The next few weeks Betty was so happy. She finally had friends and the most loving boyfriend. One night she had a nightmare and couldn't calm herself down. She knew she needed Jughead. He didn't answer his phone and she assumed he was asleep and she didn't know where he lived apart from in Sunnyside trailer park so she couldn't go to him. Sighing she got out of  bed, threw on slippers and a coat and decided to go for a walk down to Sweetwater River to calm herself. Sweetwater River had been a comfort for Betty over the years after her parents and sisters death, the sound of the water soothes her and the fresh air made her breath and cleared her head. She was aware it was around 4am in the morning but she'd left her phone at home; she moved over to a giant rock and sat and watched the morning sun flicker through the trees as the sun rose.

Jughead woke up in the morning with two missed calls from Betty at 3am and some texts:

Betty: hey are you awake?💗
Betty: Juggie?
Betty: sorry if I woke you... never mind

Jugheads heart was racing; why was she awake at 3am and what could be wrong? He called her back and text her but she didn't answer and after an hour he got dressed and rode his bike to her house. She didn't answer the door so he climbed up the ladder and opened the window. He didn't see Betty but he saw her phone. He sighed and searched the house for her. When he couldn't find her he started to panic and called the others.

"Okay Toni you stay here incase she comes back and me fangs and Sweetpea will go looking for her" Jughead said as they all spilt up. "We should go to pops" fangs said. They searched all the places they thought she would be but she wasn't there so they went back to Betty's house. It was around 8am now and school was starting soon. "What should we do?!" Fangs said, everyone scared for Betty. Before anyone could answer they spotted walking down the road in pyjamas. "Betts!" Jug yelled running to her and wrapping her up in his arms. "Juggie? Guys? What's going on?" Betty asked confused. "You didn't answer us and you weren't home? Are you okay? Why did you call me at 3am?" Jug asked as Betty let them into the house. "Oh.. I erm.. had a nightmare and couldn't calm down. So I went to Sweetwater it calms me" she said sheepishly. "Sorry for scaring you" she added. Jughead breathes a sigh of relief. "It's okay babe. As long as your okay" he smiled and kissed her cheek. "Go on and get ready for school" he smiled and she made her way upstairs.

At school Betty didn't have any classes with any of the serpents today so they day was dragging. When lunch rolled around she made her way to the blue and gold and started to work. "Hey gorgeous" jug said from the doorway holding two lunch trays. "I brought us lunch" he smiled and placed a tray in front of he before sitting next to her and eating his own lunch. "Thanks juggie" she smiled. Jugehead watched Betty as they eat, and she seemed a bit down. "Are you Okay baby?" He said and took her hand. She sighed and turned to look at him. "Yeah, just tired" she said and he moved to pick her up and place her in his lap. "Because of your nightmare?" He asked and she nodded into his chest. "Yeah. It was about my sister and left me all shaken" she cried softly and his heart broke. "Shh.. it's okay" he comforted. "I'm sorry for not answering" he said. "It's okay I didn't expect you too I just wanted you, you make me feel safe" she admitted and he smiled. "I'm glad Betts" he said and stroked her hair. "Jug?" She said. "Yes?". "Will you stay over tonight?" She asked shyly and he moved her head so he could kiss her lips. "Of course I will".
