CHAPTER 15

"L-luka?" I asked.

It was very awkward due to the fact that we kissed yesterday. Everything seemed to be going so quickly.

"We need to get you out of here," he said.

"I-Why?" I asked.

"Well, who do you think got akumatized and is looking for you?"

I didn't even have time to respond, he took my hand and held it tight. He carefully opened the door and looked around. It was crazy and everyone was screaming. We both ran to the entrance of the school and hid behind it.

"You need to go hide," he said.

"I-but I can't leave you here!" I said nervously.

"It's fine don't worry! I'll bring you to your house and I'll come back, I have to go for Juleka anyways," he said and flashed me a charming smile.

I smiled back and he accompanied me to my house. As we were running we heard someone say "Marinetteeeee! Where are you?" The voice asked.

Luka quickly wrapped his arms around me and spun me around. His back now faced the voice who was probably the akumatized person. No, there was no way I could allow this. I tried to move or struggle, but he held me tight. I could hear his breathing this close and I couldn't tell if it was my own chest-pounding or if it was his. I just wanted to hug him back and kiss him, comforting him by saying everything would be alright.

"Ma-marin-run!" Luka yelled.

I turned around to see his face, but his eyes faded to purple. He had sacrificed himself to save me.

"I don't know why I ever kissed you, you still love Adrien!" Luka screamed into my face and grabbed my wrist.

He grabbed it so tightly I couldn't budge, I tried kicking him, but nothing happened.

"L-Let go!" I said struggling.

"You know, you never deserved me. You are just trash," he said, a wicked grin splitting on his face.

"N-No! Luka!" I yelled, fully panicked.

I know Luka was under the 'spell' of the akumatized person, but he was being really hurtful. It was as if I was facing Gabriel Agreste again. At least I wasn't close with Gabriel, but I was close friends with Luka. Could this perhaps be what he always wanted to say?

"LET GO!" I screamed.

"You know, I wonder what Adrien thinks about what happened between you and I yesterday," Luka said with an evil smirk. "Oh wait he doesn't even care." He laughed.

I silently wept. My tears were acid on my cheeks. This wasn't Luka, yet it hurt.

"L-Luka stop it!" I demanded while trying to get myself free.

He wouldn't let go. The person that got akumatized came closer and closer. They weren't running towards me because they knew I couldn't move.

"Luka please let me go! Please!" I begged.

"You never cared about me, so why should I?" he said angrily and gripped my wrists harder.

"Yes I did and I still do! Luka please."

He didn't respond but I fell to my knees because of how much my wrist hurt. I didn't even realize how long he was gripping my wrists.

"Let- me go," I said, still on the ground.

"No," Luka said.

"You know it's not nice to treat princesses like that." A very familiar voice came from behind us.

It was Cat Noir. He ran towards Luka and attacked him, forcing him to release me. Cat Noir was grinning and still had his cheekiness, but underneath that, I could almost sense pure rage while he was hitting Luka. I looked at my wrist. My wrists were shades of blue and green bruises, formed by Luka's hands.

"Well looks like you need a partner again," Cat Noir said while still fighting Luka.

"I don't need your help!" I said annoyed.

"Right, either way, did you make someone mad, cause the villain is still screaming your name." That jerk was laughing.

"It was her fault," I said confidently.

"Alright, well I need to bring you somewhere where you won't get found," Cat Noir said while he grabbed my waist and pulled me closer.

He extended his baton and we quickly jumped to the roof.

"Go hide somewhere in your room, I'll go fight your prince charming and that weird villain"

I didn't bother replying.

"So it's Lila!" Tikki yelled.

"Yep, let's get into action!" I said.

"Tikki spots on!" I said and transformed into Ladybug.

It felt good to be ladybug again, all of my problems disappeared when I was ladybug. Now I just had to fight one of my greatest enemies, Lila.

I jumped from my balcony onto where I was before. Cat Noir was still fighting akumatized Lila. She wore a black and red suit with a hood. I quickly moved to where Cat Noir was.

"This one again huh?" I said sarcastically.

"Yeah, I think she likes getting akumatized," he replied laughing.

"Well if it isn't Ladybug and her kitty!" Lila yelled.

"Nice to meet you! I'm Manipulatress!" she said.

She started chanting weird words and sounds floated toward us.

"Cat, the waves are what are affecting the people!" I said.

"Saw that!" Cat said.

"Let's go, we need to think!" I said while jumping into one of the buildings.

Cat Noir followed behind me and we hid next to the Le Grand Paris.

"We need to figure out where her akuma is," Cat Noir said.

"Right," I said looking around.

"Are you really that dumb?! This was supposed to be bigger!" Chloe was yelling at some delivery people.

I turned around and looked over to Cat Noir with a smirk on my face.

"You know Cat, since we found out that Manipulatress is Lila, who does Lila hate?" I said with still a smirk on my face.

"Uh-Marinette?" he replied, rubbing his bell.

"Uh-! Yeah! But I mean who else?" I asked, shocked at how slow he was.

"Chloe Bourgeois!" he replied.

"Yes, kitty.." I said slapping my hand to my forehead.

Cat Noir and I laughed.

"UGH! OMG LADYBUG SAVE ME!" Chloe said, running toward us.

"These idiots can't do anything!" Chloe yelled.

Cat Noir looked at me and nodded.

"Hey what do you say about a little Queen Bee action today?" Cat Noir asked Chloe.

"FINALLY, MY GOSH YOU GUYS TOOK YOUR TIME!" she yelled and had a big grin on her face.

Cat Noir and I both laughed.

"Ugh, whatever, umm where is Pollen?" she asked.

"Uhm- right, you see- I need to go get your miraculous first," I replied.

"Oh- ok well who are we fighting against?" she asked, flipping her hair back.

"Yeah-umm,-so.. you see..." Cat Noir struggled to say.

"DO YOU KNOW HOW TO TALK?!" she barked

"Yes I do, and we are fighting your best friend Lila Rossi!" Cat Noir said sarcastically with a smile.

"Ugh, that bitch!" Chloe said, rolling her eyes.

"Right- so because half of Paris or all of Paris knows that you are Queen Bee, that means that Lila knows, which is why we need you because she doesn't like you.." I tried to say it in a nice way.

"Right- but she doesn't like Dupain-Cheng either," Chloe said.

I glared at her.

Cat Noir hysterically laughed and then tried to cover it with my coughing.

"Ok. Well stay with Cat Noir, I'm going to go get your Miraculous," I said annoyed.

"Ok, and don't take a long time," Chloe said sarcastically.

I left and headed over to Master Fu's. I detransformed and ran to his place.

"Master!" I yelled and opened the door.

Master Fu got startled and accidentally spilled tea on himself.

"Marinette.." he looked at me annoyed.

"Ha- sorry master!" I said.

"It's alright, now what's with the rush?" he asked.

"Well- we need some help!" I said.

Master Fu laughed and walked to where the Miraculous box was hidden. It seemed like he always knew what I was going to say. Master Fu took the Miracle box and sat back down.

"Marinette Dupain-Cheng, choose a Miraculous that will help you defeat the Akuma. Choose wisely."

I, for once didn't even have to think, I quickly took the Bee Miraculous.

"Interesting choice, are you sure it will help you?" Master Fu asked.

"Yes, definitely master!" I said.

"Alright, well off you go!" he said, laughing.

I quickly left, transformed back, and headed off to the hotel. When I arrived I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
