The next morning, Betty woke up in her bed, with the small pink stuffed octopus that jughead had won her at the carnival. The Memory brought a smile to her face. It was a Sunday and Betty had homework to do before the next day, so she got out of bed and went downstairs to make breakfast. While she was waiting for her eggs to cook, she grabbed her phone and saw a message from jughead:

Jughead: Good morning beautiful! I had an amazing day yesterday! I have a busy morning but hopefully I'll see you later! Love you <3

The message made her heart flip and she quickly text back:

Betty: Good morning! I had a great day too! I'm just doing some homework today so I'm basically free all day, maybe see you later. Love you too<3

After that she put her phone down and plated up her breakfast. An hour later, Betty was sat at her dining table, surrounded by textbooks and doing her homework. She was getting slightly stressed with the amount of work that she needed to complete, but she stayed focused and powered through.

Betty didn't know how long she was working for, her she hadn't noticed her phone buzzing on the side, or the amount of missed messages she had gotten so when her doorbell rang, she was surprised, as she wasn't expecting anyone. She got up and her face lit up when she opened her door and her boyfriend was on the other side. "Hey" she smiled. "Are you Okay?" He asked and she furrowed her brow in confusion. "Yeah I'm fine. Why?" She asked. "I've been texting and calling you and you haven't replied" he said. "Oh  So sorry! I've been working and I lost track of time, my phones on the side" she apologised. "It's okay baby, as long as you're okay" he smiled, leaning forward to kiss her hello. She stepped aside and let him in, watching as he walked into the kitchen. "Woah betts, you really have been busy" he laughed, looking at all the books on the table, she blushed and he chuckled again. "Not that I don't love having you here, but I thought you were busy this morning?" She said. "Yeah I was working at the garage with my dad, but we finished Earlier than i expected so I came straight over" he smiled, pulling her into his arms. "Well I'm glad" she grinned. "Can you take a break from working? I want to take you for lunch at pops" he said. "Yeah I can take a break" she nodded. "Great!" He smiled.

"Tomorrow morning, I need you and Toni in the blue and gold room so I can talk to you both about joining the paper and tell you about how it all works" Betty said to him as she was cuddled up in his side, in a booth at pops and sipping on a vanilla milkshake. "Okay babe" he said. "I'm so happy you're joining! It's so stressful dealing with it all on my own" she sighed. "I can imagine" he said, kissing her head. "Do you want me to stay over tonight?" He asked. "I'd love you too" she smiled. "But you have a home Juggie with your dad" she added. "He understands betts" he said with a sad smile. "I'll be okay juggie" she assured him. That night when Betty was home and tucked up in bed, she got a message from jughead:

Jug: goodnight gorgeous! I love you! <3

The message brought a smile to her face and she quickly sent one back before putting her phone down and falling asleep.

The next morning, jughead woke up earlier than normal so he could pick up Toni and head to the bleh and gold where they would meet betty. "God! How does Betty get up this early every morning?" Toni groaned when he met her at her trailer. "I have no idea" jughead sighed. "Can we stop off at pops and grab some coffee first?" Toni asked before they started walking to school. "Yeah, We can grab breakfast as well, I'm sure betts has forgotten to eat" jughead said. Even though jughead was half asleep, he was happy to be helping Betty with the blue and gold because he got to spend more time with her and help her be less stressed. Toni and jughead grabbed some breakfast and coffee from pops before making their way to the school. They found Betty sat at her desk, typing something on her laptop. "Hey guys!" She smiled when she spotted them. "Hey betts" Toni waved. "Morning baby" jug smiled, kissing her quickly. "We brought breakfast and coffee" Toni announced. "I got you a hot chocolate though" jughead told Betty, knowing she didn't drink coffee early in the morning. "Thanks Guys" Betty grinned. As they ate Betty told them all about how the blue and gold worked and their schedules. They agreed to meet back up after school to discuss article ideas.

After lunch, Betty had gym. She also shared this class with Toni so she didn't mind. After getting changed into her gym kit, she went into the gymnasium where people were running laps and stretching. Gym class was normally pretty laid back and the coach only really cared about the football team. As Betty was stretching, she saw Cheryl and her minions walk over to her, causing her to stiffen. "Well, well, Well" Cheryl started. "Why even bother coming to gym? You're too fat, no amount of running can help you" Cheryl sneered. Betty's eyes welled up with tears but didn't say anything. "I mean look at you! I have no idea how you even have a boyfriend.." Cheryl started, Betty saw Toni walking towards them, a concerned look plastered on her face. "He's probably just using you! You're a serpent slut!" Cheryl spat and was cut off by Toni. "HEY! DO NOT TALK TO HER LIKE THAT! UNLESS YOU WANT TO SEE WHAT ITS REALLY LIKE TO GET ON THE WRONG SIDE OF A SERPENT!" Toni yelled. Betty felt her breathing becoming faster and when she looked around everyone was staring at the scene. Not knowing what else to do, she ran out of the gym...
