers often to keep skills sharp?"

"Oh my gosh, why didn't I use that as a part of my argument?"  I start heading to the door as my stomach growls.

"I mean, I guess using powers for everything is a little overkill but when this place gets attacked every 3 weeks those skills have to stay intact."  Morro follows me and opens the door.

"Use it or lose it."

"Exactly."

Sensei clears his thought loudly, "Excuse me, where do you two think you're heading?"

I can't be too overconfident. I might be placed on solo babysitting duty of Kit after she found a candy stash, "We agree on something."

Morro heads out first and leans his head in the doorway, "That sometimes your punishments make little to no sence."

I wave as we get ready to run out of there, "So we're gonna go agree on something else. Bye!"

We snicker as he sighs deeply. He finds us a nice window to sneak out of as I can imagine some of the thoughts Sensei's having about us right now.

Surprisingly, Kit is waiting for us at the bottum. Her smile is bright, "I believed I was promised a trip to see my sister."

Morro picks her and puts her on his shoulders, "I did half pinky promise," he looks over at me, "I have this little monkey to take care of. Please don't chase me with scissors when I get back or ever again."

I hold out my metal fist for knuckles, "I make no promise on the forever bit. But the rest of the day you can be free."

"Deal," he knuckles me, grabs Kit's shoe with both hands, "Now, I know you've ridden Aquila but I'm guessing you've never done windsurfing."

Kit puts her elbows on his head as he walks slowly to the edge, "Nope. Can we ride a cloud?"

"I'll see what I can do."  Morro smiles faintly.

I put my hands on my hip, feeling my pair of scissors on my right hip. he gave them back....which is good considering I swiped them from Jay's collection of possible wedding items catalog that's on his bed. I look at them as I hear the guys pulling out the training gear. I should put them back before Jay thinks it's hiding under his sheets, waiting for him at night.
