"Come on may get your mind off of it!" Dawn tried as she pulled my arm.

"But I can't I feel betrayed!" I yelled.

"Hm" I could tell my friends were trying. But I wasn't.

I looked at Serena and Misty but they were pretty lost too. I'm glad they made up and are both taking a break from the whole ash situation. We haven't talked about it.

Leaf also was taking a break at thinking about guys.

"Hey May you like basketball right?" Leaf asked. I nodded my head confused as to where she's going with this.

"Well It's try out season and I'm actually trying out to be in volley ball but I think you'd be great for basketball" she said as she handed me a flyer.

I examined it and then an idea popped in my head.

"Duh this is perfect!" My friends looked at me like I was crazy for shooting my body up.

Later that day I went to try outs and saw a lot of girls. They seemed way more athletic then me.

As I was doing some stretches I heard someone clear their throat.

Turning around I saw Brianna with her arms crossed.

"So your trying out too huh"

I narrowed my eyes at her. "Yeah and what of it" I stood not letting her tear me down.

"Hmph well good luck you'll need it!" She walked off and I found myself more nervous then before.

As I stood there looking down I could hear in my head my friends.

"No need to worry" dawns voice rang in my head.

Then I imagined drews face last and knew I wasn't about to give up.

I continued doing my stretches getting ready for the real stuff.

Finally the coaches lined us up to take turns and see how many scores we could make in 2 minutes.

I made 37.

Brianna came in close with 32.

Next we did a mini game splitting us into two teams.

Brianna was on the other team. Good I got to shove her a little and take the ball from here at several points in the game.

"Alright thank you all for coming tomorrow we'll have the results posted" the coach announced.

I finally let out a breath and rubbed some of the sweat off of me.

"Psh I bet they wouldn't even consider you as a team member" Brianna laughed at me but I didn't care.

She's getting old.

Dawn

"Ahah ha! You look so dumb!" Misty laughed at me.

I crossed my arms.

"Oh whatever! I don't think it looks that different" I said looking into the mirror.

"Why don't you just be yourself?" She asked.

I sighed "cause Paul doesn't like me for me" I answered. Misty shook her head.

"He just hasn't gotten to know you" she took of my fake glasses and put down my hair.

"Your perfect how you are"

I smiled at that.

I'm going to get Paul by being myself!

Ash

"I don't get it guys now either of them don't want anything to do with me" I said to the guys in the locker room.

"You're thinking way too much before practice" Paul said ignoring me completely.

I just punched his shoulder annoyed.

"Cause ash you're suppose to like one girl not two you know if you like both that means you like nobody and have you even ever got to really know either of them?" Garry said.

"Hm look who's talking" I said making Garry punch me now.

"What do you think drew" I asked.

He shrugged.

"I think we're all flawed when it comes to love" he explained.

I thought about those words. I needed to let go of me and Misty or Serena.

Maybe I needed to take a step back and look at myself.

Drew

"Come on drew I need to see if I made the team!" Brianna pulled me along to the athletics hall.

I didn't mean for it to get this far.

I didn't really like her but I had to pretend.

It's a long story.

"WHAT! I didn't make it how could this be possible!" She screeched.

I'm surprised my ears didn't start bleeding.

As I ignored her crying I looked on the list to see mays name. I smiled.

I wished I could tell her the truth.

"I made the team!" I cheered to my friends at our lunch table.

They all hugged me excited for me.

"What about you leaf!?" I asked.

"I made the volleyball team too!" She exclaimed and I hugged her as well.

"We should celebrate!" Serena clapped her hands together and we all nodded.

We decided to go to the pizza parlor but when we got there I hated to see drew and Brianna together.

She was talking really loud and he looked annoyed. That confused me.

Didn't he like her?

"Hmph ignore them may come on this is to us" leaf said pulling me away.

I followed suit and sat down. I couldn't really get it off my mind though.

Later on drew came over and a few steps behind him was Brianna with her arms crossed and cheeks puffed.

"Hey may um congratulations on making the team" he said sincerely.

It felt real.

I smiled warmly "thanks drew" with that he walked away.

Garry

I watched the girls practice from the gym window.

Really I was looking at leaf. Her long hair tied in a low pony tail. She's always gorgeous.

"Ah so now you want her" I turned and narrowed my eyes at red.

"What's it to ya" I said annoyed by him.

"You don't deserve her you're just a cheater leaf needs better and I'm that" he said staring at her now.

Red and I have always been rivals.

Since we were little. Even back then he wanted leaf.

"Come on leaf is my crush!" He yelled.

"Well she likes me" I laughed.

"But you don't even tell her you're always playing around with other girls!" He yelled.

I just stuck my tongue out "I'm too young to be tied down to one person we're only 13 we got our whole lives ahead of us" I said.

"I would treat her like she was the only one" he said.

"But she likes me" I said.

He narrowed his eyes "well if you're so sure about that don't stop wasting your time it won't be long before she sees how bad of a guy you are" he exclaimed pointing a finger at me.

After that I couldn't help thinning about it and I remembered old times with leaf.

"Garry come on let's go to the Park together!" Leaf pulled my arm.

"No can do I scored a date with the hottest chick in our middle school!" I exclaimed.

Leaf looked at me with sad eyes.

She walked off and I continued without a care.

"Garry my life is ruined I got asked out by gold of all people! I don't want to be mean but I'm not gonna say yes" I felt my chest pang at that.

"Well he's kinda cute but personality wise I'm not sure he seems stuck up maybe one date couldn't hurt" she trailed off.

"Hm I say f this guy and why don't we go out to a movie" I said just trying to ensure she wouldn't go out with this guy.

Her eyes sparkled "really gar bear!" She hugged on my arm and I snickered.

I could have her with no strings
attached.

"Gar bear really!" Leafs eyes sparkled as I handed her the bouquet.

"What can I say you are my leafy now" I whipped my hair back as she hugged me.

"I love being your leafy" she hugged me hard.

This was a weird feeling. To actually be dating a girl.

"But what about that leaf girl aren't y'all together?" Lyra played with my hair as we sat on the bleachers.

"Hm I could never be serious with her though" I replied wrapping an arm around her.

"Garry how could you do that!" Leaf never cried though she just seemed angry.

Though I acted like I didn't care.

After rethinking I could see how much I really had hurt her all these years. Maybe she did deserve better.

No she really does.

Misty

What a horrible predicament I was in. I was in between Serena and ash in class! Stupid assigned seating.

Serena and I for the most part didn't look at him.

After class we both quickly got up and headed out together when ash stopped us.

"Misty Serena can I talk to both of y'all?" He asked.

We both crossed our arms but let him continue.

"I'm trying to figure out who I am as a person and I'm sorry I hurt both of you guys and that was wrong I'm going to find myself first and for all I know I won't like either of y'all" he explained.

"Well good because right now ash we don't like you" Serena grabbed my hand we walked away.

I felt bad for ash but this distance was good for him.

Leaf

"Bye girls I'll see y'all tomorrow!" I waved them off as I made my path to my house.

I always lived father away.

As I walked I heard a voice.

I turned around to see red. I smiled at him as he caught up. We decided to be close friends as we weren't ready for a relationship.

Really I wasn't ready.

"How's your day going" he asked as we walked with a calm simple breeze.

"Good volleyball practice has me ways tired though" I laughed.

He also laughed and it was nice to have that.

Red is such a good guy but in my heart I think I'll always for some reason like Garry.

We heard footsteps and turned around to see Garry also walking close.

"Ah Garry you're walking this way too huh" red said. I wish he hadn't acknowledged him.

"Well Ima go running that'll boost my stamina up anyways!" I lied now running off.

Later that night after showering I got into my silk night gown that was light blue and had matching fluffy slippers.

Before I went to bed I stayed up combing through my still wet hair when I heard a voice.

I opened my bay window and looked down to see Garry.

"Garry it's the middle of the night what are you doing here?"

At that song I ran downstairs and through the door jumping into his arms.

He held me for a while and I needed it.

"Thank you Garry but I need my time for so many years I've loved you but I'm barely letting myself feel things I've never felt" I explained.

He nodded in understanding.

"Leaf take all your time this time I know my mistake I'll wait and even if you don't end up wanting me in the end I'll understand" he said.

I kissed his cheek and headed back inside.

Paul

In class I kept starring at her. Dawn. She's a cutie but every time she came around I felt a shield go up.

I acted like a complete idiot around her.

The around day she came in glasses and she was really cute.

More than usual.

Either way though I've never gotten to know her know her.

But I'd look dumb if I just came up to her.

"Alright class I'm going to put you into pairs for the following project that'll take weeks to prepare and if it's really good you could win to be apart of a big competition!" She explained.

Not one of these I always end up with Kenny the kid younger than us but smarter. He's always a snob and always gets partnered with Dawn. Pretty sure he has a crush on her.

No can do for me.

"Alright so Kenny you'll work with Barry and Dawn you'll work with Paul and-" I stopped listening after that.

I got to work with Dawn?!"

Drew

"So son how are things with Brianna?" My mom asked.

"Just fine" I answered bitterly.

"You've known drew that you two were set to be together you'll understand when you're older" she never looked me in eyes.

"But I'm in love with someone else" I clenched my fist and went into my room slamming my door.

Hoping things would change.
