Dear Queenie
Hey, Ashley. I'm Sydney, your author.
Yeah, I'm the one who came up with your story over the span of a few months, and took a long time trying to tell it. But God, I'm so glad it's done.
Not in a bad way, I loved telling your story and I loved making you, well, you. It's actually really bittersweet, like your final chapter with the OG WE Queens.
But you deserve an apology. Yes, you'll never meet me, and yes, you don't exist, but still. At first, your book was going to have a small amount of angst, but then I realized the capacity of angst and it took over.
You made me who I am. I wouldn't have been here if I hadn't met my friends, who I met on this website. Hell, my girlfriend's ABH inspired me to start your book, long before we even met.
You changed my life, for the better. When I was writing "The End of the Show," I was in a really bad spot mentally. But writing that there was someone there for you made me feel like there was someone there for me. And I was right!
Ashley, I love you. A lot. You're my first Adopted By kid, and fun fact! I never expected you'd be an Adopted By! I just wanted to write myself into SiX the Musical, but then along came you.
Your story changed my life. And I don't think it changed a lot of other peoples' lives, but you made me a Wattpad name. You're the one I wrote when I was in pain. In a way, your story was a weird kind of therapy for me.
If you ever really existed, I would've been your biggest fan. You're so brave and resilient and even though I created you, I look up to you. I'm so glad I was able to tell your story, throughout all the highs and lows.
Thank you, Ashley Seymour Paris, for being there. Thank you for helping me out. Thank you for being you.
I know you'll never read this, but I had to get this off my chest.
I love you,
Sydney
