The Agreste's
CHAPTER 10
Tikki was shocked.
"Tikki, what are you doing here?" I asked.
Tikki sighed and closed her eyes.
"I was sent here by... Ladybug," she said.
Ladybug? What did she want?
"I don't understand," I said, shaking my head.
"She wanted to check if Marinette was alright," she replied.
"Why would Ladybug send you to check on Marinette?" I asked.
"Well, she also sent me to thank you for taking care of Marinette."
My face brightened up.
"Well-uh I have to go! Bye Cat Noir!" she yelled. Tikki rushed out the window.
"Well-that was very weird," Plagg said.
"Yes..." I replied.
As soon as I finished speaking, Marinette woke up and Plagg hid behind me.
"Ugh,-my head. What happened?" Marinette asked, her blue head looking around.
"Well, um, you fainted for a few minutes," I replied.
"Oh sorry! I didn't mean to," she said.
"It's alright Marinette, it was not something you could control," I said.
We both laughed and we talked.
"Uh Marinette, I forgot to tell you that tomorrow, we have a meeting with the principal. They are planning to expel Lila--" Marinette interrupted me.
"Well for once, I think she deserves it," she said.
We cracked a laugh again.
I checked the time on my phone and it was already 8pm.
Oh no, I'm in deep shit.
"I'm sorry Marinette, but I have to go home. My dad will be really angry at me," I told her.
"It's alright, I understand! I have to go somewhere too, so I can see you out?" she asked.
Marinette's Perspective:
I had to go visit Master Fu.
I felt a feeling in my guts telling me to go see him.
"Oh ok! For sure," Adrien replied.
We walked while talking and time passed so quickly. We were already facing the gate of Adrien's house before we realised.
We were still laughing when someone shouted at us.
"Adrien! Where on earth were you?" Gabriel Agreste. Ugh. Love him for his work, but hate him for his personality and parenting.
"F-father?" he spoke awkwardly.
"Who is this girl?" Gabriel asked, still angry.
Gabriel stopped and turned to me.
"I don't know who you are, but stay away from Adrien," he said.
Tears stung my eyes.
"Father! This is Marinette, my friend!" Adrien said angry
"Sir, I won your contest, I'm Marientte. Don't you remember me?" I asked.
"I don't care! Adrien, come inside now," Gabriel barked.
I walked away quickly because I didn't want Adrien to see me cry.
Before I could leave, he grabbed my hands. "Wait Marinette!"
I didn't turn around, but I pushed his hands away, regretting every second of it, but the pain of what Gabriel said was still a fresh wound.
"Goodbye Adrien," I told him, my voice cracking and raw from emotion. Tears strolled down my cheeks.
I was pouring and I was drenched. I ran to Master Fu's place, but I ran into someone again.
"Marinette? Are you ok?" Luka asked.
"No." I replied and cried. Luka hugged me and I held tight.
"What happened?" he asked, worry creasing his words.
"It's nothing Luka.. I just.." I cried more.
"I-I have to go," I said.
"Marinette!" he yelled.
Luka grabbed my hand. We locked gazes and he slipped his arms around my waist. He pulled me in closer, our bodies pressed together. My breath hitched and my heart pounded a thousand beats faster. Every time his skin touched my skin, electricity sparked. No one dared to move. I knew it coming before I felt it. His mouth crashed into mine. We shared a hot kiss for what seemed to stretch on for an hour. I felt Luka's breathing deepening. He kept his hand on my waist and head. He ran his fingers through my hair, un tying my hair.
I could have done this forever with Luka, standing in the streets with him and holding hands. But I knew I couldn't. I pulled away from him.
"Umm-I-I have to go now," I laughed.
"Bye Marinette," Luka said and I ran toward Master Fu's place.
Luka had a cheeky smile and my face mirrored it.
Did I like Luka? I'm not sure. But I do still love Adrien and that hurt me the most
"Marinette! You kissed him!" Tikki said, proudly.
"I know!!" I said, excited.
We ran to Master Fu's place and I him talking with the kwamis.
"Hello Master!" I yelled.
"Well, hello Marinette!" Master Fu.
"Tikki!" yelled all the Kwamis.
Master Fu and I laughed.
"Is there anything I can help you with Marinette?" he asked.
"I just wanted to ask you something," I said.
"Of course, anything," Master Fu said.
"Why doesn't Nooroo or Dusuu just come to you?" I asked.
The kwamis' face changed and they came to sit around me.
"You see Marinette, they have masters, like you, you are the master of Tikki. You can tell Tikki what to do and what not to do and she has to follow those rules," Master Fu said with a sad face.
"If there was an easier way to contact them- I would have already done it, but it seems like they're in hiding," Master Fu said.
It was honestly sad that these miraculous were used to do bad things.
"What about Hawkmoth, why does he want our miraculous?" I said
"You see Marinette, the power of Plagg and Tikki are probably one of the most powerful ones" Master Fu said
"Hey I'm also powerful!" Said Trixx.
Master Fu laughed and said "Of course you are Trixx, everyone of you is, but Tikki and Plagg can be stronger than you are, but that's ok, because you, my kwamis are very powerful" Master Fu said reassuring the kwamis.
"So, Hawkmoth just wants our powers?" I asked.
"Yes, but he first needs to know your identities, that's why Cat Noir or you can't know your identities."
It was sad to know this, Master Fu was always home making sure the kwamis and their miraculous were safe.
"I sense conflicting emotions; sadness and happiness," Sass said, approaching me.
"Huh, how do you know what I feel?" I asked.
"Well Tikki isn't the only one that feels emotion, plus I'm the kwami of intuition, it's natural to me."
"Yeah.. I guess," I replied, upset.
"Marinette, I don't want to put any pressure on you, but everything happens for a reason. Like when I choose you for Ladybug," Master Fu said.
I smiled at him.
"Master Fu, thank you." I smiled at him.
"Of course Marinette, come back anytime."
Tikki said goodbye to everyone and so did I.
I looked at Sass and he nodded his head.
I was pretty sure he knew what had happened.
We headed back home and talked all the way.
"You know Marinette, listen to Master Fu," she said.
"I know Tikki, I'll always follow his advice," I said.
We entered home and my dad was still baking.
"Hi dad!" I said and gave him a huge hug.
"Hello! How was your day?" he asked.
"It was ok I guess." I said trying not to be suspicious.
"Oh ok, well I made some macarons for Adrien, but I think he left?" my dad half-asked and half-commented.
"Umm-oh yeah. It's ok dad, I can eat them!" I said with a faint smile on my face.
I gave my dad another hug and went back to my room.
"Marinette, what about Adrien?" Tikki asked.
"You heard what his father said."
"Don't listen to him! You know Adrien will still be your friend!"
The words that Gabriel Agreste had said were painful and mean, but I don't think it would affect the friendship I have with Adrien right.
Author's note: Hey guys! OMG! We loved writing and editing this chapter, and we hope you liked it too!
Song choice: We choose "The end of the world" by Billie Eilish! We choose it because we think
Marinette feels this way toward Adrien, if there was five minutes of earth left, would Adrien go to her?
