CHAPTER 20

I quickly left the building with my hand resting on my wound. I had to get to Master Fu, he had to treat Tikki and maybe also me. Civilians were looking at me and gasping, I tried to hide it by waving and smiling, but it didn't seem to work. Panic was quickly spreading and people started taking pictures.

I took my yo-yo and ignored the splintering pain as I jumped into a building where no one could see me. I hid behind the door of an attic and said, "Tikki spots off". Tikki lied in my hands with a painful face.

"Marinette, take me to Master Fu," Tikki said painfully with her little voice.

I quickly stood up, but I saw that the bleeding was not stopping. I looked around to see if I could use something to cover it. I saw a rag and took it with me and placed it on the wound. I quickly left the building hiding Tikki in my purse.

The building was not far away from Master Fu's home. I tried to walk quickly, but it became harder and harder every second. "Common Marinette do it for Tikki," I said in my mind.

I started to see Master Fu's entrance and I walked faster.

I opened the door and fell into the ground.

"Marinette!" Master Fu yelled while he stood up to come help me.

"I-I- you have to help Tikki," I said while the wound was getting more disturbing.

Master Fu quickly got up to help me.

As he tried to pick me up there were drops of blood everywhere around the floor.

"Marinette?" Master Fu asked.

"Just save Tikki, please..."

I handed Tikki to Master Fu while I layed down on the floor while covering my wound, this way it felt better.

"Marinette, what happened?" Master Fu said while he held Tikki in his arms.

"Im-I'm sorry," I said laying down on the floor.

"I'm the worst ladybug there has ever been" I said while tears came down my cheeks

I know Tikki has always told me that every Ladybug there has ever been different and that I was special in many ways. If I would have been more careful Tikki wouldn't be like this.

"No, no Marinette, don't worry, I'll heal Tikki, so you focus on your recovery. I chose you for a reason, don't forget that," Master Fu said while helping Tikki.

He then suddenly asked with a scared tone, "The Miraculous."

"Cat Noir has them, I said that I was going to go get them," I said while I pressed down on the wound.

Master Fu sighed and said, "Alright Marinette, but I need to help you heal that wound as soon as possible."

I nodded while the tears stopped falling. At this point I didn't even know who I was, I was just a nervous wreck.

"Alright Marinette, this drink is a magical drink, it will help you close the wound, this is a very ancient drink, but every guardian has them just in case of emergencies like this," Master Fu said with a smile on his face.

"Thank you master," I said while picking the circle-like bottle.

It had a reddish color and it seemed really cold. As soon as I opened the cap of the bottle a horrible smell came up.

"Master- are you sure this is ok to drink?" I asked while pinching my nose shut.

"Oh yes, this is very normal now just drink it," Master Fu said laughing.

I felt like someone was looking at me. I turned to look and there were all the Kwamis except Tikki, Duusuu, Plagg, Pollen, Longg, and Nooroo.

"I thought you might like their presence since Tikki isn't here with you right now," Master Fu said with a smile on his face.

I quickly smiled at him and thanked him.

"Are you going to drink it, or what?" Kaalki asked with a sassy tone.

I laughed because all of these kwamis are completely different, they all have different traits and personalities which is what made them so special.

"Yes Kaalki," I replied smiling.

I quickly downed the medicine in one drink. It burned my throat while making its way down. The effects were instantaneous, but it was unpleasant. I felt like Felix stabbed me all over again, but this time it was all in reverse. My wound started to close slowly. It was working, but the pain was almost unbearable.

"Do you feel better?" Master Fu asked.

"Yes- I just need a few minutes," I said laying back down while the Kwamis sat around me.

I felt the wound close even more as I didn't feel a pull in my skin any more.

"Marinette, Tikki is recovering, but it's going to take the whole afternoon and maybe night." He sounded disappointed.

I looked at my phone to see that it was already 5 PM.

"Then how will I get the miraculous back?" I said confused.

"Well, if Tikki isn't feeling better, you will have to take another Miraculous for that moment," Master Fu said.

I sighed and looked at the kwamis.

"That's right Marinette, I would choose one if I was you, remember, Tikki is still going to be with you, don't you worry," Master Fu said in a conforming way.

"Alright," I said looking at all of the kwamis.

I won't be fighting any villain, I'd just need the powers to go quickly and get the miraculous.

"Master, could you choose for me? I- just don't want to hurt any of their feelings," I said.

Master Fu laughed and so did some of the kwamis. "Of course," Master Fu said.

"Sass, will you help Marinette?" Master Fu asked while he smiled.

"Of course master," Sass said happily.

Sass was technically Luka's kwami from time to time. Having Sass with me reminded me of what Luka said. "You never cared about me, so why should I?" Even if he was under a "spell" it still hurt me.

"Master, will Tikki recover?" I asked nervously.

Master Fu sighed and said, "Marinette, the damage that has been both done to you and Tikki is tremendously big, the thing is that recovering for a kwami takes a longer time, but this isn't the first time that an accident happens to Tikki, so you shouldn't worry, for now."

"Alright Master," I said while trying to smile through the pain.

"Marinette, come back later, you can come whenever you want you know that, right?" Master Fu said.

"Yes, of course Master," I said smiling.

Master Fu handed me the snake miraculous and I put it on. It perfectly fit me, I really tried not to think about Luka, but the thoughts never disappeared.

"Thank you Master, goodbye!" I said while heading out.

"Goodbye, Marinette," Master Fu said while getting back to Tikki.

It was already 6 PM when I headed back home.

Sass hid where Tikki used to hide in my purse. Which made me feel very guilty even though Master Fu told me to not.
