After they kissed they were both walking around on cloud 9. They'd only kissed once or twice more but Betty didn't want to make Jughead sick as Betty was still sick but felt way better and assured jughead she would be fine for him to go home. "Juggie! I promise if I need anything you'll be my first call" she smiled as they stood at the front door. "Promise?" He said, still not sure about leaving her on her own. "I promise" she said and he leaned down to kiss her again, softly. "I'll call you later" he said and left her house. As soon as the door shut behind him Betty collapsed back onto it with a silly grin on her face: he'd kissed her, they'd kissed. She couldn't help the butterflies in her tummy every-time she thought about it.

When jughead made his way into the Whyte Wyrm his friends could tell something was up. "Why are you all smiley?" Sweetpea said as jughead sat at the table with them. "No reason" jughead smirked. "It's Betty isn't it?" Fangs guessed. "Of course it's Betty! He never smiled before Betty" Toni teased. "We... maybe... kinda kissed" jug admitted, smiling again. "Yes!" "Called it!" "Finally!" The others said. "I'm happy for you Jug... Betty's amazing" Toni smiled. "Yeah She is" Jug Agreed.

That evening as Betty was getting ready for bed her phone went off with a message from jughead:

Jug: Hey Betts! How you feeling? Xx
Betty: a lot better thank you! Xx
Jug: I'm glad! Does that mean you're coming into school tomorrow? Xx
Betty: yep! Xx
Jug: great! I'll pick you up! Sweet dreams Juliet xx
Betty: goodnight juggie xx

The next Morning as promised jughead picked Betty up for school. She opened the door with a smile on her face and instantly leapt into his arms. "Good morning to you too" he laughed as he kissed the top of her head. "Morning juggie" She chirped. "How you feeling today?" He asked as he watched her grab her school bag and make her way to the door. "A lot better, still slightly achey but better" she smiled. "I'm happy to here it, let me know if you start to feel worse" he said as he laced their fingers together and they started their walk to school.

Just before they got to the school Betty dropped his hand and he stopped and looked at her in confusion. "Betts? Are you okay?" He asked and Betty looked up at him nervously. "I... I wasn't sure if you wanted anyone to know we're together" she whispered, looking at her feet. "Oh baby... of course I do and besides I already told the serpents" he said as he tilted her chin up and kissed her firmly. "Even if I have a reputation of being a nobody?" She asked. Jughead just took her hands in his and said "Elizabeth Cooper, you are the smartest, most gorgeous, kindest human being on this planet... will you be my girlfriend?" He asked with a cheeky smile. Betty nodded. "Only if you'll be my boyfriend" she beamed. "I'd be honoured" he smiled and kissed her.

Throughout the day Betty heard whisperings in all her classes about her and jughead but for once it didn't bother her because she had the serpents looking out for her. At lunch he was waiting outside her class with a bag of lunch for her. "Hey gorgeous, shall we eat in the blue and gold?" He said and she nodded letting him lead her there. "I know you won't go to the cafeteria and I want you to eat so I brought your lunch for you" He said as they sat on the couch in the blue and gold. "Thank you juggie you didn't have to" she smiled as he leaned her head on his shoulder. "It was nothing, Are you feeling okay?" He asked, his arm coming around her, he was so loving it made her heart burst. "I feel okay, tired but okay" she said and smiled when he kissed her Forehead. "Thanks for looking out for me juggie" she said after a while and he squeezed her closer. "Anything for my girl".
