"Um I guess we should put our names first" I said in a monotone voice.

Dawn just nodded her head.

Why can't I talk to her like a normal person? She must think I'm a weirdo.

We wrote our names on the page and began to think of how to get this done right.

"Well the debate is over wether animals should or shouldn't be held in captivity and I our side is the not so we should go to the library and research for facts and put that into a PowerPoint" Dawn suggested.

I nodded in agreement.

I looked at her glasses and her hair up. It was different from her usual clothing. She's the girliest girl I know!

"So lets go after school?" She asked. I nodded and she handed me her phone.

"Well put in your number" she smiled. I looked down at her phone and saw her wallpaper was the cover of the book series from the other day.

"You really into the series?" I asked.

She nodded with a huge smile.

"Who's your favorite character?" I asked trying to make conversation.

"Um the girl one duh" she laughed nervously.

"There's serval girl characters" I pointed out.

"Oh yeah but you know the one with the hair and eyes" she's very awkward.

Maybe I was the one ruining the conversation.

I stopped asking and put my phone number in. When I handed her the phone I watched her turn around and put a fist in the air and I could faintly hear her say score.

I'm probably wrong though.

"Dumb June! Hurry up and get it!" I yelled carrying her up.

"Shut up drew im not that heavy!" she yelled back.

She continued moving way too much.

"Grab the football already!" I yelled louder.

"Coach wanted the school colored one! All these are brown!" She roared knocking the brown footballs down.

"Aha! There it is" she finally picked up the right one but the sudden movement cause her to fall down.

Enough to where I also fell down and pushed over the door stopper shutting it.

"Great now we're locked in here!" I yelled rubbing my head.

"Thanks to you grass head!" My yelled punching my shoulder.

We both got up and swept off some dirt off.

May began banging on the door and screaming for help.

"Don't waste your breath June everyone else is in the gym can't hear from here" I explained.

She looked at me annoyed but suddenly she leaned back against the door and let her body slide down.

"I have to get out there Drew practice is important especially to help the team" May said while holding her head with her hands.

I sighed and sat next to her rubbing her shoulder.

"We'll get out" I said to comfort her. She lifted her head and looked back at me.

"Okay" she nodded and I helped her up.

"Now let's look around for anything we can use to help us out" we began to look when May began to talk again.

"Um drew I've been meaning to ask why did you start dating Brianna?" She asked nervously.

"I don't like her if that's what your getting at" I said with no emotion.

She looked at me confused.

"Then why date her?"

The door suddenly opened.

"There you guys are!" Molly, a girl on the basketball team, said.

May quickly rushed out leaving me in there with molly holding the door confused.

I have to tell her the truth.

Misty

"Hey mist you coming to the last football game?" I recognized that pigs voice anywhere.

I closed my locker and looked into Rudys eyes.

"Yeah but not for you the girls and I are going to support our friends" I said sternly.

"Woah so defensive" he pulled back his hair and I gagged.

"Are you done wasting my time Rudy?" I asked the rhetorical question before walking off.

"Rudy still wants ya huh?" Leaf said walking next to me. I nodded my head.

"I thought he would have stopped by now should have known he only gave up cause I was dating ash" I said rolling my eyes.

"Don't let him bother you too much we'll have fun tonight" leaf said giving me a quick hug before scurrying off to her own class.

Later that night we headed to the football game.

I looked at ash from the bleachers and I loved that look in his eyes.

So passionate about his game.

"I'm gonna be the best just watch I'll be a huge star one day from playing!"

I could still hear him say. His goofy child did.

"Yo Misty cheer me on!" I heard Rudy call out.

I rolled my eyes and all my friends giggled.

"Hey I'm the cheerleader I'll be doing that!" Serena called from below.

I looked down and she looked gorgeous in her cheer outfit.

Her hair even prettier up.

She held her Pom poms up and waved them and ash waved back.

"I'll always cheer you on!"

What a silly dream.

She's the one doing that now. Maybe in the end I was meant for Rudy.

The game was at its final minutes.

Tie.

The team looking like they were just about ready to give up.

"It's anyone's game now" Dawn said. She was anxious for Paul.

I nodded and I looked at the boys. Rudy seemed fine. It was ash I could tell. That look on his face.

The ash I know doesn't lose hope that easily.

I stood up and jumped down from the bleachers and leaned against the fence.

"Come on ash! You can do this I know you better then anyone you never give up you got this!" I called out.

It was dead silence and people stared at me making my cheeks heat up.

I hate moments like these.

I looked at Rudy and saw hurt in his eyes and I turned away about to walk back to my spot when.

"Thanks Misty I needed that!" My eyes widened and I turned back to look into ashs eyes.

He had that big goofy smile.

I smiled back and nodded.

They ended up wining.

Serena

After the game I began to start packing stuff into my athletics bag when I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turned to see a face I haven't seen in so long.

"Hey Serena" a huge smile grew on my face.

"Calem!" I jumped into his arms and hugged him tightly.

"I haven't seen you since grade school I had no idea where you went during the summer" I explained.

He scratched his face "well I sort of moved to kalos but I'm moving back here to kalos" he answered.

I nodded "so we're gonna have school together again!" I squealed.

He nodded and I grabbed his arm "come on we got a lot to catch up on"

"Bye girls!" I waved them off and began to walk towards my way home when a car pulled up next to me.

"Need a ride?" I looked at drew and sighed and got in.

"May um I never finished yesterday" drew began.

"Maybe I don't want to know" I looked out the window avoiding his eyes.

Drew then stopped the car.

"May listen the thing is I- Brianna she's liked me since we were children she's just use to getting everything she's wanted so her parents set up a marriage for us but I don't want to be with her and I don't know how to get out but I have to play along" he explained.

I looked at him with wide eyes.

"So maybe I'll just have to get use to things I don't think I can get out of this" he said in a sad voice. 

"Why are you telling me all this why does it matter to you so much if we're nothing for me to know" I said holding back my tears.

He looked away and I scoffed "just take me home" the rest of the drive was silent.

Finally we pulled up to my house and I got in ignoring my mom and dad even my little brother.

I just needed to get this out of my head.

I picked up my guitar and began singing.

That stupid rudy wouldn't stop leaving Misty alone.

"A date won't hurt right" Garry played with my hair and I rolled my hair.

"Well I don't have practice today" I giggled at his charming smile.

Later that night I got on my black dress and combed though my long dark hair leaving it down.

I took off my flats and balanced myself on the fence.

"Really?" I nodded and he hugged me.
