CHAPTER 27

As Cat Noir and I headed out of Master Fu's place, I looked back at Master Fu while he smiled and nodded at me. I smiled back at him happily. I was currently still transformed with Sass and Tikki was sitting on my shoulder. I never thought that Cat Noir would have said the things he did, but it made me happy.

"So Bugaboo, now that Plagg and I technically saved your kwamis life and your life, would you like to go have dinner with me?" Cat Noir asked awkwardly.

"Chat you know we can't," I said giggling.

The smile on Cat Noir's face faded and he said, "Yeah I guess you're right, we can't know anything.." While he looked back at the shop.

"But hey, see you next time?" I said putting my hand on his shoulder.

"Yeah, see you next time milady," Cat Noir said with a small smile while jumping into the roofs of Paris.

I walked a little bit more still transformed with Sass, until I arrived into a dark alley, where I couldn't really see anything.

"Tikki, can you see anything?" I said, trying to look around.

"No but I sense someone..!" Tikki said while hiding behind my hair where she was covered.

"Shit," I said, trying to get away from the alley where it seemed like there was no escape.

I walked backwards once I noticed that there was a wall in front of me, and when I did I tripped but someone held me.

"Who are you?!" I said.

"You need to get out of here," the voice said.

"Well I clearly can," I said sarcastically.

"Just hold my hand," the voice said.

I had no other escape so I did and I felt Tikki shrinking behind my hair.

It was still dark but I could see better now, but the person I was holding my hand was all covered up so that I could not see him.

"You know, sometimes I feel like Cat Noir and I are the same person when it comes to love," The boy said with sadness.

"Huh?" I said I was confused.

"I like a girl, a lot, but she follows a dude that just keeps on hurting her," The boy said.

"Well I don't like anyone FYI," I said, clearly annoyed.

"Well- it was a pleasure meeting you again," The boy said.

Again?!

"Uh-" I said before the boy was under the moonlight where you could clearly see his hair.

Luka

"Thank you Luka," I said with a smile.

"Goodbye Marinette," Luka said.

As soon as he said that, I felt my heart stop. I couldn't breathe anymore and my throat felt dry. Did I hear him right? No, that's impossible, I told myself, but I knew that I was in denial. How do I convince him that I'm not Marinette? No one except myself and master Fu can know my secret identity.

"I-I'm not Marinette," I said trying to hold my confidence.

"I've known since the moment you rejected Cat Noir the first time," Luka said, looking at me with a sad but angry face.

"Luka- I'm not Marinette," I said as some tears began to form in my eyes.

"STOP LYING MARINETTE!" Luka said angrily.

"Will you listen?! I am not Marinette!" I said.

"Right, then why are you crying?" Luka said with a scoff.

I looked at him angrily and said, "I never thought you would be this evil Luka."

"If you are worried about me saying it to someone then don't worry," Luka said looking back at me.

"I- goodbye Luka," I said heading out the other way.

"I would never do something to hurt you- you just always lied to me," Luka said, upset.

I ignored him and walked home until I started running.

"Mari-?" Tikki said.

"I am so stupid Tikki," I said resting over a roof.

"No! It's not your fault, it's just Luka figured it out," Tikki said, trying to comfort me.

"I- I just want a break from everything," I said crying.

"I can't keep on doing all of this, first Lila, then Luka, then Cat noir and now Luka," I said crying.

I didn't realise that my bracelet was beeping until I transformed into my normal self.

"Marinette, you shouldn't worry about Luka, he's just hurt," Sass said.

"At this point, everyone is broken," I said crying.

"Marinette, why dont you take a break tomorrow and don't go to school?" Tikki said.

I smiled at her and said, "I would love to."

"Yay! We can go and hang out with Master Fu and th-" Tikki said, before I panicked and stopped her.

"Oh no. We can't go to Master Fu, he is going to be furious at me," I said.

"Marinette. Master Fu might be sometimes intimidating but he chose you for a reason, he already knew that this would be happening, you just have to honestly talk to him, without any lies," Sass said.

"Ok.." I said drying my tears.

"Let's go home now," Tikki said.

"Right.-"but we are on the roof," I said.
