CHAPTER 21

"Marinette, worrying about Tikki won't help you," Sass said with a sassy voice.

"I-I how do you know?!" I asked.

"You know I'm not the kwami of intuition for no reason," Sass said with sass.

"Right- I forgot about that," I said.

Sass always surprised me, even if we only talked a few times he was always able to tell what was wrong with me.

"So when are we going to meet Cat Noir?" Sass asked, looking around.

"Well- I first need to go home and change, since I'm kinda covered in blood," I said.

"Oh, right," Sass said.

"But after that we will get your friends back," I said with a smile.

"Thank you," Sass said.

There was a silence before Sass decided to break it.

"So what happened between you and Luka?" Sass asked, interested.

When he said that my body froze, but I still kept walking.

"Umm- so you see- well you know what happened, but then.." I said before he stopped me.

"He hurt you," Sass finished my sentence.

"Well- yes," I said.

"But you do know that he was under a spell right?" Sass asked.

"Well yes-" I said before he cut me off again.

"Well then why worrying, you know he loves you but he was under a spell," Sass said.

"He-" I said before Sass cut me off again.

"Don't pretend like you don't know, Marinette! You obviously know, but someone is blocking your path," Sass said with a strong voice, sounding like he was annoyed.

I knew that Luka loved me, but when someone said it out loud it made me realise that there was a boy that actually loved me. And obviously the person blocking me was Adrien, but- I like Adrien.

"Yes Sass," I said before I received a call from someone.

"Someone is calling you," Sass said .

"Yes I know," I said laughing.

I took the phone out of my pocket to see who was calling, and I wasn't expecting that person to call me.

"Well are you going to pick up?" Sass asked.

"I-" I stuttered.

It was Adrien, what did he want? And why was he calling me?

I waited for the ring to stop, I just couldn't talk to anyone right now, especially not him, since Felix was probably with him.

Just before the call was going to end Sass got out of my bag, pressed the green button and put it on speaker.

"Sas-!" I said before Adrien said something.

"Marinette? Are you alright?" Adrien asked.

"Uh-Yes! It's just I almost tripped!" I said.

"Oh ok, I just wanted to ask if you were still up to go to the movies as my apology?" Adrein asked.

Uh-

"Umm- Yeah! I mean I forgot- but!" I said while Sass looked at me with an annoyed face.

"I mean that sure!" I said confidently.

"Oh great! Is Saturday good for you?" Adrien asked.

"Uh yes!" I said nervously.

"Ok well see you on Saturday! I mean tomorrow since we still have school" Adrien said while he laughed.

"Right! Bye!" I said while I clicked the red button on the phone.

"ARE YOU FOR REAL?!" I screamed at Sass making sure no one heard me.

"I do everything for a reason Marinette, you'll thank me later," Sass said with a smile on his face.

"Right.. Ugh," I said with a tired face while we started to walk back home.

When I arrived home my parents weren't home which was very weird since they were supposed to be in the bakery.

"They are not here," Sass said.

"Yeah.. I've noticed" I said in a suspicious way looking around.

I had a gut feeling that something was happening but the idea didn't come around.

"I can sense what you are feeling," Sass said while he sat on my shoulder.

"Yeah I can see that," I said.

There wasn't the good energy there used to be at home, it was weird.

"Am I the only one that feels something weird?" I said confused.

"No," Sass quickly said.

As soon as Sass said that my parents rushed into the bakery, Sass hid behind me.

"Mom, Da-" I said before my dad interrupted me.

"When were you going to tell us this happened?!" my dad yelled at me.

"Tell you what?!" I said confused.

I looked at both of my parents, my mom had a face of shock and my dad was angry but he seemed scared.

"What happened in school?!" he yelled.

"I-" I said while I was stuttering.

"You could have gotten yourself killed!" my mom said.

I was not sure what they were talking about, but I hope they weren't talking about what happened with Lila.

"Ladybug was bleeding! She was close to the school and we thought something happened to you!" my mom said while she came to hug me.

I felt relieved as they didn't know about what happened with Lila.

My dad joined the hug and said, "You should have called us."

"I know, but everything went so quickly that I-" I said, before my mom interrupted me.

"It's ok Marinette," she said with a smile on her face, which made my dad calm down.

"Well since we now know that you are safe and healthy, I'm going to make dinner!" my dad said with a smile on his face.

I had to get out of here before they asked anything else.

"Alright! Well I'll be in my room, doing homework, yep!" I said going up the stairs.

"Alright!" my mom said while she stayed with my dad.

I headed upstairs and quickly closed the door to my room.

"That was close," I said.

"Yes.." Sass said.

I looked around for food to give to Sass just in case he was hungry.

"Oh, Master Fu told me that you need to check your wound once in a while, just in case," Sass said.

"Oh yeah for sure! Thanks!" I said looking for food to give to Sass.

"Oh and I don't mind eating cookies like Tikki, it's just for today either way," Sass said with a smile.

"Thank you," I said while I smiled at him.

I handed him the cookies and he was surprised by how good they were.

"These are delicious!" Sass said excited going in circles around me.

"Haha! Thanks Sass!" I said.

While Sass ate I looked at my phone which Luka texted me a lot since today, I didn't respond because of what happened..

Reading his messages broke my heart. I put down the phone, either way I would text him later so I'm sure he does not think it's a big deal.

30 minutes passed of Sass and I talking and eating cookies and I had so much fun talking with him. I looked at my phone and it was almost 8.

"I think it's time for you to check your wound," Sass said while he stuffed cookies into his mouth.

"You're right," I said.

I got down from my bed and took a deep breath, even if it had been "fixed" I was still scared to see what it looked like.

I walked to my mirror and put my shirt a little bit up until my hip, where the wound was. It had a purplish black red colour.

"Yeah.. that does not look good," Sass said.

"It doesn't," I said scared.

As I looked at myself in the mirror, I could feel tears forming in my eyes. Why was I crying?!

As soon as I was able to hold my tears someone opened the door to my room, I didn't even have time to put my shirt down to cover my wound on my hip.

"Marinette?!" Luka said.

"Luka?!" I said confused.
