Twenty-Three
[Sara's PoV]
The door opens again, and Levi walks out. He has the same expressionless face as always. "Stay away from my cadets," he warns the Garrison soldier, his tone stoic.
The man winces a little, backing away. He turns away and walks as if he's so much better than us all. I have a feeling no one in his squad likes him.
"You're okay?" Levi says, sounding more like an order than a question.
"Yes, I'll be fine."

After a couple days, me and Eren are walking around the base, talking. "So when Yuritami was executed... What made you have a panic attack or whatever that was?" he asks.
I flinch. "It's my parents..." I look away, trying not to cry. "When I was ten, the Military Police was doing a sweep of my town. There was an epidemic going through, and they were testing everyone. When they tested my mom and dad, they found a different virus that was lethal.
"They tested me, but I didn't have it. And so, right in front of me, I saw my parents killed. It was a similar way to Yuritami's execution, so it triggered that panic."
He hugs me from behind, and I jump a little. "I'm sorry you had to go through that," he says.
"It's fine. If I don't think about it, I'm okay," I respond, smiling up at him.
"So I guess we just shouldn't talk about it, right?" he says, returning the grin I gave him.
"Yep. That's pretty much it."
We're silent for a second. "So where did you live before the colossal Titan appeared?" he asks.
"Near the outside of Wall Rose. And now since you've pried about my past, I get to know about yours. Unless you don't want to share..."
"No, it's fine. I lived in one of the outer towns of Wall Maria. My mom was... Was eaten by a Titan, and my dad hasn't been seen since the attack." His voice chokes up a little when he talks about his mom.
"Wow, that sucks," I say, unwrapping his arms from around me and hugging him.
