Twist
Becky's P-O-V
'Auuhh..right there Dean..' I moaned as his crafted fingers moved in circular motion applying exact pressure to the parts that made my body relax in heaven.
'Here?' he asked.
'Hmm..right there.. Ahhh.. That's right. Keep going Dean. You're doing great.' I said as his thumb did the perfect circular acupressure on the sole of my foot.
Presently, I was getting my favorite Saturday foot massage from my best friend Dean knew the exact way to relieve me off the neurological stress I took the whole week.
'Put your left leg on top now.' Dean said adjusting my position further as he pulled on my left leg over the right resting on his lap as we sat on the couch.
Dean took the new essential oil he got this month and took the just amount in his palms and rubbing his hands slightly allowing an uniformity of the oil over his fingers and palms.
'There, lay back if you want Becks.' he said before rubbing the oil smoothly over my foot. I felt him deep his fingers softly around the tendons expertly knowing which part needs attention. I leaned my back to the arm panel of the couch watching and feeling my best friend massaging my foot.
God! What has his hands got? It feels awesome.
'Mhm..' I whimpered as he traced his thumb on my needy muscles.
'You should open a massage parlor as a side business, you know?' I said impressed by his endeavors.
Dean chuckled continuing his work. 'Guess we should do it together then. I mean, you're an expert in head massage too.' he reminded.
I scoffed. 'Thanks but you must know that I'm not comfortable with massaging just any random person that passes by.' I said sharply.
Dean lifted his eyes at me with a frown still continuing to do his job. 'And you really think I'd feel privileged to rub anyone's feet at any place and any time for mere bucks?' he said in a tone of annoyance.
I but my lip and raised my eyebrows giving him a knowing smirk. 'Oh really Deano?' I asked crossing my legs on his lap and sitting a little more straight.
Dean looked up at me blank and then smiled. 'Okay fine. Just some massage for the hot ladies, may be.' she said shrugging slightly.
I gave him a look of disgust and kicked his hand that held my foot. 'You're disgusting!' I said and pulled my legs off his lap.
'But, I'm still your best friend Becks and you still love me.' he said scoffing.
'Ugh! I hate it when you're right.' I said giving him a bored look. 'You're twisted but you're mine.' I said pinching his cheeks hard with a wide smile.
'Aah.. That hurts.' Dean said rubbing the spot on his cheeks.
'That's supposed to.' I shrugged with a chuckle.
Dean rolled his eyes playfully muttering curses under his breath making me chuckle some more.
'Oh...Dean, you're such a cutie..' I pinched his cheeks hard.
'Ouch.. You're such a bitch..' he groaned throwing me a glare only to make me laugh again.
'That I am Dean. But, I'm still your best friend and you love me.' I pouted resting my head on his shoulder. He tried to shrug me off throwing a glare but I grabbed his arms tightly and gave him my best puppy dog eyes.
Dean sighed and finally wrapped his arm around me and pulled me closer to himself.
'You're right. You're twisted but you're mine.' he said surrendering.
'That's right. 'I giggled playing with the buttons of his shirt.
'Now, if you're fine with it, can we just schedule our highly anticipated cooking session tomorrow?' I asked looking up to meet his eyes.
Dean gave me a thoughtful look. 'Well, not a bad idea. I have a morning counseling session with Renee and I'm pretty much free after that.' he said with a smile.
'Wow! That's really cool.' I said really excited. 'Great, I'll get the things ready and we'll come just as you come back from the hospital.' I said picking my head up and sitting straight facing Dean with the biggest smile on my face.
'Deal.' Dean said holding his hand for me which I shook tightly.
*******
I yawned making my way to the bed. I'm really fortunate to get the Sunday off my schedule and I'm really very much excited for tomorrow.
I ran my lazy eyes through pages of social media posting silly pics and sharing some sense. As usual, I got attracted to the stupid vonvon games and chuckled at the outcome..
I tapped my fingers on my phone thinking if I should share it with Dean. But, then again, he might just laugh at my stupidity. But, before my mind could come to a conclusion, my finger did and sent it to Dean.
Shit! I hope he's asleep already. Who knows he might just take a screenshot and tease me of my silliness later..
I sighed closing my phone and tried closing my eyes but deep down inside, I was feeling a sort of anticipation. What if Dean isn't asleep and he just sees it and decides to reply! May be he would send a general laughing emoji or make a comment like Act upon your age Becks or may be he wouldn't do either and..
My phone beeped stopping the train of my thoughts. My heart jumped in expectation but it all ended when I read..
Randy: Hey Becky! Do you remember our little agreement?
I sighed. Of course, I promised Randy to help him with his Christmas decors.
Becky: Yes, I do. When do we do it?
Randy: What about tomorrow? I mean both if us got offs.
Becky: 🙄 I'll let you know.
Randy: Cool. Good night and can't wait to hear from you soon. I'm already so excited.
Becky: So am I. Good night.
I sighed closing my phone again. It's my weakness that I can't say no to people or hurt them by ruining their expectations. And that's the simple reason why I couldn't tell Randy the simple No. I'll be busy. But, now I guess I have to think of something else to postpone Randy's plans because there is no way I'm postponing mine with Dean. I've waited for thus cooking session for a month now and now that Dean has time, I just can't let it slip.
I pulled the covers over me and pulled on the mask over my eyes. I guess I'll think of an excuse for Randy tomorrow.
***Next Morning***
Dean's P-O-V
I sat back on my chair carefully listening to Renee as she shared the stories from her past most of which belonged to her academic success. I was glad that she started trusting me and on our forth session, she's already smiling while shee talking to me.
I left the apartment early in the morning today. Becky had an off and I didn't want to disturb her only peaceful sleep if the week. I prepared the breakfast, had mine and placed Becky's on the table with a good morning note.
Becky is really excited about the cooking thing with me and trust me, her excitement got me excited too.
'Why are you smiling?' Renee's voice hit my ears.
Oops.. Was I?
'Uhh.. Well, I..' I scratched my forehead smiling awkwardly. 'It's just that, I'm really happy about the fact that you're opening up to me.' I said doing a quite good save.
Renee smiled looking down and looked back up at me with a spark in her eyes. 'It's not me Dean. It's you who made me feel better and happier.' she said in a serious tone. 'You know Dean, nobody ever asked me the questions you did, nobody ever wanted to know me like you did. Nobody ever cared.' she said in an emotion-laced voice.
I kind of feel bad for her. I leaned my head towards her. 'It's okay Renee. I'm sure they will someday. You just give it a time okay.' I said giving her an assuring smile.
'They will definitely when I show them my true caliber after cracking the entrances this year.' she said in a determined voice.
Her determination, in no sense, was a positive thing to me. If she decides to stick with her academic ambitions, there's no way she could ever get rid of that obsession. I guess my new objective is to get her away from this field and divert her attention to the max. But, how?
'....and you know I had all the models of those intelligence cycle stored in that tree house. You can see every data model from future in there. It was my favorite hide out, it was my heaven Dean.' Renee said passionately.
'That's really cool Renee. I'd love to pay a visit to your tree house someday.' I said making her happier.
She smiled wide. 'Really Dean?' he asked loud in excitement.
'Of course. I'd love to. Just tell me when you'd like to take me.' I added with a smile.
Renee chuckled looking up on the ceiling. She was indeed very happy. 'Fine then, would you like to go there today?' she asked leaning herself towards me all if a sudden.
'Today..actually..' I tried to put myself but Renee cut me off.
'Please Dean. That'd be really nice of you. I mean, my babies haven't seen anyone since long.' she said in excitement. 'Plus, the weather is perfect. May be I could demonstrate the networking too.' she said.
Freak!
I forced a smile on my face. 'I.. I'd love to Renee but today I have pl..' I stopped as I saw the glow on Renee's face vanish.
'You mean don't like to see them Dean?' she said seemingly hurt.
'Renee I..' I started but..
'Fine then.' she wiped her tears gathering fast in her eyes. 'You don't have to.' she burst loud all if a sudden.
'I'll see them alone, I'll clean them, I'll take them out to the sun, I'll reattach the cables all by myself without you, without anyone. ' she said looking directly into my eyes reflecting her wrath.
God! She seems to be in a graver stage of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder than I thought.
'I still love them.' she muttered wiping more tears and got up from the chair to leave but I had to stop her. I just can't run away from one of the biggest challenge in my profession.
'Renee, wait!' I went after her fast and grabbed her wrist.
Renee looked at me surprised.
'I.. I'll go with you Renee. Today.' I said with a sigh after giving it a lot of thoughts.
Renee frowned. 'Really?'
'Yes really.' I smiled looking at her. Her eyes beamed and her smile was the brightest I ever saw.
'You.. You aren't joking like them right?' she asked getting serious all of a sudden. 'My parents, my brother..tbey always say they'd go but..' she shook her head. 'They never go. They never saw my babies. They are so mean and hypocritical Dean.. They..' she was getting restless when I cupped her face and made her look at me shutting down all she had to say.
'I'm not joking Renee. I will go see those. I'll be coming with you right now. I promise.' I said.
Renee smiled. 'You are the best Dean. You really want to see them.' she muttered.
'Yes and just promise me you'll take the pills on time okay.' I said assuringly.
Renee nodded through her smile. 'I will. I promise.' she said.
'Good girl. Now sit in the car. I'll just come after a phone call.' I said movng away from her.
Renee's expressions changed again. 'What phone call? You aren't canceli..'
'Hey... No. Relax..' I consoled her. 'I just have to call a friend and cancel the other plans.' I said. 'Just wait in the car.' I said.
Renee gave it a thought and nodded before walking out through the door.
I sighed. I picked up my phone but I had no idea what to tell Becky.
Becky's P-O-V
'There.. All set..' I smiled in satisfaction as I placed almost the ingredients at the right places.
Now, all I have to do is wait for Dean. It's just one patient and I don't think he'll take much time.
I giggled to myself remembering what happened the last time when I asked Dean to chop the onions and chillies. My poor baby had tears running over his face. Aww! I'll not let him do it this time. May be he could just help me with the grinding thing and the peeling things and the...
... my phone rang halting my plans and of course, it was the man of the hour himself. I recieved the call.
Becky: Hello Dean! How long will it take buddy? I can't wait any longer.
Dean: (pause) uhh.. Becky, can we just do it some other time?
Becky: (smile falters) Sorry? What do you mean Dean?
Dean: Becky, it's just that something came up and I need to go somewhere urgently.
Becky: (annoyed) What do you mean Dean? We planned it together and now after I got everything ready, something just came up from nowhere and you and you have to go! You think this is funny?
Dean: I understand Becks. May be we can just keep the things and do it next week.
Becky: (getting very angry) it isn't about the things Ambrose. It's about the hopes and anticipations I've been building for hours which you just dusted with a snap if your fingers. (sobs slightly)
Dean: Becky, you're crying?
Becky: No. I'm not and that's none of your business. (sobs)
Dean: (sighs) Please don't cry Becks. I swear I was ready but I need to give with Renee.
Becky: Oh! So, Renee, eh? (chuckles through tears)
Dean: Yeah and I swear she'd be mad on me and stop her treatment midway if I didn't agree to go with her.
Becky: And that of course, would be a straight blow to you if the most beautiful girl in the world stops seeing you. (chuckles sarcastically)
Dean: Don't be stupid Becky. (Seriously) I'm just staying true to my profession and she's a big challenge I can't loose, that's it.
Becky: Good luck with your challenge then Ambrose. I hope you win.
Dean: Why are you doing this Becks? Are you a kid? I mean, we could still do it in the evening when I return.
Becky: Oh no Dean. You don't have to think about that. Besides, I have many things important to do than ponder over you like helping Randy with the interiors of his house.
Dean: Wait! Helping Randy with the interiors! Where the hell did that come from?
Becky: Helping a friend don't have to come from anywhere Dean. It was just a plan.
Dean: Plan? When did you plan all these?
Becky: None of your business. Bye.
Dean: Wait.. Becks..
(Disconnected)
I disconnected the call and fell flat on the sofa bursting into tears.
How could he do this? How could my best fucking friend ruin our very special plans? Was Renee more important to him than me?
I wiped my tears clean.
No. There's no need of lamenting over this. Besides, we've grown old now and both of us have individual lives. I can't just expect Dean to abide by my rules now and so can't he..
I took my phone and typed a message immediately.
Becky: I'm all free to help. Send me your address.
After a few minutes..
Randy: Wow! Really! Great! Can't believe it.
My address is..........
I took a re-shower and got ready to help Randy with the interiors.
*******
Few hours later..
We laughed together at many things that happened while we went out shopping various shelves, bouquets and decors for Randy's house.
'And the way you said I want something hot to the color guy, he needed 60 full seconds to realize you actually meant hot colors.' Randy pointed and burst into laughter.
'Oh my God! You could've told me then!' I slapped Randy's arm playfully while bursting into laughter myself.
'You could've just seen his face Becky. He was like is this girl for real..' Randy said mocking the guy's expression making me laugh hard again.
'Oh dear Randy....but did you see that woman's face when you literally snatched the bouquet off her hand and book it before her?' I reminded another funny tale.
'Woah.. That was a good one. You chose that bouquet Becky, how could I let it go?' Randy laughed.
I giggled. 'Aww thanks Randy..' I said sitting on the sofa in his living room.
Randy chugged down some water from the bottle on the table while laughing his heart out.
'But, today was fun, isn't it?' he asked.
'It sure was.' I agreed. 'But, let's go and paint your bedroom now. Who knows when will we both be free next?' I pointed standing up from the sofa.
'Yeah, right. Let me show you my bedroom.' Randy said motioning his hand ti the direction and I followed it.
*****
'Here, thus us my worn out piece of shit.' Randy said showing around his bedroom.
To be honest, he wasn't wrong. The creamy walls were faded and almost had a skin falling at some parts. I looked around to see his bed and wardrobe neatly maintained unlike someone I know.
'What are you looking at?' Randy asked placing his hand on my shoulder.
I looked at him and smiled. 'You seem like a very disciplined guy! I bet your butler takes the paychecks for no reason.' I said smirking.
Randy raised an eyebrow. 'Really? Wow! I would take that as a compliment to my nature and an insult to my intelligence.' he said returning the smirk.
I giggled. 'You're most welcome.' I said turning around. 'Now get the paints.' I said.
'As you say your highness.' Randy did a little bow down making me roll my eyes playfully.
He's got a nice sense of humor actually.
**
'Here you go..' Randy said bringing the paint buckets along with the brushes.
'Thanks..' I said taking a brush while Randy took the other. We opened the buckets and wow! The smell I tell you.
'Wow! I'm sure you will be luckiest dude alive to sleep in this bedroom with the paints on.' I said to Randy playfully.
Randy chuckled. 'Someone's jealous.' he said with a smirk.
'Yeah sort of.' I said with a duh expression.
Randy chuckled walking closer to me. 'No problem. You can come and sleep here anytime you want.' he said looking deep into my eyes.
My heart thumped getting a weird connotation of what he said and a friend occurred automatically on my forehead but..
'...while I'll sleep in that beautiful orange bedroom of your in exchange.' he finished with a chuckle, much to my relief.
I chuckled to his statement. 'You really love my bedroom that much, eh?' I teased. He often tells me that when we FaceTime.
'Yeah, orange and Grey..amazing combination.' he complimented.
'Mhm...actually Orange is my favorite color and Grey is Dean's. So, everything you find in our place would be a contrast of these two.' I giggled.
'Well, that's pretty amazing.' Randy nodded.
'It is.' I said.
Randy smiled but then all of a sudden his expression went serious.
'Becky, can I ask you something?' he asked.
'Good ahead.' I said picking up the bucket the arranging the ladder.
'Do you know why Dean hates me so much?' he asked walking behind me.
Shit!
I turned around giving him a smile. 'It isn't like that Randy. We guys might have had tiffs but that doesn't mean Dean hates you.' I did my best to defend my best friend even though he's being an asshole to me right now.
Randy scoffed. 'I thought the same initially but with circumstances, I'm now pretty sure that he does hate me Becky but really don't know why.' he said in a frustrating tone.
'I even feel he doesn't want you to talk with me.' he added.
Well, now I just can't say that Dean gets negative vibes from you and he sure thinks I'm gonna falk into that negativity too if I hang around with you and yeah, fun fact: He even urges Seth to stay away from you. Duh.. I can't!
I sighed walking to Randy. 'You're an amazing person Randy.' I said looking at him. 'And so is Dean and I know one day, whatever conflicts you guys have would be resolved. Trust me.' I said with an assuring smile making Randy smile too.
'Since you said, I guess I got to trust that.' he said with a smirk making me blush.
I smiled. 'Now let's get to the paints.' I said motioning to the buckets.

Dean's P-O-V
Never have I ever felt a Sunday more depressing that this. And trust me, Renee's over enthusiastic projection of the data transmitting models have little to do with that.
I was just feeling so guilty. Becky's sobbing over the phone was still stuck in my head. I hurt her so much. She's been planning this cooking session since days and I always kept on deferring it but what I did today was horrible.
Becky got all the vegetables and meat we decided last night and was waiting eagerly for my arrival and there I was, deferring it once again.
'Dean, you aren't eating anything.' Renee said noticing my reluctance.
'Yes Dean, you seem a little distracted.' Renee's mom said.
Well, after we were done inspecting Renee's tree house, she urged me to come to her house and see her parents. I also learnt that Randy lives in his own separate apartment at the other side of the city which, probably is the one he needs Becky's help with.
But, I can't believe Becky agreed to help him and she didn't even speak to me about that once!
'Dean..You're okay?' Renee asked placing her hand on my arms.
I nodded forcing a smile. 'I'm fine and the food is amazing ma'am.' I said to her mother.
Renee smiled. I could say Renee was really happy today and her mom even whispered that she has never had her lunch in the family dining hall for long and she actually asks her food to be carried in her room and likes to have it alone.
I scoffed. I was indeed a successful doctor today but a very unsuccessful friend.
Who knows, if Becky are her lunch? Is she still upset? Did Randy manage to make her smile?
My stomach flipped. For some strange reasons I hated both the options. She cried for me and only I have the right to wipe her tears.
I bid Renee and her family goodbye and drove back home. I called Becky but she wasn't picking it up. She was still mad I guess.
I gave up the idea of a phonic sorry but I do want to apologize from my heart and make her happy.
I walked to the kitchen. She had everything ready and the kitchen counter had two chef aprons folded on it. I could only imagine how excited Becky was and I let everything down.
I looked at the vegetables. She brought them exactly how I said. I scoffed. I opened the refrigerator and took out the chopped meat.
An idea popped into my head. It's past afternoon. Why not surprise her with a delicious dinner with the planned recipe. My cooking might be bad but I know Becky's still gonna lick the spoon for it.
**
I chopped the carrots and got them in a plate. It was now time for the onions. I chuckled remembering the last time I chopped the onions and my eyes stung like hell. I even had tears running across my face and Becky was laughing so hard pulling my cheeks.
I kept chopping and smiling but then.. 'Shit!' I mumbled as the unmindful knife slit my fingers in the process. I looked down at my fingers and..
Oh no! It was bleeding badly. Should've put the gloves on. Added to that, my eyes were stinging and my vision was blurred. I strided towards the sink and put my hand under the tap. It was a big slit, I suppose.
The water wasn't working much. I splashed some into my eyes. But, the blood was still running badly. I went to the living room but had no idea where Becky placed the first-aid kits.
Crap! I picked my phone and somehow managed to call Becky with one hand but she didn't pick it up.
Damn! I slammed the phone and searched for the ointments and the first aids in the bathrooms and everywhere I could but they weren't there. I picked my handkerchief and somehow wrapped it around the slit but the bleeding didn't stop. I guess it got past the layers.
I sighed sitting back and picked up my phone again.
Becky's P-O-V
'Ugh Randy! You're doing it all wrong!' I snorted giving him a look of annoyance.
Randy looked at me helplessly. 'Come on. I've learnt from my mistakes Becky. I am doing good now.' he said.
I rolled my eyes. 'Who cares? Just admit I'm better than you in this.' I said smugly. 'See the pattern Randle..I started later but now I'll be finishing earlier.' I said running the roller smoothly on the wall.
Randy raised an eyebrow and before I realized he came near the wall I was painting and did some crisscross rolls on it while chuckling hard.
'What the.. You've ruined it. I was almost finished!' I said annoyed.
'Yeah and I guess you've to pattern it again Miss expert.' he said playfully before going back to his wall.
I gave him a pointed look. I wasn't going in the losing team. So,that's what I did.
I took the roller and tiptoed near Randy before rolling the paints on his back.
'Hey! What are you doing? My T-shirt!' Randy squealed and I laughed hard. 'At least, the wall would be finished before your T-shirt gets unstained.' I said smugly but the look on Randy's face wasn't an impressed one and..
'You're gonna pay for this..' he muttered and strided towards me with his own roller and a mischievous smirk.
'Oh no.. Aaahhh..' I screamed as he tried to catch me and I ran. He ran the roller in the air while following me.
'You aren't gonna escape from me lass.' he smirked and caught hold of my wrist.
I screamed again amidst the laughter hiding my face from the roller in his hand as he pulled me towards him.
'Please.. Please.. Don't do it Randy.' I begged through my laughter struggling within his grip. He chuckled too scaring me with the dripping roller and I hid into his chest for protection.
'Look at you Miss expert.' he laughed harder wrapping his arms around me and tightening the embrace.
I
was breathing hard through the hard breaths caused by the laughter and so was Randy. Finally, I lifted my head up and saw a pair of piercing blue eyes looking at me like there was no tomorrow.
Both of our breaths mingled and I soon felt his fingers tracing a strand of my hairs on my face and softly placing them behind my ears. I winced at the contact and I could already see the underlying smirk Randy held. He leaned nearer such that our noses almost touched. I gasped clutching onto my shirt.
Randy's eyes never moved from me at once. I felt his breath on my skin. 'You have beautiful eyes Becky.' he whispered running a finger down my cheek making me close my eyes with fear, shock and a strange sensation. He leaned nearer and his mouth tilted left towards the side of my face.
'But too bad I just put that paint on your beautiful cheek.' he whispered before bursting into laughter.
What on earth! I put my finger on the exact spot he touched and of course, there was paint.
Ugh!
'Randy you..' I pushed him away and started punching his chest. He faked getting hurt but I didn't stop.
'Ahh.. Ouch.. Becky stop.' he begged amidst the chuckle and trust me I could have killed him if it wasn't for the doorbell.
'Woah.. The pizza must be here..' he said resisting my attacks. I rolled my eyes stopping the attacks.
'Only for the pizza.' I said and let him get to the door.
******
We finished the painting as well as the pizza. And trust me, Randy's bedroom does look like a human habitat now.
'Wow! Amazing!' Randy said looking around.
'Mhm..thank me later Randy.' I said smugly.
Randy smiled looking at me. 'They say you don't thank the people closer to you Becky. But, trust me I'd love to payback anytime you want.' Randy said.
'Cool then. I'll see you tomorrow Randy.' I smiled and walking to the exit.
Randy looked at me blank but I don't know why I felt a sadness lurking inside.
'Uhhh.. Sure.' he said.
I nodded with a smile only to remember. 'Ugh! I guess I left my purse and phone in the living room. Can you please get it for me?' I asked turning to Randy who nodded.
Randy walked back with my purse and my phone moments later. 'Well, it seems you've had a lot of missed calls.' Randy said looking at my phone.
Really!
I walked near Randy to have a view but my luck! The carpet was messed and I tripped myself on my heels and..
'Ouch!' Thankfully, I landed safe on Randy's arms.
'Careful.' he said looking at me with a wink. Shit! I'm blushing in embarrassment.
'Th.. Thanks.' I said awkwardly looking down placing a strand of my hair behind my ears. Randy scoffed and closed up the gaps between our bodies.
I bit my lips as I felt his fingers lifting my chin. 'Look up Becky. You look great when you blush.' he whispered making me look into his blue eyes. My heart pounded as his eyes moved slightly below mine.
My lips shivered and I blinked not knowing what to do. But, I guess Randy knew better as he started leaning in. His hot breath fanned my face and his lips tried to measure mine. His nose brushed against mine and I knew what was next.
Without thinking much, I pushed Randy's chest breaking the trance. Randy was surprised as evident from his expressions.
'I.. I'll see you at the hospital.' I said looking away and taking my stuffs from his hand before rushing out of his apartment.
My heart was beating and my face flushed. Was he really about to kiss me?
But, I can't. I just can't.
Without sparing any glance to my phone and my purse I sat on my car and drove fast to my apartment. I guess Dean must be home already. At that moment, my anger on his was totally dissolved and all I wanted was to see him.
I parked my car fast and took the elevator to the desired floor. The door was opened and I rushed through it almost running into.... Seth.
'Seth!' I said surprised by his presence in the apartment. He had a look of annoyance in his face just as he saw me.
'Oh so you came.' he said with hatred in his voice.
I know he doesn't like me much but today he seemed really different.
'Of course, I came. This is my place. But, what are you doing here? What's going on?' I asked fearing two consequences.. (1) Dean got drunk and Seth brought him home. (2) Seth got Dean a girl for a better night.
Seth didn't respond first and just rolled his eyes. 'Why don't you see for yourself?' he said in a tone of annoyance before walking out.
I frowned in confusion.
I walked inside with a pounding heart.
Without checking much, I went straight to Dean's bedroom and there he was leaning his head on the bed rest with closed eyes as his face reflected sheer pain added to the bandage in his hand.
My heart stopped.
'Dean!' I called loud. 'What happened to you? What is this?' I said pointing to his hand.
Dean's eyes opened and he realized my presence but to my disbelief he looked away. I ran to his side and accommodated myself at the side of the bed.
'Oh God! Was that why Seth was here? Oh no! How did that happen and why didn't you call me?' I blurted restlessly lifting Dean's wrist but to my utter disbelief, Dean pulled his hand away not sparing me a look.
'Dean..'
'Had fun with Randy?' he asked in a cold tone not looking at me.
What? What is he talking about?
'Of course you must have.' he muttered. 'You were too busy to pick my calls.' he said with scoff sarcastically.
'Calls!' I asked surprised and then it registered in my head.
'Dean, I left the phone in his living room and we were in his bedroom and..'
'Oh wow! That counts even better. You were in his bedroom!' Dean said scoffing sarcastically. '...having the fun of your life..'
I frowned in shock at his statement and my heart bears halted for a while with a stinging pain. Does he really think I'm a kind if girl who would hook you with any random guy on her first visit?
Tears rolled down my eyes before I even realized.
'... while I was that idiot who tried cooking dinner to surprise you and..' Dean chuckled sarcastically looking at his hand.
My eyes frowned in surprise. I looked at him through my tearlaced eyes. He tried to cook for me!
'You tried to cook dinner for me and is that how it happened?' I questioned grabbing his wrist but he pulled it away again.
'Oh god! Dean, how can you forget to wear a glove and I'm sure you did this while you were chopping those silly onions with a stung eye.' I said restlessly through my tears.
'You.. You didn't have to do this for me Dean.' I said resting my head on his shoulder as my tears penetrated the fabric of his shirt. Surprisingly, he didn't pull away this time.
Dean was breathing fast as I sobbed.
'Why didn't you tell me about your plan with Randy?' he asked all of a sudden.
With his previous languages, I already guessed he wasn't impressed with my decision to go to Randy's place.
I wiped my tears and lifted my head up looking at him.
'He asked me the favor a while ago and I didn't bother telling you because I was about to cancel it until you decided to ditch me with the cooking.' I said still sobbing slightly.
It was now that Dean looked at me with a slight frown.
'I.. I'm sorry Becks.' I heard his voice.
Did I hear that right?
'Renee asked me to see her models in a certain tree-house and her tantrums forced me to accompany her.' he said shaking his head.
I blinked a couple of times and did a thorough analog the condition.
'It's okay Dean. I understand, her case is different and you were just being a good doctor. I guess I was being a little too childish that time.' I said playing with my fingers sheepishly.
Dean smiled. 'No Becks. Actually that's how I like you. Childish and crazy.. Just the way I love.' he said with a smile.
I giggled. 'So, did you forgive me for my carelessness over the stupid phone?' I asked battering my eyelashes at him.
Dean scoffed. 'Only if you give me a good head massage tonight.' he said with a smirk.
My eyes widened and I chuckled. 'Anything for you Deano.' I said pinching his cheeks.
'Ouch! Don't do that Becks.' he said rubbing the spots on his cheek while I giggled.
'Fine. I'll just go and get changed. I'll sleep with you tonight.' I said ruffling his hairs and getting down from the bed.
Dean smiled. 'I'll be waiting.' he said.
