Chapter 2: Daigo

All the kids in the area went to Beigoma School. It was a three story building, a prestigious school that was really awesome. All the teachers were fairly nice, and the whole school was completely clean. There was even roof access, provided they didn't do anything inappropriate there. The first floor was for the elementary school. Second was for middle school. The third was for high school. From there, the graduates were sent to colleges all over the world.

He was already studying for a doctorate degree, but Daigo Kurogami had a long, long way to go.

Daigo went down the hall to his first class, yawning as usual. He had stayed up late reading about dragons and magic. Also, wondering about Robin. Just a little.

Yeah, sure Daigo.

Who asked you?

I did.

Daigo rolled his eyes. He opened his standard blue locker and started searching for his math textbook. The plain white floor trembled under his feet, and he glanced up in time to see a mini Sonic barreling at Daigo at a thousand miles per hour.

"Hey Shu!" Valt yelled, sprinting towards him, with the others at his side. "I'm finally early for once- oof." He hit the wall and fell backwards, but immediately jumped up again. "Let's go practice!"

"Can't," Shu said. "Have to get to advisory."

"No you don't! We're early!" Valt replied, tugging at Shu's hand. Daigo did not fail to notice the slight dusting of pink on Shu's face, and on Valt's as well. Doomscyther was suddenly active.

Shalt forever!

Since when did you become a fanboy?

Um... about 3.561209 seconds ago.

He closed his locker just as Shu said, "The bell is going to ring in one minute, Valt, so you really need to get to class."

I'm going to be late. Daigo took off running, leaving Valt and Shu confused and trying to remember when Daigo had gotten there.

He made it with twenty seconds left to spare. Considering Daigo had run across school campus in forty seconds, just getting to class was an accomplishment.

"Hello, everyone," the advisory teacher said cheerfully. " Today, I'm going to introduce you to a new student. Robin Kurenai, please stand up."

Daigo glanced around. A five-foot girl with chopped-short white hair, and hazel eyes stood up. She wore a black cotton hoodie with silver streaks on the arms, and the simple beyblade sign on the back. Her pants were dark purple, dark enough to be mistaken as black. Daigo notice that as she looked around, she seemed a bit shy, but there was a challenging look in her gaze when she saw anyone that looked her in the eye.

Her resemblance to Robin from Fire Emblem Awakening was a bit uncanny. Some people started whispering about whether she was a boy or girl, because her hoodie seemed to be specifically made to hide that.

"Nice to meet you, Robin," the advisory teacher said politely. Daigo didn't fail to notice she seemed a bit nervous. "Could you tell us a bit about yourself?"

Eyes staring around boldly, a change from the defensive look she had been giving the room, Robin spoke to the ground. Her voice was quiet, but it echoed. Weird. "I like turn based video games. Before I came here, I was taught at the Shakadera dojo." Then she sat back down, fingering the ends of her sleeves.

She said just about nothing. Everyone was staring at her, Wakiya in particular. He was the only one of my friends who had advisory with Daigo, and the only one who knew about the second Kurenai. That look in his eyes was amusement, but it faded as Robin turned in her seat. Her hazel eyes flashed in the dim lighting, and a boy's while hair swayed on phantom winds. She tilted her head up slightly, and a low growl barely hit his ears.  A challenge.

"Er, thank you Robin," the teacher said. "Now, if you need help, just ask any of the friendly people here."

Daigo glanced around. No one here was the definition of friendly. Some were giving the girl confused looks and the others, mostly the really muscular males, looked like they wanted to attack her.

She'll be dead by lunch, Daigo sighed. Compared to these guys, Robin doesn't have a prayer

I don't think so, actually. I think she can hold her own in a fight.

There was a fight in third period, or math. In the dark room, it was difficult to see, but Daigo kept a close eye on the new girl. She was sitting next to Wakiya, so he metnally geared himself for a fight. Wakiya made a snide remark about her clothes, which Robin growled at, but otherwise ignored. About a minute later, the rich blonde kicked her under the table and muttered some rude comment. Two desks away, Daigo couldn't hear, but he saw the girl's eyes flash.

A second later, Wakiya was tossed into the wall. A moment after, and Robin had her knee on his throat. Everyone's phone came out, likely to tape this epic school moment, but she backed up before it happened.

Daigo watched Wakiya stand up slowly. He was clearly really dizzy, but that was expected with that much power. "You-" he murmured the last part, and Daigo managed to hear this time. "Murderer."

Robin dropped her arms and was still.

She probably could have done worse but restrained herself. As it was, he heard both went to the principal's office. Wakiya was not seen until after school, and Robin received a warning of suspension. The next place she was seen was lunch.

When lunch came, she was one of the few people who didn't go to the food line. Robin headed to the far side of the cafeteria. Everyone started staring at her, and whispering, not bothering to pretend to disguise it.

Daigo rolled his eyes. People here could be such jerks sometimes. Maybe if he was a nice boi then he'd get some answers, and possibly some drama. Was it rude to use someone? Yes. Did he care?

No.

He grabbed his lunch tray, and headed over to Robin.

"Hi, can I sit here?" he asked.

Robin looked up, "Sure. Why?"

He sat down. "Because you seem a nice enough person." It was the truth. Wakiya had provoked her, not the other way around. Daigo tried some of the Monday Mystery Meat and gagged. "Ugh, what is this stuff?"

Robin smirked. "This is why I bring lunch. You're Daigo, right?" She took something out of her ear, and Daigo realized she had been listening to music the whole day.

"Yeah," Daigo said. "So, Shu's your brother, huh?"

Her eyes flashed dangerously, the way it had before she tossed Rich Idiot. "My name," she started in a deadly calm voice, "Is Robin. I am not Shu. Don't you ever compare me to him if you want to live." She flinched at the voice, probably realizing that she might need an ally here. "Sorry."

"I'm doing a really bad job being the 'welcome' guy, aren't I?"

"Eh. You're alright." Robin turned to look at him. "So what does Shu say about me?" She just sounded curious. Time for answers.

Daigo pretended to consider that. "He says that you tried to kill him, he doesn't think you have a beyblade, and basically hates you."

Most people hated the blunt truths. They said Daigo should "sugar coat" it. But Robin just grinned. Daigo was beginning to appreciate this girl. She wasn't as crazy as everyone else.

Maybe a little sanity would be good.

"Wanna know my side?" Daigo nodded. "Well, when we were two, Shu stole my doll, and I got pissed off at him, so I hit him. And then I knocked him into a sharp corner of a cabinet. And in my defense, Shu pushed me into that same cabinet before and never got hurt. Oh, and yeah, I'm a descendant. Also, I've got a beyblade, but I've never been in an official battle."

Daigo remembered the confused looks that Shu and Valt gave him that morning, like they hadn't noticed him. He remembered how when he tried to restore order to the group, no one noticed that. He wasn't actually a very important member, but annoying Shu was pretty fun...

You are a very bad person, Kurogami.

Well, look who's talking.

Well, here was that drama he wanted. Shu versus Robin would be pretty cool to watch. Hopefully she was decent, as he hadn't even seen the beyblade yet. Nevertheless, Daigo turned to the girl. "Do you want to join the beyclub?"

Enjoy~ please vote and get to the end! I'm aware thesr are unedited but I'm working on them. Sorry!
