Chapter 17: Death Wishes

(Y/n) placed the filthied bucket under the tap, making sure to rinse the contents and clean her hands before using her palms to properly wash away the remaining crimson liquid with bleach. After finalising the washing up, she wiped her hands dry on her clothes before placing her palm against her forehead. She could feel her temperature has risen, not in response to the warm surroundings but the own anxiety of her body.

'God I'm going to make myself sick if I keep thinking about this...just stay calm (Y/n), simply do your work as best as you can.' Giving herself a final pump of motivation, the female turned the tap in the rotation that subsequently stopped its flow of water before looking down at the filled up, metal bucket. Despite its clean exterior and interior, she felt a shudder as shadows of a small figure still swam at the bottom of the pool.

The girl exhaled the thoughts away before taking the bucket by its handle, intending to use it as part of her cleaning supplies for the rest of the day. As she pulled on the heavy contents, she was surprised to hear the subtle creaking of straining metal. The female furrowed her brows at the sound of loosening hinges and screws, and before she had a chance to realise the inclination behind the hinting noises, she was surrounded by a cold spill that ran down below her knees, soaking her feet.

The female gasped, immediately letting the bucket fall from her grasp as she looked down to inspect the cause of the sensation. To her annoyance, she confirmed her legs and feet to be completely drenched in water, allowing her to gather the pieces behind the unusual audio. Looking towards the bucket, her eyes trailed along the bottom plate of the container, as well as the broken screws and bolts that had kept the cleaning item together.

Upon closer inspection, she assessed the state of the holder that no longer functioned as a holder, to see none of the hinges that kept the bucket together were broken, nor rusted to allow the breakage. 'This was done by hand...' She lifted up the metal, allowing the bottom panel to detach from its frail loose and clatter to the ground. The girl stared at the disarranged item with a dubious gaze, leaning towards the only explanation that was viable under the suspicious circumstances. 'Did he do this...?' Glancing at the bucket one last time, she exhaled to herself, proceeded to take off her sloppy shoes to allow her feet some semblance of dryness.

Looking around, she spotted a nearby storage closet where she could swap out her dysfunctional equipment with a new batch. Taking her drenched pair of shoes by the curl of her fingers, she lifted up the empty bucket and its separate parts to walk towards the neighbouring storage area. She attempted to sooth her pounding head with a few thoughts of encouragement, intending to turn to the brighter side of the situation.

'At least this was more harmless than the other instances. Maybe he got tired and just stopped altogether after this one.' Assuring herself with soothing hopes, the girl reached the door to the broom room where she laboured in turning the handle with her occupied hands. As she finally managed to pull the door open, she was greeted by the abyss of darkness that loomed before her. The entire area of the room shrouded in shadows as no light source permitted any sight beyond the threshold of the entrance.

The girl tried to peer into the closet of nothingness, unable to adjust her eyes to form any sort of shapes nor indications inside. She tried balancing the bucket under her chin with one arm, only for her entire organised structure to wobble and tilt with the risky movement. Her luggage of shoes, layers of the metal container and a few of her cleaning supplies would not permit her to spare a separate limb to search for a light switch on the wall.

Her best course of action would end up being to simply enter the room blindly in the unlit surrounding and arbitrarily place the unusable equipment away before she could shed some shine into the scenery. 'Gosh, it would be useful to have more than two arms in this situation...' She bitterly commented in her mind before beginning her approach into the blanket of shadows. Taking her first few steps onward, the female's hand suddenly gave in from the strain as one of her fingers loosened to allow a shoe to plummet down into the emptiness.

(Y/n) grunted as she finalised her decision to halt her lazy antics and simply place all her equipment down on the ground at the doorway, allowing her free hands to aid in the search for her fallen footwear. Crouching down to slide her hand around on the floor, she managed to sense a foreign material that contrasted with the wooden surface of the ground. As the female's eyes managed to make out the shape of her article of clothing, she reached out and took it; just barely noticing the small, shiny glimmer from the surrounding area catching her eye.

The girl furrowed her brow in confusion as to what the reflective item was. Stretching her arm out into the room, she followed the shimmer until she gently took hold of the object that had caught her attention, bringing it to the light of the doorway, and she peered at the mystery in hand before her breath hitches at the sharp edge, translucent surface and pointed rim.

'Glass?' The revelation resounded in her mind, bringing her a sense of wonder and bewilderment before another realisation took the place of all the bafflement. Until another speculative assumption surface, making the girl's blood run cold. The female decided to slide her hand against the wall, vigorously examining the space for a switch of some sort, making sure to keep her feet just beside the doorway. Managing to feel up a bump that indicated her successful find, she flicked on the switch to shed some light into the darkness.

As the bulb flashed on to illuminate the contents of the inside, her brain became paralysed by the sight. All across the floor were scattered numerous shards of glass; large, small, sharp, thin and thick. The girl could feel her feet freeze over. She stumbled away from the threshold until she felt safest at the distance gained. She stared at the hazardous decoration that had almost lacerated and damage the bottom of her bare feet.

She quickly put on her soggy shoes, uncaring whether they were still dripping with fresh water. Allowing herself to pant at the sight, she could almost replicate the sensation of the hundreds of pointed edges and small pieces digging into the soles of her naked feet. Her knees lightly trembled at the threatening indication and her mind tried to deny the intention behind the trap. As her eyes darted towards each, individual shred of glass, her heart beat was the only sound her ears could pick up.

'Was this his doing...?' Picking up her courage, the female approached the room with cautious steps, frightened a coveted surprise might emerge from any inch of shadow. Nearing the room, the girl watched the ground with fearful amazement as any step she took would undoubtedly land on any sticking out shard.

(Y/n) shakily placed the last of the broken glass inside the receptacle, frightened that any piece could magically come to life if her assailant had wished it to. She tightly tied the bag up before placing it to the side. Taking a deep breath to calm herself, the female inspected the rest of the closet for any hidden threats that could lurk within.

When she found nothing of interest or an anomaly, she allowed herself a moment to gather her composure. 'What is this guy playing at...?' The girl glanced inside the broom closet once more, debating whether she should actually take anything from the mysterious area. 'The last time I took something was from the same place as his trap. And then that led me right into another one...' She considered the possibility of any item in range of the storage room could be a possible hazard. Eventually, she shook her head at the consideration and decided to leave the room as untouched as possible.

Taking out her schedule as a form of distraction, she analysed the list of duties she had to perform. The girl then froze into a halt as she heard small taps of what she distinguished were footsteps. Turning her attention around, she saw no one trailing behind her, inclining that her mind simply mistook.

Focusing back on the path with a heavy heart, she maintained her ears perked and alert as she read through the schedule once again. 'My first task should be the dining area, so-' (Y/n) quickly spun around to meet with the emptiness of the corridor, her heart racing as fast as the footsteps that she could have sworn she heard.

Nothing. She remained accompanied by the presence of the thick silence. Only her own unnerved breathing filled the sulking atmosphere. She turned her head with great reluctance to the path ahead. Taking each step with a purposeful dragging pace, she listened out for any indicating noises.

Another pair of feet were heard. The female desperately wanted to swivel around and confront the company, however, felt her body protesting, conflicted with whether it's a safer bet to remain ignorant. Pushing the approach at the back of her mind, she attempted to conclude it to be simply the paranoia of her imagination.

Soon she found her body stiffening as the presence became more prominent, like an itch at the back of her mind. The closer they neared, the more distorted the placid atmosphere became as only the female's thoughts were left in her world. 'It's him...' Trying to steady her breath, she listened as the individual was no longer a few paces away, but right at her back.

She could feel her feet surrendering as the steps were walking in sync with her own. For a moment, she could swear a breeze was hitting her neck, as though someone was breathing down on her, forcing her eyes to widen.

'Oh God, please...' Her entire form had halted, any movement hampered by her instincts to simulate a dead-like state. Before her body could be forced to react as her mind urged her to, she felt a pressure on her shoulder as a hand grasped her muscle. The female spun around in an exasperated state, letting out a small shrill of fright. "No! Please don't-!"

The air was then filled with a reciprocating scream as a surprised voice reacted to her sudden outburst. (Y/n) stared at the person that had tailed her as their equally frightened yell died down, leaving a shaking body that inwardly retracted like a traumatised puppy. She watched the pair of orange eyes fill up with tears of intimidation, as the boy watched the girl with apologetic worry.

"Giovanni...?" She breathed out her disbelief with relaxing relief over the harmless boy's company. Just as she found a moment to unwind, she immediately was taken aback as the startled boy was nearing guilty and anxious tears. (Y/n) waved her hands in a dismissive attempt to calm the panicking male down. "H-hey man, sorry, did I scare you...?"

Despite her gentle and friendly tone, Giovanni continued shaking in his huddled state. The female could see his lips trying to form words, only for his attempts to fail as no sound would emerge from his voiceless breath. "B-b-b..." A few stutters managed to be annunciated, but nothing the girl could interpret. "B-b...Bon..." As his small vocals hushed out, the girl patiently waited with an encouraging gesture. "Bon-bon...Boungiorno!" He quickly shouted, darting away the second the word came out, surprising the female with his sudden escape.

"Hold it right there!" She commanded with loud volume, freezing the boy to the spot as he quivered, hesitantly turning around to meet the girl's stern gaze. Giovanni felt himself shaking at the authoritarian tone as the female regarded him with a strict expression.

The female slowly reached into her bag, careful not to disturb the jitteriness male before her. Giovanni watched with an agitated fearfulness, inverting into a cocoon of anxiousness as he fearfully watched the girl's hidden hand.

However, once the female revealed the bag of crisps that had been stored inside her belongings, the boy immediately ceased his cautionary trembles to stare at the plastic packet with great interest. As the girl shook the snack around to reveal the leftover contents of the food inside, Giovanni quickly perked up at the offering of goods.

"Ah! Perfetto!" He grabbed the plastic from the female's offering hand as he began munching on the gained snack. "Oh I love these! Thank you for sharing them with me." He joyfully chirped as he continued placing piece after piece in his mouth, while the female tried to figure how he had time to chew. The boy noticed the girl staring at him with an amused look that analysed him. "What?" His curious voice inquired as she chuckled at her long coming revelation.

"I guess you take the phrase 'comfort food' quite literally." The male gave her a quizzical tilt of the head at her comment. The female indicated towards the almost emptied bag of snacks to push across her point. "You seem to completely change your demeanour the moment food is involved." Giovanni bashfully smiled out of embarrassment before proceeding to eat.

"Yeah, I guess I am more accustomed to talking if I have something to eat around me." He gave her a dismissive smile, perpetuating his chewing on the new snack. The female remained thoughtful for a second before an enquiry entered her mind.

"You shouted something to me...something like...'Bonjour'?" She uncertainly commented as the boy showed a humoured smile.

"I said 'Boungiorno'. It means 'good morning'." He presented the insight to the girl, leading to another confusion over the period of time.

"But it's the middle of the day." The correction seemed to fluster the boy further as he automatically looked down with a discomforted gaze. He proceeded to look up to meet her eyes with a bashful smile.

"Well, it's morning somewhere in the world." His passive comment lightened the girl's mood with his light-hearted joking, making her relax in the once threatening environment. "Sorry, I tend to get my words mixed up when I'm nervous. It's also the reason I start speaking Italian, it's just a reflex." He excused himself.

The girl gave him a permitting grin, allowing his apology to pass, right before the sound of frantic rustling followed. Looking towards the boy, (Y/n) speculated onward as the male retracted his limb from the crisp bag with nothing in his hands. After a few more trials to extract any contents from the packet, he soon concluded the bag to be empty.

At the revelation, Giovanni immediately seemed to shrink in posture as he felt all his tranquil and comfortable self slipping back into a state of paralysed trauma. The girl attempted to lift his confidence up by easing a few friendly words out, to no avail as the male retracted back and began subtly shuffling away.

"U-uhm...I need to go...! A-a-" Stammering through each syllable, the boy slid away, careful not to propose any sudden movements that would emphasise his unsubtle escape. "A-a. Arrivederla!" He shouted from the large distance he had gained away from the girl before spinning around to dart the other way.

(Y/n) stared at his escaping form as she was left on her own to proceed the abrupt change in attitude. "Uh...bye?" She uncertainly waved towards the disappeared individual. (Y/n) stared at the empty corridor, uncertain of what her next course of action should be, only to find herself grinning at an epiphany that entered her track of thought. 'I should be at least glad that not everyone in this house is against me.' With the comforting thought standing to appease her mind, the girl headed toward her next area of work.

(Y/n) stood frozen at the door of the dining room, frightened to turn the handle as she could feel an instinctual warning itch the back of her brain. Her mind concocted what sort of threatening display might be presented to her in the dining room. The more she thought, the more she panicked. She could feel the lump in her throat growing with each second as she was torn between completing her duty, and avoiding a risky move.

Eventually, her obligations overpowered her paranoia, making the female grip the handle with stiff force before pushing the door open. "Take me!" (Y/n) stared at a dark haired individual as he lay on the table, atop of a silver platter as though presenting himself as a delicacy, holding his shirt open to reveal his naked skin that served to entice the arrived girl. Lilito's smooth voice and playful antics seemed to relax the female as she realised there was no danger yet to be alert from.

"Get down before you make a mess." Her scolding attitude made the boy pout in disappointment. He sat up on the table as he gave the girl an unamused look of discontent as he buttoned up his shirt into a more modest manner.

"Come on, couldn't you at least amuse me?" Moping at his failed attempt, the boy watched the female as she made her way around the room to inspect its state. "I had a silver tray prepared and everything, and you gave me no reaction." He sulked, spinning the silver platter between his hands out of grumpiness. He gave the girl an expectant look, hoping she would give him the satisfaction of a humoured response.

"I'm not cleaning that tray." She bluntly stated, scowling at the male to dismiss him of the idea.

Lilito replied with a cheeky smile as he hopped off the table to approach the inspecting girl. "Can you at least humour me next time. It's so boring here and you're my only ray of sunshine." He chirped with a refulgent smile to coax the girl towards his wishes.

(Y/n) raised an eyebrow at the counterfeit exaggeration before shrugging her shoulders in an inconclusive manner. "We'll see." Gazing over her environment, she let out a blithe sigh as she realised nothing in the room called for her cleaning attention. She stretched out her arms in a relieved manner before sitting herself down at the table. "Looks like I've got time to kill. There's nothing here that needs cleaning."

The boy hummed out his thoughtfulness as he assessed the female with an abstruse gaze. His ears soon perked as they detected a separate sound approaching their area. "Do you hear that?" He inquired, glancing towards the closed door as the girl gave him an inconclusive stare. Lilito placed a calculating and stern expression as his brain took action in deciphering each subtle sign. "Those harsh footsteps. That quick pace. That confident stride. It can only be once person..." His eyes showed a hidden challenged spark as he quickly glued himself to the wall, right beside the hinges of the door.

Lilito indicated for the confused girl to keep his shenanigans covered as he placed his index finger to his lips. As the door opened, his form remained hidden behind the rotating frame as another individual entered the area.

As soon as Akai noticed the girl's presence he seemed to backtrack on his intended stay. "Oh, are you working here? I'll come back later then." He prepared to turn around and allow the female the privacy to finish her work before (Y/n) uncertainly dismissed his concern, hesitant as she wondered what the playful hider was proposing to do.

"No, it's fine, I've got no work to do here so you can stay." She assured him with a furlough over his assumption as she waved him in.

"Yeah Aki~ come and join us." Lilito's knavish tone and contrasting coy smile registered through the newcomers turned back. Akai felt his hairs stand on end as he heard the dreaded sound of the door closing, leaving him trapped with the over-playful male's mercy.

"S**t!" He grabbed the nearest chair that he could reach, swiftly spinning around to point his object of defence towards the mischievous company. "F**k off! I'm leaving!" His loud voice burst through the air with an admonishing growl while the dark haired male simply batted his lashes at the undeceived boy.

"Come on neighbour! I want us to spend some time together as house mates!" Lilito stretched his arms out as he approached his prey, intending the hug the alert individual. "It's so boring, let's have some fun together~" He purred out his intents before he was immediately made to stay at a designated distance as Akai attempted a stabbing action with the chair.

"If you come anywhere near me I swear I'll shove this chair leg through your d**k hole until it comes out the other end. F**K OFF!" (Y/n) felt almost squashed under the weight of meaningfulness over the words while Lilito simply stared at the boy with a synthetic dreamy gaze.

"Oh my~ never tried that before. Maybe we really are a perfect match." As the boy's navy eye winked towards his assailant, Akai's last thin thread of untangling nerves snapped to allow his explosive side to take over.

"Don't mock me!" He threw the chair towards the male's direction who managed to dodge it with a newfound excitement. He looked at the seething boy with a playful smirk, satisfied with the achieved reaction.

"Aww, did I make you angry?" Akai's red eyes burned with malice and the female could almost feel the steam coming off of every pore in his body.

"Let's do something about that face." As a low, deep voice resonated into the disregarding boy's ears, he gave his attacker a confused look.

"But there's nothing wrong with it." He proudly declared with a gladsome smile before another chair came flying past his head, to smash against the wall into unsalvageable pieces.

"That's the problem." The boiling male loomed over the unconcerned boy that calculated each and every move that would follow in the next few seconds.

"Oh no, don't do that!" (Y/n) pleaded from the sidelines as chairs and platters were hurled across the table where the troublemaker had jumped over. Lilito spun and giggled as he successfully managed to remain unhurt from the accurate throws, relishing in the negative attention he was claiming over his assailant. "No, that'll take time to-" A tray of glasses smashed to the floor. "Please, I'll have to-" Numerous potted plants scattered their earthly compost on the carpet. "No! That's making my job-!" The entire table ended up flipped over in an attempt for Akai to reach his nuisance.

Lilito quickly skipped around and twirled out of reach from clawing hands before managing to manoeuvre past the attacker to escape through the door and take the conflict to another area. "I'LL F**K YOU UP!" Akai screamed past the doorway with a meaningful coat of malevolence.

"My body is ready for you, Aki~!" The playful male's voice echoed towards him, making Akai let out a growl that made every item shake with fear before running after taunter.

(Y/n) listened as the fast footsteps disappeared from the destruction. She looked around at the room that had been turned completely upside down. She silently began picking items up and solemnly placing them in a trash bag, internally crying and screaming as she felt like outwardly complaining about the situation was too much of an obvious response.

'God, these inconsiderate pricks!' She huffed out as she spitefully placed the last of the bags of smashed items outside. 'How are they allowed to just do this kind of stuff?! If I even damage a book in school, I'll get temporary exclusion!' Complaining over each aspect that forced her to heave out the unneeded objects, the girl finally felt her nerves settling after her full hour of nothing but abhorrent wishes. 'Calm yourself: 80, 74, 70, 62, 54' As she counted down her level of anger to a single digit that represented nothing, she exhaled before shaking her head and her negative thoughts out. 'Is it always going to be this much of a mess every time those two are together...?'

The girl headed inside where she looked over her schedule to return to her own work.

'The outside area? I guess that's somewhere like the garden.' Looking over her map the female was lead towards the back of the building where she managed to navigate herself towards the exit that led to the rear of the house.

As she stepped outside the girl was graced with the warm air and sunny rays sieving through the branches of trees to the thin layer of grass. Stepping out into the clearing, she assessed the tranquil environment, looking over to a small house to the side which, she assumed to be a shed. The light movement of leaves could be heard as they swished past each other in the wind, and the small chirps of birds and crackles of insects paired up to create another composed world.

'It's so nice out here, but there's nothing I can really find to do. I should ask Nori when I get the chance on what exactly I'm supposed to work on...huh?' The girl's ears managed to pick up on a rumbling that resonated into the distance. As she perked her ears to further catch the noise, bringing about an impetus approach as the girl's form began moving on its own accord, fuelled by curiosity.

As she strayed further from the house and into the thicker layer of trees, she confirmed the rumbling and fast humming to be up ahead of her. Taking each step with caution, she stopped as she noticed an inordinate item placed on one of the trees. Approaching the trunk, she discovered a paper stuck to the face of the plant which greeted her with an all too familiar message:

'Die'

(Y/n) furrowed her brow as she looked back towards the path. The sound was definitely getting louder. As disconcertment took over her thoughts, she continued on, with the note still stuck at the back of her mind.

However, the writing no longer only remained in her thoughts as it morphed into reality the moment she was lead closer to the droning noises. The girl frantically glanced around herself as everywhere she looked, every tree she glimpsed on and every way she spun, there seemed to be a paper with the same wishful harm that haunted her throughout the journey. Each tree had its own note, surrounding the girl with her death wish as the thick branches overshadowed her form into a cornered state.

(Y/n) looked every which way. And all she could allow her eyes to linger on was the hopes of her demise. She stumbled backwards as she felt her heartbeat pounding against her ribs. Her mind tried to comprehend the intent behind this action as all the papers formed a blanket to remind the girl of an individual's wretched wish, as she leaned against a tree to prop herself up for support.

Through her thick thoughts, a familiar sound managed to penetrate her mind and past her bewilderment. Looking behind her towards the general direction of the growling sound, she nearly let out an audible gasp as she was forced to pluck herself away from the trunk she had taken shelter over and stumbled back before her body trembled to the ground.

Upon the large tree she had previously taken refuge against, she looked towards each shoot, each large, wooden stick coiled with rope as it draped down from each branch. Looping around the necks of rag dolls.

(Y/n) stared wide-eyed at the rag toys. Every one lazily stitched together, with their limbs barely hanging to their limp bodies. The filthy cloths serving as their vessel as their physical characteristics resembled the female's own image disturbingly accurately. (Y/n) could only gape at the scene as her body felt tense as she stared at each (e/c) button while it stared back.

And as she scanned her fearful eyes over the tree, she finally noticed a lone rope hanging down in front of the growth. With the opening of the not made much too large for a doll to hang on to. As it remained empty and untouched, the gap watched the girl with an expectant presentation. It's size specially made to hold a human body, and politely prepared. For her.

The girl placed a hand around her throat as she could almost feel the noose around her neck. As she shuffled back in an attempt to get her numb feet to work once more, she felt her palm pushing against a thick strand. Looking towards the disturbance with a surprised hiss, she saw that it was a hidden piece of rope that was stretched out over the grass, seeming to become inconspicuous as it disappears into the earth.

'I would have nearly tripped on this...' She concludes in her mind, giving the rope only the slightest of tugs to test its purposes out. Her mind immediately prioritised back to the original sound that had led her to the area in the first place as she quickly noticed the loud growl and buzzing approaching her form.

The girl instinctively pushed herself back as the disturbance landed on her empty spot. The droning of an engine and buzzing of blades brought the girl's attention to the underlying trap. (Y/n) could only gape at the chainsaw that was rattling against the ground as its blades spun in an incomprehensible speed. She thought about herself being the target it had landed on and all she dared to truly imagine was blood splattering over the trees.

Shuffling away from the roaring item, she shakily managed to get to her feet before approaching the tool with caution as though it had the ability to bounce up and attack her. She twitched as she reached out to stop the mechanic, retracting at intervals before building up enough bravery to touch it.

She allowed her silent surroundings to engulf her form as she was relieved to finally remain in a still environment. The more she kept staring at the chainsaw, the heavier her realisation became. 'This guy...is serious...' She looked around the notes that would have spelt out the consequences. The girl then gazed towards the large building that was peeking through the covetous branches.

'That's it...' Fed up, the girl walked towards the central passage where she prepared to ascend the stairs. 'I can't take this anymore...I'm not some toy you can hang a noose around.' As she was about to take her first step toward the upper floor, she noticed an individual descending with a defeated posture. "Zak? Is there a problem?"

The girl steadied her frightened anger and looked towards male that simply gave her a dismissive smile. "It's nothing, honestly. It's just, ever since Master Eban was sent to the hospital Master Gennai has been refusing to go to school today. And he recently locked himself up in his room and keeps warding me off." He gave out a stressed sigh at the inconvenience of the situation as he reminded the girl of an obvious concern that she had shamefully forgotten about.

"Ah, what happened to Eban?! Is he ok?" She spoke in a concerned tone, hoping to rush the male for answers.

"He was taken to the hospital and he stayed the night. I only heard from the Dean that he's fine but will need to remain under supervision for a little while." The female gave a relieved sigh before bidding the male her farewell before looking back towards the stairs where she knew she would be met with a locked door.

"I shouldn't really be giving you these but..." Nori handed the girl the keys she had requested and gave him a forced, composed smile.

"Well, that room has to get cleaned somehow and I need to fight back against his resistance." She laughed through her bluff as the older male seemed slightly sceptical.

"Well I wish you all the best of luck, Master Gennai can be -admittedly- quite a pain. He doesn't take too kindly to people who aren't his brother so keep your wits sharp." The girl gave him a nod at the support.

"Will do. Thank you." The female prepared herself to leave when she felt a surface pressed her head and lightly ruffling her hair.

"Please do be careful." (Y/n) looked at his concerned smile with a flustered gaze, concluding he had peeked through her facade.

"What? I ugh...don't think cleaning a room needs this much support-"

"I've been through your years too (Y/n)." She relaxed her body as her head hung low, avoiding his sight as she kept her solemn features to the ground. "I know that smile and attitude hide something deeper. Whatever you're planning to do I can just hope you don't cause yourself too much trouble." The girl felt her head chill as the hand that had rested finally lifted once the man began walking away to perform his own business. "We'll discuss your schedule later then. Good luck."

(Y/n) was left to continues staring at the floor as the male's words echoed in her mind. She felt her courage failing her as her only driving force was fear. Fear over the next day she would have to come in. Fear over her mother's troubles once she would return. Fear of allowing herself to be played with. Fear of having done the dangerous male wrong.

She soon found herself in the corridor that led to her harasser. As she paced herself towards his bedroom, she could feel her body protesting and screaming for her to retreat.

'I refuse. I can't allow myself to put up with this. I can't allow this to become part of my job. This guy...I can't understand him. What problem does he see?!' As she stood in front of the door, her shaky hands managed to miss the lock a few times before it finally fit in. She hesitated in turning the key. 'This guy...I can't understand him. What point is he trying to put across?!' She swiftly rotated the key until a confirming click was heard. 'This guy...I can't understand him. What is he trying to gain with this?!' She pushed the door open with her last slither of bravery and allowed herself the passage to the inside. 'This guy...I-'

The girl stared at the male who had his back turned to the door, giving her the disadvantage of not seeing what he was doing. Gennai soon perked his body straight as he realised the open entrance, making the girl gulp as she was detected. A moment passed as the female kept staring at his back as he showed no other response. However, soon he froze the girl to the bone as he glanced at her with his sharp, golden eyes.
