[Eren Jaeger's PoV]
Even Levi's upset, so the situation must've gone to h*ll. I close my eyes, leaning forward and resting my chin in my hands.

She mumbles something again, but I can't understand her at all.

I start thinking back to what she said in the courtroom. My parents were innocent. They didn't do anything. I did, but they didn't, she had yelled.

What did she do? Was she a criminal? That might explain the mask and why she had it when she saved us from Annie, but she would never commit a crime. Right?

I shock myself a little as a tear falls down my face. "D*mn, Jaeger, when's you become so sensitive?" I can almost imagine Sara saying.

"Please be okay..." I mumble, clasping my hands and resting my forehead on them. "Please..."

[Sara's PoV]
Eren is still crying, holding me close and repeating, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

"It's fine, just don't ever do it again," I say, feeling tears of my own well up.

"I won't. I'm sorry, I promise I won't do it again," he sobs, his shoulders shaking.

He's so fragile. How could he have ever beaten a single Titan? He seems like the most emotional person right now, as his cries wrack his body.

"It's okay, we'll always be here for you. You won't be alone," I assure him, trying to come off as someone who is strong.

He nuzzles his head into the crook of my neck, still crying as hard as before. "I'm sorry..." he says one last time, his voice weak.

"It's okay," I soothe, smoothing his soft brown hair back. I feel tears spill down my face.

He clings to me, sobs shaking both of us.

Sara was sleeping soundly, though she had some worry evident in her expression. "You're going to be fine," I say, standing.

I went back downstairs to eat, feeling more confident that she's okay for some reason.
