CHAPTER 16

Cat Noir's Perspective:

Ladybug somehow finds a way to impress me everyday. She gets stronger day by day, but so did I. She was better than me, but she was being more stubborn and hot-tempered, but those are all the qualities that make me swoon over her more.

As Chloe and I waited for bugaboo, I turned because I felt the presence of someone behind us. The person behind us was someone I did not wish to see right now.

"Uh- what are you doing here?" Chloe asked with an agitated face.

"Well it's my pleasure to see you again too," Felix said.

Felix.

"Who is this rat?" I asked even though I knew too well who this was.

Felix gave me a chilling stare.

"Ha! Very funny! This is.. Well.. I really don't know how to explain this," Chloe said.

"Felix Graham," he replied in her stead.

"No one asked Mr. Graham," I said.

After everything that we've been through, we only came to our house to get my mother's ring back. Despicable asshole. How dare he show his fish face here. I haven't heard or seen him for 6 months.

"What are you? A racoon?" he asked, feigning ignorance.

"No, I'm Cat Noir, please stop acting dumb you already saw me last time," I winked at him. Perhaps swallowing my pride and annoying him would be better.

Felix got mad and looked at Chloe trying to influence her.

"So Chloe, where's your mom?" Felix said with a smirk on his face.

My rage started to consume me. How dare he play my loved ones like an instrument.

"She's in New York," she replied confidently.

"Oh, when is she coming here?" He smirked.

"Well--" Realisation kicked her in the face..

"Trying to influence me copycat? Please! You're just ridiculous, utterly ridiculous! I won't hurt you because you're still Adrikin's cousin, but don't test me boy," she said aggressively.

Ladybug's Perspective:

Ugh not Felix.

I hated him so much. He didn't just insult me, but he almost ruined my relationship with Adrien.

I saw Chloe yelling at Felix and felt a bit more satisfied.

"Well well, Felix, we meet again," I greeted, sliding down from a building.

"Hello Bugaboo," Cat Noir greeted back.

I smiled at him and got back to Felix.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I was going for a walk," Felix said, staring at me up and down.

Cat Noir immediately noticed what he was trying to do.

"I kind of regret not giving you that kiss that day." Felix smirked.

I could feel Cat Noir getting angrier. He gripped his baton and hitted Felix in the stomach, hard. Felix went to his knees and cradled his stomach, gasping for air.

"I hope you learned your lesson," Chloe gloated.

"You will regret this," Felix said, quickly walking away.

Felix saying those words reminded me of what happened with Lila. I glanced at Cat Noir and saw that he was still angry.

I wanted to comfort him, so I went to him and hugged him tightly. Was it my imagination or was his heart beating faster? I felt the hesitation, but I ignored it and hugged him tighter. Eventually he hugged me back and we stood there, sharing our body warmth together. A private intimacy only he and I could exchange.

"Ugh, are you guys finished or what?" Chloe said irritated.

I coughed and nodded.

"Chloe Bourgeois, I give you the bee miraculous to help us in this mission. You will give it back at the end of the mission," I said.

"Yeah yeah, same shit talk all the time," she chided and took the miraculous from my hands.

I ignored her sass and flitted my eyes to Cat Noir who was hysterically laughing.

A bright light flashed in front of Chloe and a creature appeared and greeted,"Hello my queen!".

"Well hello to you too Pollen!" she replied, giddy.

"It's great to see you, I would love to talk to you more but we need to help Ladybug and Cat Noir!"

Chloe nodded and said, "Pollen buzz on!"

Chloe quickly transformed and spun herself around to look at her suit.

"Ready to go?" Cat Noir asked.

"Ready," she replied.

We started jumping around buildings and I spotted Luka. He was trying to get into my room. My parents weren't home yet, so I ignored it for now.

"So what's the plan?" Cat Noir asked, breathless.

The plan was really simple, we just needed Chloe to be around her so that she distracts Manipulatress and then we would capture the akuma.

I told them the plan and they all agreed.

"Ok well I'm going to get her attention," Queen Bee said and jumped down first.

Cat Noir and I grinned excited to see what she would do .

"Oh if it isn't the rat!" Queen Bee said laughing.

Manipulatress immediately turned around and glared at her.

"ME? RAT?!" Manipulatress laughed hysterically.

While they were arguing I tried to find where her Akuma was.

Bingo.

The bottle of sleeping pills in her pockets was poking out from her pockets.

"Chat, the akuma is in the bottle of pills in her pocket," I told him.

"Alright Bugaboo, we'll catch it," Cat Noir said, winking at me.

"Stop calling me Bugaboo!" I said rolling my eyes while he just laughed.

"Well Chloe Bourgeois, isn't it the person who defended pig-tails," Manipulatress said laughing.

"Uh- I had to defend her from a certain lying bitch," she replied.

Manipulatress took a dagger she was concealing and lunged at Chloe.

"You really think you are going to win against me?!" Queen Bee said. She swiftly dodged every attack.

"Yes after all you're just a nobody," Manipulatress said laughing.

Queen Bee visibly got more angry.

"Venom!" she yelled and aimed for Manipulatress' pocket.

It looked like Chloe knew where the akuma was.

She went to attack her again when someone moved in front of her.

"Not so fast," a mysterious voice replied.
