Chapter 32: Robin

Robin:

"Woah," she murmured, eyes big as saucers. The festival was very, very, very---

"AWESOME!!!" Valt screeched, running around at lightspeed. Shu sighed, crimson orbs closed. She could tell he was thinking, Again, Valt? as he chased after him.

The festival had hundreds of tents, giving out free food. There were several games and cool prizes and scarves and pretty hats and why were there so many Zac fangirls?

Daigo rolled his eyes, a spark of resentment glowing in his face. "This place is lame. Let's go." He grabbed her arm and tugged Robin in the direction of the gates, carefully avoiding the stage.

"Um... why are we avoiding that place?" She pulled her hand free and tilted her head. "What?"

"Nothing.." Daigo replied guiltily, grabbing her hand again.

Aww... he cares! Ramos squealed. He looovves you!

Stop that Happy impression!

"What? Is it about Orochi up there? He just joined the Superstars, and he won the contest, so it doesn't really matter to me."

Daigo turned around and blinked, face turning red. "O-oh. Um, sorry. Okay... I guess if your not bothered by that, maybe we can stay for a little bit."

"Great!" she laughed, dragging him over to a random stand. "Ooh!" The tent was filled with different colored strips of cloth and sequins and jewels. "So pretty!" Robin snatched a red cloth and wrapped it around her head, stuffing her hands in her pockets and slumping. Her voice deepened. "Hi. I'm Daigo. I'm grouchy and I hate everything but my little brother, Ryota."

He swatted her shoulder. "Shut up!"

Robin stopped. "Aww, fineee. But you need a new headband!"

"Itś a bandanna!" He scowled. "And no I don't! Just because mine's old doesn't mean I need another one!"

She laughed, picking up a dark purple band with silver edges. "Sure you do! Try this one!"

Ten minutes later, Robin dragged him out of the stall and forced him to wear the purple band. "Hey, at least this matches your ears," she pointed out as he growled.

He facepalmed. "I give up. I'm done. Let's just find the others."

Valt was in the process of devouring his fourth bowl of spaghetti while Xander and Shu watched with amused looks. Yugo and Wakiya were yelling at each other, Honcho video-taping it and Ukyo just silently standing behind his captain.

"Well, you're stupid!" the samurai-in-training roared.

"You look stupid!"

"You're an idiot!"

"I hate you!"

"You're so annoying, you jerk!"

Daigo sighed and pushed them away from each other. "Break it up, you two."

"No!"

"No!"

He groaned, facepalming. "Whatever. When's you're wedding?"

Honcho's eyes started glowing, and Robin backed up quickly. "Jeez! Calm down!"

"Never!"

"Okay," Daigo breathed shakily, casually walking towards a stand. "I'm gonna get food and--"

"Attention!" Zac yelled over the loudspeaker, music stopping. "Please make your way to the stage, as our special guest will be arriving shortly."

Robin arrived. "Hey, Xander, what are you doing here?"

"Got an invitation," he replied easily, ruffling her short hair. "Hey, Yugo and Wakiya, cut it out."

Ukyo appeared behind them. "I thought we were the special guests."

Valt jumped up with an empty bowl. "I thought it was Shu!" His attention jumped somewhere else. "Oooh! Cake!"

The short haired girl snatched his hood before he could run off. "Nope. Youŕe staying right here."

Ukyo glanced up and looked towards the ocean. It could have been her imagination, but his face paled. "A-actually, let him," he decided, grabbing Robin and Daigo by the arm.

"Thatś Lui," he told them as soon as they were between two tents. "Shu's first boyfriend."

"We know," the other two replied in unison. Robin continued. "Heś a stupid jerk. They broke up, but obviously blame each other. Apparently, Lui was jealous of how much time Shu spent with Valt. Shu got angry at him and started yelling. Lui got angrier and left. From what I heard, Shu destroyed his first beyblade. Then Lui destroyed mine."

"WHAT!" Ukyo hissed.

"Iĺl tear him apart," Daigo snarled at the same time.

"Calm down," Robin told him. "But... um, thank you, Iĺl tell you if I need backup?"

He laughed softly. Ukyo spoke. "So thatś why Luiś forge disk is so weird," he said. "It came from a defense bey, even though his is attack."

Daigo frowned. "Wait. If he used to be Shuś boyfriend, what happened with that scar on his face?"

The scar he spoke about. THe one her brother covered with his hair until he won a match. Everytime he did, the albino looked straight at the cameras, sending a message to Lui.

I'm waiting.

"Shuś bey crashed into his face and burst," Robin said. An image of her brotherś horrified face flashed before her eyes. Lui was smiling terribly, the first of the shark-like smiles that he would see on him. "That was when Shu ended their relationship."

"How do you know all of this?" Ukyo tilted his head and ran his fingers through long blue hair. "Never mind. I get it. He used to be your friend, yeah?"

She nodded.

I gave him my real name. I thought we would be friends forever. That was stupid. Friends are not forever. No one is forever.

"Shu will not take this well," The blue-haired ninja warned. "This will not be good."

"Iḿ not taking this well either," Daigo growled, bandanna slipping lower on his face. He readjusted it as he continued. "I think we shouldn't tell him. He'll probably destroy stuff."

Robin snickered. "Him, destroy? Yeah, I don't think so."

The two males glared at her. "You weren't Shu as long as I was." Ukyo gestured towards a metal stand holding up a tent. It looked like it had a one-foot radius and ten feet tall, meaning twenty feet of solid metal across. "See that? He smashed through several of them at the dojo before Xander and Valt could get him to calm down."

Daigo finished that thought. "So we let him handle it. Valt, probably, will start yelling at Lui and cause a scene and get disqualified from the tournament if he learns about him. Okay?"

"Fine."

"Oh, cheer up," Ukyo chided, vanishing into the shadows. "You look like a petulant girl."

She pouted and crossed her arms. "I AM a petulant girl. And just wait until this petulant girl kicks your butt again."

He reappeared behind her and tapped her shoulder. "You may want to rethink that."

"Dang it!" She took a swipe at him, but he disappeared again. "Shouldn't we be going now?"

"Agreed," Daigo mentioned, pointing towards the boat. It was way closer than before, enough so they could see a flame-haired figure. "Actually, never mind, we're so dead."

Ukyo dragged them both out.

"AND OUR SPECIAL GUEST..." Zac yelled, trying to be heard over screaming fan-girls, " LUI SHIROSAGI!"

Well, chapter done!
