Chapter 16: Oh My God
Yeonhwa gasped as the weight of the vision sank in. With trembling hands, she unraveled the cloth wrapped around her wrist, revealing the unmistakable "7" scar etched into her skin. The sight took her breath away.
In an instant, the world shifted, and she found herself standing in the presence of the seven brothers. Her heart raced as she met their astonished gazes, but before anyone could speak, the atmosphere transformed.
A brilliant light descended from the heavens, and from it emerged God in His human form. Radiating celestial light, His flawless features embodied perfection beyond mortal understanding. His lotus-petal eyes shimmered like the first blush of dawn, holding the wisdom of eternity, while His hair cascaded like the undulating waves of a deep, dark ocean. His skin gleamed with the ethereal softness of rain-laden clouds, and His flowing robes, seemingly woven from strands of sunlight, shifted in luminous hues with each graceful step. His smile brimmed with boundless compassion, and the divine aura encircling Him glowed in warm tones of gold and silver, emanating both sovereign authority and profound kindness. The very air around Him was imbued with a heavenly fragrance, a balm to the soul that uplifted and soothed in equal measure.
The seven brothers and Yeonhwa immediately knelt, bowing deeply in reverence. The very air seemed to hum with divine energy as His voice resonated through the realm, a melody of wisdom and grace.
"I am pleased with you all," God said, His voice like a symphony that soothed their souls. "You have faced your trials with courage, unity, and virtue, and you have passed the tests laid before you. For this, you shall ascend to heaven as demi-gods."
A warm smile graced His lips as He extended His hand toward each of the brothers, bestowing upon them their destinies.
"Jin," He said, His tone filled with pride, "you shall rule as the King of the Realm of Gratitude, spreading appreciation and joy to all who dwell there."
"Yunki," His voice turned serene, "you will reign over the Realm of Temperance, guiding balance and self-control."
"Hosung," He continued, "you shall govern the Realm of Humility, teaching the power of grace and modesty."
"Namjun," God's gaze softened, "the Realm of Patience shall be yours, where calm endurance will be a guiding light."
"Jimin," He said, a glint of warmth in His eyes, "you will lead the Realm of Charity, nurturing kindness and generosity."
"Taehyun," God's smile grew tender, "the Realm of Chastity is yours, a beacon of purity and devotion."
"And Jeongguk," His voice rang with certainty, "you will rule the Realm of Diligence, inspiring perseverance and hard work."
The brothers, humbled by their divine callings, spoke in unison, their voices filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Your Divine Majesty."
God's attention then shifted to Yeonhwa. His gaze was soft, yet powerful, as though He saw every part of her soul and loved it unconditionally.
"And Yeonhwa," He said, His words laced with deep affection, "you shall stand by their side as their Queen Consort, a bridge of unity, love, and strength between the seven realms."
The seven brothers stood motionless, their eyes fixed on Yeonhwa. The weight of everything they had endured and everything they now understood seemed to hang in the air between them.
Yeonhwa's steps were slow, hesitant at first, her heart pounding in her chest. Her hands clenched at her sides as if to steady herself. The golden light of God's presence still lingered, casting a soft glow around her. As she drew closer, their expressions shifted-astonishment giving way to something deeper, something unspoken.
Jin was the first to move. He took a single step forward, his eyes glistening. "Soyoung...Yeonhwa..." he whispered, his voice barely audible but heavy with emotion. "It's really you."
Her lips parted, and a tear slid down her cheek. "It's me," she replied, her voice trembling but filled with certainty.
Namjun, ever the steady leader, stepped forward next. His gaze softened as he reached out, his hand hovering just above hers. "We searched for you... for so long," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion. "And now, you're here."
Yeonhwa placed her hand over his, their fingers intertwining. "I was always with you," she said softly. "Even when I couldn't reach you as Soyoung... I never stopped believing in you."
Jeongguk, the youngest, couldn't hold back any longer. He rushed forward and enveloped her in a tight embrace, his face buried in her shoulder. "I missed you so much," he said, his voice cracking as he held her like she might vanish again.
Yeonhwa laughed through her tears, running her fingers through his hair. "I missed you too, Jeongguk. All of you."
Jimin approached, his usual sassy demeanor replaced by something tender. He gently cupped her face, his thumb brushing away her tears. "You've always been our light, Yeonhwa," he said, his voice low and filled with affection. "And now, you're here to shine with us."
Taehyun, whose composure often hid his vulnerability, stood before her, his hands trembling reaching to caress the scar on her wrist. "You're the reason we kept going," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "Even when it felt impossible."
Yeonhwa reached for him, pulling him into a hug. "You were my strength too, Taehyun," she said. "I drew from your hope, even when I thought I had none left during my time at King Sian's palace."
Yunki stood a step behind the others, his arms crossed as if guarding his emotions. But his eyes betrayed him, shimmering with unshed tears. "Took you long enough," he said, his voice teasing but thick with feeling.
Yeonhwa smiled and stepped toward him, wrapping her arms around his waist. "I always knew you'd be waiting," she whispered.
Hosung, stood with his hands clasped over his heart. When Yeonhwa turned to him, his gaze met hers with depth, "You look so beautiful..." He said as she approached him, placing her hand over his, gently caressing his hand.
"And you look so handsome, Hosung," she said, her voice gentle. "I felt your warmth and love in every step of my journey."
Hosung smiled, his voice steady as he replied, "And you've always been my voice when I had none."
The eight of them stood together, the space between them disappearing as they embraced, their bond stronger than ever.
Above them, the heavens seemed to respond to their reunion. A gentle rain of light descended, wrapping them in warmth. God watched from His place, a serene smile gracing His divine features.
"You have all found each other again," He said, His voice resonating like a celestial hymn. "This is the beginning of a new era, one filled with love, unity, and purpose."
The seven brothers and Yeonhwa, now whole and together once more, looked at one another with unshakable devotion. In their hearts, they knew they were no longer just a family-they were an eternal force, bound by destiny and love.
God's serene smile deepened, and His radiant presence filled the space with an unearthly warmth. "I bestow upon you my blessings of eternal joy and triumph," He proclaimed, His voice echoing like a celestial symphony. "Yet your journey is far from over. The mortal realm awaits your valor. Unite with Prince Yuhok, for together, you must confront and vanquish the Devil King."
The brothers and Yeonhwa knelt before God, His words filling them with both purpose and reverence.
Jin spoke first. "Your divine majesty, we are honored by your blessing. We will not falter in our mission."
God's glowing eyes softened as He regarded them. "Prince Yuhok has fought valiantly, but the devil king's power grows. Together, with your strength and unity, you will tip the scales in favor of light. Remember, the mortal realm will test you...its pains, fears, and sorrows may return. Yet, your bond will guide you through."
Yeonhwa looked up, her voice steady yet earnest. "We accept this mission, Your Majesty. But please, grant us the wisdom to overcome what lies ahead and the strength to protect the people of the mortal realm."
God extended His hand, and a golden mist swirled around them. "You carry within you my blessing and the love you share. Let it be your shield and your sword. Go forth, and remember...even in the darkest hour, light will always prevail."
