Thirty
[Eren Jaeger's PoV]
I use my vertical maneuvering to fly up into a tree well out of the reach of the Titan. A few follow me, but most people go in different directions.
Hanji is the slowest of all, her face red with excitement.
Everything is silent for a second, and the Titan is standing in front of the thick tree. "Ymir..." it murmurs, its voice rough.
Mumbles break out among the regiment as the Titan falls back into silence.

[Sara's PoV]
Levi quickly wipes his eyes, sniffing almost inaudibly.
"I'm sorry..." I say quietly.
"Don't be. I don't need anyone's pity," he says, reverting to the cold person he was before.
Dang, Heichou... You're cold...
He mutters a swear as he feels his side. "D*mmit, that hurts," he growls.
"I'm pretty sure at least two of your ribs are broken. I'm not a professional, but I have legitimate medical experience. So don't try to go killing Titans too fast."
He groans a little, leaning back. "So we're alone for a week and we can't do anything... Truly sucks."
"Do you have any family you could visit?" I ask.
He shoots me a cold glare.
"Calm down, I didn't mean to offend you!" I hold my hands up defensively.
He stares straight ahead. "What about you?"
"N...No..." My parents died when I was eleven, I was an only child, and all my relatives have completely severed ties with me or died.
I close my eyes, trying to get to sleep in this uncomfortable chair. I succeed, though I wish I hadn't.
I was sitting in my room, reading a book about how the world would be without Titans. "What a crazy idea," I say, as I had accepted that Titans would always be here.
A solid knock on our door echoed through the house and up the stairs. I ran out of my open door, jumping down the flight of steps.
"Military Police!" a man's voice called.
"Coming!" my mother said, her fiery red hair cropped short. She walked calmly to the door, her green eyes showing no panic.
My father looked up from the table, his duller hair the same red-brown as mine. His deep brown eyes flickered towards me after glancing at the door.
My mother opened the door, and the two Military Police officers came in.
"Welcome," my mother said, smiling at them. "What is it?"
"We're doing a sweep to see who has the disease and who doesn't," the shorter one answered bluntly. He held out a syringe. "Pull up your sleeve."
My mother pulled up her sleeve, showing her pale skin.
The man pushed the needle in, but my mother didn't flinch. The taller of the two went to my father and did the same thing to him.
After testing their blood, they tested mine. "You both," the shorter one said, gesturing to my mother and father, "have a different disease."
