Chapter 36: Valt

Valt:

The finals were here.

Not just the finals for the beyblading team competition, the finals for SCHOOL too. That hurt, since I usually copy Shu's homework, so I had to guess for a lot of it. Fortunately, I'm a visual learner, so writing the stuff down helped a lot.

After a painful day of math testing, I dragged myself out of school, took Valtryek out of my pocket. "Well, that was awful, wasn't it?" I asked the beyblade. Daigo informed me Valtryek's a she, which I'm still confused about. Especially since I kept calling her he for a while.

Someone covered my eyes from behind, laughed softly. "Guess who?"

I pretended to think. "Well, normally I would say the best boyfriend in the world, Shu, but he doesn't laugh."

He uncovered my eyes, smiling serenely. "I don't know what you're talking about."

Robin appeared in front of me somehow, took a picture. "OHMYGOD HE SMILED!!! APOCALYPSE!!! NUUUUU!!!!!"

Daigo smirked. "Apocalypse. Ready to destroy Rideout?"

The Kurenai siblings paled at the name, although Robin's nervous face was more noticable.

"Shu?" I asked. "Is this about Lui?"

"Maybe," he answered tersely.

Daigo was questioning Robin. "What about you?"

"Gabe," she said. "He has a new launch every time he battles. As for the strategy, I suggest we send out Honcho, our weakest against their strongest: Gabe. Shirosagi's a wild card, we don't know if he'll come or not. So Honcho versus Gabe, Broccoli Face needs to die, and Tiny Boi, Valt can have."

"What does that mean?" Valt protested.

Honcho appeared, Wakiya at his side. The latter began a rude introduction. "Yo yo yo wassup bi--"

The fan smacked him. "So, let's go! Maybe we can get in a few practice rounds."

---

Once they got there, Robin started talking about her plan. "So, I counted. Everyone's here except Lui, but that doesn't mean he won't give an appearance later and register last for a surprise attack."

Shu nodded in agreement. "Something only he would do." There was surprisingly little judgement in his voice.

"So, what about sending Daigo, Honcho, or Wakiya up against Gabe, and we'll send Valt or me up next?" she suggested too innocently for the three in question to miss.

Princess Wakiya got in her face about it. "You mean we're the weakest?" he practically screamed at her.

"Yes," she replied unflinchingly. "The order from best to worst is Shu, Valt, me, Daigo, Wakiya, and Honcho."

Her boyfriend hurried to placate the other two, embarrassed. "Don't worry; she wasn't being rude. Robin's just a little blunt when it comes to strategy."

"Yeah," I agreed. "Remember when she called Shu an albino shoebox?"

Everyone laughed at that except for the shoebox in question.

Honcho interrupted. "Robin against Gabe."

She tilted her head, at once interested. "Why, excatly?"

"You just said you were the third best out of us," Wakiya pointed out. "We'll need to save Shu in case Lui shows up, and Valt's our wild card. Besides, us expendable people think losing one match could lose us the whole tournament."

Wakiya could be pretty blunt too.

Robin groaned. "Fiine. Maybe I'll lose on purpose just to spite you."

She left the room, presumably to go warm up. Shu turned to the rest of us. "Lui's most likely to go third. That leaves one opening. Who?"

I saw my opportunity. When I last saw the baby shark, he laughed at me for my weakness, and I swore I would beat him next time. When Shu asked the question, I was already behind him, the closest to the machines.

With a quick movement, I sprinted to the third computer and placed my launcher against it. A beep told me the registration had been successful.

No one was happy about that.

My name was chorused angrily, mostly by the Honcho. Shu looked mildly amused, but put on a stern face. "Valt, that was rude. Now, who wants to go second?"

Daigo coughed and muttered an excuse about wanting to cheer with Ryota and left the room.

No one else moved. Shu sighed and registered.

"Let's go practice!" I cheered, running for the exit.

Robin was, again, nowhere to be found at the training room. This time, she had the courtesy to leave a note, which Daigo snatched before any of us even noticed it. It was like he had infrared vision or something.

He scowled. "Alright, then," he muttered to himself. "Whatever you say, Robin." To the rest of us, Daigo reported, "Robin basically said that she wanted to practice on her own right now. Something about a stronger launch."

I started launching at random. "Boom! Explosions! Whoosh!"

Shu smiled.

--

"Let's get this show on the road!" Hanami yelled, met with cheers and roars of excitement. "For the final round, let's bring out our competitiors! In the red corner is Team Rideout! The victors from day one! And in the blue corner!"

The doors began to rise. "The rising stars, the Beigoma Academy Beyclub!"

Beside me, Shu muttered something about needing a name change.

Hanami announced the rules. Any win, burst finish or otherwise, would get one point. Three points to victory, so people might have to go again. "If that happens," he said, "Anyone from the two teams can challenge each other."

Cool! So I really could fight Lui if one of us lost! AWESOME!

"The first round!

Robin stepped out from behind Honcho. It would have seemed to the crowd that she was missing, along with Lui from the other team. Her prediction had so far been correct.

She was also correct in saying that Gabe would be up first. He got to the stadium first, hulking muscular form only slightly less scary than Xander's. You know, until you get to know Xander. Then he's not so scary.

Robin tilted her head at his beyblade, which were circled with rocks. "Upgrade?"

"Yeah," he admitted, voice like gravel. "Meet Giga Gainon."

She grinned. "Cool. Pretty awesome, actually. You've seem Phoenix before, so I guess I don't have to be dramatic."

A ripple of laughter went through the crowd as Valtryek's dramatic entrance went through their minds.

"Three!" She tensed, and I wondered if she'd try a new launch. Gabe sure was.

"Two!" Robin obviously decided on Sky Launch, as she jumped in the air, spun twice for momentum.

"One!" Was she floating a little? And all this time, Gabe was holding still, feet planted shoulder width apart, launcher held in front of him.

"Let it... rip!"

Robin launched gracefully, probably aware how difficult of a battle this was going to be. Gabe's launch didn't seem like much, as it seemed a bit wobbly. Judging from his look of dismay, if definitely didn't go as planned.

Phoenix headed around the outer rim as it's owner fell back down. She landed, stumbled, and collapsed. "Ouch!"

Several Rideout fans sniggered at that.

Gianon was now at the center, spinning in unbalanced circles, but it kept going. I assumed this was like one of Robin's launches, except improved and less risky. Phoenix went in for the attack, and Robin shot back to her feet. "No!" she yowled out loud.

Phoenix swerved, barely avoiding a collision.

"Robin diverted her beyblade's attack!" Hanami yelled. The fans booed. "But why? What could she be up to?"

"That's our launch, but his is better," I heard her mutter. "Stupid, stupid. I've got it now."

I understood. Gabe's non-Descendant skills laid in making people trust what was on his face. Usually it was probably the truth, but in this case... the look of dismay was fake, which Robin fell for. I believe the metaphor for that is, "hook, line, and sinker."

Suddenly, her red beyblade careened into the wall. Once, twice, then...

Sped up.

The tip on the bottom glowed with sparks as it shot even faster towards Gainon. Gabe nodded in grudging approval as it collided with Gainon. Sparks flew and I heard the distinct whining of metal on metal.

One of those beys were going to break.

Phoenix tore away from it, and Robin smiled. She hadn't heard what I heard. "Good. We wore it down a bit. How much longer can you go?"

Apparently, talking to Phoenix out loud was quicker than in her head, or maybe just more natural.

She took a breath, then cried, "Again!"

This went on for some time, until both beys started really slowing down."One last time," Robin begged, almost silent until Daigo told me. Really, how could he hear so well?

The beyblades clinked against each other one more time, and Robin startled me. She started muttering something that sounded like a spell. Gabe was silent, eyes steady and unblinking, hands gripping the bottom of the stadium.

The beys speed up, while the two blader's faces began to drain of color.

"THIS IS THE POWER OF THE DESCENDANTS!!!" Hanami roared. "THIS IS CALLED THE REVIVE FUNCTION, ONLY ALLOWED TO BE USED IF BOTH HAVE THE POWERS!!! iT'S RARELY USED, DUE TO THE TIRING EFFECTS, BUT IT'S IN FULL EFFECT NOW!! ! THINGS ARE REALLY HEATING UP NOW!!"

Both beyblades were behaving like the attack versions, zooming across the stadium and crashing into each other. It was more of a contest now of which blader could provide more energy.

As of now, both looked like zombies. Their skin was so pale it looked like they'd been drained of blood. Meanwhile, Phoenix and Gianon crashed into each other, the walls, the floor, fell from the sky, everything. It looked like Robin had truly met her match.

They slowed down a lot, and both of them were blinking dizzily. One of them was going to break in the biggest way: their bey would burst and they would probably be knocked out.

Again and again and again. Robin stumbled suddenly and Phoenix wavered. She cried out, urging her on with another burst of power. I could feel it from here, how desperate she was. Encouraged by her loss of control, Gabe nearly smiled, and his bey reacted. Valtryek pulsed, letting me know that Gainon had unleashed his full strength. Time for the final blow, and I just hoped Robin had something good up her sleeve, because she looked dead. "We're going to win this!" he roared, directing his bey-spirit.

Shu's sister gritted her teeth, biting her lip until it drew blood. Guess that proved the zombie thing wrong. "R-Rise Phoenix! Go! Burn him to the ground!"

"THIS IS THE FULL POWER OF GABE AND ROBIN!!!" Hanami bellowed, clearly loving every second of this. "THIS IS INCREDIBLE! I CAN'T BREATHE! WHO WILL GIVE IN FIRST?"

In a shower of sparks from her bey, Valtryek vibrated again. Robin's exhaustion was evident, as was Gabe's. It was clear the latter had more power, though their determination was equal. Even so, without energy, a human body cold only go for so long.

The two beys collided one last time, sparks flying and metal grinding against metal and stone and plastic and heart and soul and everything that mattered. Everything crashed together and blew apart in that single moment.

A massive wave of energy was released, throwing both Rideout and my team against the wall. Several people cried out as their refreshments were lost. I heard Daigo yelling as he protected Ryota.

Then everything was silence. We all saw Rise Phoenix and Giga Gianon fly off the stadium, sparks still trailing from both, scarred stadium left as a reminder of their power.

And the silence was shattered by Robin's screech of pain as she collapsed. In that instant, a shrill sound emitted as Phoenix broke to three pieces.

It was over.

Gianan burst, half the rocks on the discs snapping off. I gaped at it in shock. Robin broke part of that beyblade. How? And would it affect him?

To answer that, he seemed to wince. I could only tell because his eyes started squinting and his jaw seemed weird, like Shu's when he was concentrating. He picked up his pieces and Phoenix's, put them back together

"Giga Gainon wins!" the ref announced, looking windswept. "Uh... I've never seen this before. Should I call medics or..."

"No need," Gabe said quietly. "She'll be up in a minute." He knelt down, placed the bey in her hand, shook her shoulders.

The girl in question mumbled something sleepily that sounded like, "Lemme alone, im asleep, goaway."

He shook her harder. "C'mon. Get up." Gabe lowered his voice and head so only she (and by mistake, I) could see the friendliness in his eyes. "That was impressive," he whispered. "You almost had me."

That was the part that I knew would haunt her. That she had him on the ropes but failed to complete her task. Robin slowly stood up to cheers from the audience. She mustered a smile and it seemed to come easier when her eyes traveled to Daigo. The white-haired girl turned to Gabe, bowed, turned and walked back to us.

"I'm going back to sleep," she muttered, waving Shu away from her and laying on a bench. Then Daigo charged in with Ken, Ryota on the taller male's shoulder's.

"Are you alright?" Daigo demanded, grabbing her by the arms just as she sat up. He looked at her briefly, not needing to even lift her hand. "God, I was so worried when you blacked out. I'm glad you're alright, but I could strangle Gabe for touching you like that."

I made a face as she rolled her eyes. "He only touched my shoulders and arms, Daigo. But really, I'm alright now. It's sweet of you to worry, though."

He wrapped her in a hug, kissed the top of her head.

She looked over at us through a curtain of hair. "I lost a point. You both get those back, especially you, Shu. Lui's not here right now, so hurry up and start your match before he is."

He nodded grimly, tugging off his gloves. "Understood, sis."

Second match: Broccoli kid against Shu. Valt remembered his name was Shinki Mikuni.

"Valt."

I turned around surprised to see Shu. Hanami was getting the crowd excited, and Shinki was probably warming up his whip-sharp tongue. I thought he would be meditating or something calming. Or not. "Yes?"

"Could you hold this for me?" Without waiting for my response, he dropped a red and gold something into my open palms and left. Somehow, without speaking, I had responded to his question, which was rare. Then I realized what that red and gold thing was.

Did Shu have two gloves when he spoke to me, or one?

A crash from Robinś direction made me turn around. Robin was on her feet, though not very steady, and trying to kill the wall.

"Waah!" I ran over. "What are you doing?"

She looked over at me, fire in her eyes. "I was this close!" she snarled. "I saw his beyblade burst! Just after mine! Ten more seconds, and I would have won, alright? That's pathetic, and if we lose, it'll be all my fault!"

SHe went back to punching the wall. Her knuckles were starting to bleed, and I grabbed her hand before it touched the plaster. "Enough!" I yelled. "DO you think you could have done better at that time?"

Silence. She stared at my hand squeezing her wrist like it was foreign. "How did you catch my hand?"

"I dunno, how did I use Lui's whip? It's a mystery. Now, answer the question."

Robin glowered at me, but stepped back. "I should have." Seeing my intake of breath for a scream, she sighed. Her shoulders slumped and she fell back on her bench. "No."

"You will next time," I promised sincerely. "You have to, because it's been five minutes since I've yelled."

She smiled, pulled off her jacket, and went back to sleep.

A noise from outside startled me. Shinki's yelp of surprise. "Wait! Where's your glove?"

If Shu was me, he'd be laughing over there.

"Three! Two!"

I got over to the others in enough time to see Shu's left hand covered with a glove. Left hand launch?! Come to think of it, last time he made spaggetti, he used both frying pans, didn't he?

Arg! Why do I think everything is food?

"Let it... Rip!"

It was over in seconds. Shu's left handed launch was nearly perfect by now. I'd seen him training for hours at a time until I had to drag him to my house for beybread. He'd do the same thing for twenty-four hours if I let him. Once, he told me I should go home because it was too late. I did. The next morning, he was still there, launching for the gazillianth time.

Shinki's bey was in three pieces before I could blink.

Neither opponent looked surprised, as the sharp-tongued Rideout member collected his pieces and nodded respectfully to him. "At least I lost to you. You deserve that title, you know."

"GET OFF THE STAGE!"

Everyone whipped towards the sound of that voice. It was harsh and high pitched, with a slight growl to it that made it that much more iconic. At the top of the stairs that lead down to the stadium was a certain leader of Rideout. Not captain, Gabe was currently watching the scene.

The undisputed leader was Lui Shirosagi.

"Didn't you hear me?" he snapped, his fluffy-looking scarf floating around him as he walked. "You're an embarrassment. Go away now!"

My eyes narrowed. To shame a partner on national television was just cruel.

For once, Shinki's quick tongue was betraying him. "But... but--"

"But what?" Lui demanded, blue hair flaring to twice its size. "Losers like you..." He turned to look at us and grinned, revealing sharp teeth. He was staring right at me when he said his next words. "That's what the other team is for."

I growled quietly at his callousness. Robin's eyes opened and she fell off the bench. "If that Lui I heard?" When I nodded, she shot to her feet, marched out.

Her white hair glinted in the lighting as she whipped her head around to Lui. Shinki, already scared, paled further. Her eyes, so tired a few minutes earlier, blazed with fury and life. "What did you just say?" she snarled. "Because if said we were losers, Phoenix and I are going to blast you to kingdom come."

Lui threw back his head and laughed. "Oh, poor little Azura," he howled, wrapping his scarf around his arm. I looked around for someone named Azura. Who was she?

Shigure blue...

Real names. Of course. Robin was Azura and Shu was Shigure. Obviously, Lui was aware of this, because he grinned at her ghost-like face. "You thought you could beat me? How much weaker have you become since last time? You lost to my second, and I'm twice as strong at the least. You have absolutely no chance, especially as you are now."

Now that he mentioned it, I noticed that Robin was shivering slightly and that blue streaks were plainly visible. She was way too tired to fight such a powerful blader. Still, Azura drew her shoulders back and fixed him with a gaze that could make a lion flee. "Maybe I can't, but I see your name is on the charts as third competitor. Why don't you go and get your butt kicked by Valt, would you? Once you lose, we can someone else who you owe a huge debt." She stepped back to reveal Shu, eyes glowing.

"SUCH A DRAMATIC INTRODUCTION!" Hanami roared to the crowds. "SHE JUST MIGHT TAKE MY JOB!"

"Well?" Azura prompted. "Scared, are you?"

He laughed again, flames sputtering across his scarf. "Bring it on, Azura."

Oh, I could tell she didn't like that. Shu --no, Shigure-- subtly gestured for me to come forwards. I did so, offering him his glove.

He shook his head, gently pulling off my fingerless gloves and replacing them with his own. "For luck," he whispered. "And for revenge."

I had to beat Lui now. Everyone's hopes were riding on me, and none of Rideout seemed to want to intervene, bar Gabe. Except he was too tired to do anything other than scowl in her direction, as the Xander rip-off was too proud to sleep in the middle of a match.

Robin grinned at me. "Either win or give Shu his turn. Make him pay."

She winked at Lui and walked off the stage, leaving silence in her wake. She'd probably scored herself several hundred fangirls who wanted her dead now, but Robin probably didn't choose her name for nothing.

Shu and Broccoli head left, too, leaving me alone with a maniac. I knew I wanted to fight him, test my strength, but luck alone got me away from Gabe and Shinki and in this situation. Fear thrummed through me, and I shoved it away. Fear wouldn't help me as of now.

First things first: If my face showed me being happy and excited, I would be more happy and excited. I rearranged my face to convince everyone else, then took out Valtryek.

Please, partner. Everyone's relying on me. Please, please help me.

This was when I envied Descendants. In my house, no one had the gift, but Toko was blessed with an incredible tactical mind. Nika could convince anyone of anything, even me to give up my beybread.

"Giving up already?" Lui's voice jolted me back to the present. "I wouldn't blame you, but it's unbecoming of 'a rising star.'" He grinned, and ignored it, attaching Valtryek to my launcher.

Wait.

"But it's unbecoming... of a rising star...." Did he just give me a complement?

Yes, albiet underhanded.

"Three!"

I researched Lui Shirosagi. He'll probably have a new move, but I prepared for his older ones. I stand a chance.

"Two!"

Set up my launch. His beyblade was called Lost Luinor.

"One!"

Deep breath. You have a chance.

Wait. What was that swingy arm thing he was doing? ...A new launch...

"Let it... rip!"

Valtryek hit the stadium after Luinor, already a bad sign. To make matters worse, the white bey put on a burst of speed, rocketing around the outer edge. Valtryek got out of the way-- barely. Sweat dripped off the back of my neck at the near miss. One hit from that monster and Valtry was gone.

A different voice entered my head, not mine. Do you really think so little of me? What would you have me do?

I nearly flinched. Waah!! W-what was that?

The voice was vaguely female, quiet and annoyed, gravel her voice. Me, stupid! Valkyrie? Your beyblade? Anyways, we've got two seconds, what should I do? Can't run forever, y'know.

"Right!" I yelled aloud, swinging an arm. "Inner ring, now!"

Lui grinned shark teeth flashing in the lights. "Luinor! Center!"

Valtryek had another near miss. I can't get near it, Valkyrie's frustrated voice told me. Somehting else!

Bait him to outer ring, then push him out of the stadium! I instinctively drew an idea from Robin's Big Bad Book of Strategy.

Got it, cap'.

Our opponent started laughing at my bey getting closer. "You think you can beat me in a head-on collision? No way!"

My expression betrayed nothing. Valtryek brushed one of the dragons on the energy layer and drifted slightly farther away.

Lui rolled his eyes. "Did you really think suck an obvious ploy would work?"

I looked up at him, my face the very image of innocence. "What're you talking abo--"

Aaagghhh!!!! My partner's scream made me flinch. I almost missed the moment when Valtyek burst.

My jaw dropped in surprise as the refree called the match. I let them down... I thought as I pieced together my partner.

Valtryek started talking to me again. Look, we didn't really stand a chance. Next time though, you'll have trained with me, so you'll be stronger. Don't feel bad.

You're right, I decided, a plan forming in my head. I smiled excitedly at Lui. "What was that cool launch at the beginning? It seemed to give Luinor extra spin time! 'Cause usually it's only going for a minute and half or so, right?"

He seemed torn between exasperation and anger. "Why should you care?" Lui said finally, twisting the ends of his fluffy scarf. "And I thought I told you to stop fanboying, got it?"

I glared at him, oblivious to the outside world. "Let's battle again!"

Gabe politely coughed from the red corner. "This is an official match."

Robin added, "You can't demand another match afterwords...."

They finished together. "Can he?"

"Actually, he can," the referee said. "I might suggest sending in someone else, though."

I saw Shu waving for me to come and switch with him, and made my desicion. "Again!"

Lui rolled his eyes, but apparently decided to humor me. After he shot Robin a look that seemed like, I'm keeping my promise. "Fine," he dedcided. "Then I'm leaving."

Hanami clearly didn't know what to make of my brash actions. "W-well, this is an interesting turn of events! Valt Aoi may have more surprises for us in store!"

I switched to my inner diologue. Okay, Valkiyre. I guess we save the lecture for later. First, he seems to know every move we make before we do. I need to know how you're communicating with me. I thought only Descendants could.

Well, that's another thing you were wrong about, wasn't it? She told me. Geez, I thought beyblades didn't have attitude.

Wrong! If a beyblade gets strong enough, it can share power with the beyblade and vice versa, got it? Now, let's try following my ideas.

I hesitated, uneasy with handing over any control. Until now, I could be whoever I wanted, change my attitude to fit the situation. Control of myself was what I had the most of.

Don't you want a chance? Valtryek pressured.

Yes. More than anything, yes. I gave her my answer and I thought she smiled. Good. Now just stay silent and let me take me take a bit of energy when I need it.

"Let it rip!"

So that didn't work out so well, Valkyrie admitted. Next time we'll do better.

We tried twice more, and FAILED AGAIN!!!!

Lui start laughing harder, holding up his perfect beyblade. The twin dragon heads gleamed with what seemed like amusement. I was mildly surprised with my failed skill, but more confused about the TALKING BEYBLADE!!! What was going on with that?

I hardly remember getting our second place trophy. Robin scowled at hers and muttered to Shu she read second place was a fancy title for first losers. (Throne of Glass.)

After that, the only thing I remember until I got to the park was Wakiya's angry face and his yelling. It all seemed to blur together as I talked with Valkyrie.

So... you can talk to me because you reached a certain strength level or something, I tranmitted. SOunds like a video game.

It's not, she promised. Her shape was beginning to form behind my eyes, a blurry blue-haired woman with dark skin and golden eyes. Silver, purple, and blue armor coated her body like a second skin. There's two ways to get powers with beyblades, not that anyone noticed. The first way, born with them, is fairly often. They're born without most of their toe bones, a evolution of human species. The second way is to gain powers gradually with your beyblade. This way means you need to have a strong connection with me, so... hi. Actually, there's three. I heard of something called passed down powers. One for.... Something. Can't remember.

A/N : AND YES MAYBE THERE'S GONNA BE A CROSSOVER.

I almost smiled before realizing Shu would think I was crazy. So cool! So why did you ask for my power?

Revive function, Valkyrie snapped, annoying attitude back. You did see your Azura, right? Well, she's not too experienced with that, which is why she got K.O'ed, but, yeah, that's how it works. Check out Lui's power. It's off the charts, incredible. You actually have tons of natural talent, so I think we can get your level up in a week, if we practice for about an hour.

There was a ton of buzzing in the background, and Valkyrie's sudden yelp. Gaah! Who-- Azura? Ramos? What're you doing?

A tired voice entered his range of hearing. Yo yo yo wassup? You guys are both novices, so you can train with us tomorrow. Ramos'll teach Valtryek--

Valkyrie.

Valkyrie, and I'll teach you. Be prepared for a LOT of pain. Also, bring beybread.

I frowned slightly, but kept the "I'm asleep" mask on. I thought you were too tired to do anything? How are you talking to me? Didn't you use all your power?

Yes.

Valkyrie cut in. Such a thing called "recharging, you know." And Ramos says he'll also be going against Daigo for two hours before we're practicing, so, you know, it's good practice for both of us to fight someone powerful.

I noticed a change of pronouns. He?

Beyblades can change gender at will, dummy. How do you think we mated with humans?

I almost gagged. Too much information.

Oh really? I could see her clearly now, her sparkling eyes, the arrogant tilt of her chin, the strong set of her shoulders. I wasn't attracted to girls, but by most boy's standards, she was hot.

She smirked at me, along with Ramos. We've lived for thousands of year. We'll give you a lovely description of mating.

Don't! Robin and I chorused. I sensed her consciousness fading back to sleep.

Now, I have more than my ideas to guide me. I have my wonderful-and-also-irritating beyblade, my great friends and boyfriend and family, my mentor, and most importantly what I found when I got into the house.

"BEYBREAD!!!!"

---

Well, that was a beautiful ending to the team finals, I think. Seems alright. TOOK ME A GAZILLION YEARS AND THIS IS 5,000 words long! Pretty good, though.

Well, see ya later. Sorry for the long chapter, I hjsut wanted to finish this arc or section or whatever ti's called.

ROBIN OUT
