Evan pov

We just got off the bullhead and the first thing we saw was shade academy. I was a little in awe of bhow the place was made but was brought out of my thoughts by Jane.

Jane: Are you ok?

Evan: Yeah. Just a little im awe.

Jane just giggles at my response.

We walked towards the campus and ended up bumping into someone.

Evan: I'm sorry.

???: Nah, don't sweat it. I wasn't looking. Hey you guys look different.

Evan: Uh, yeah were transfer students. Do you know where the headmasters office is?

???: Actually your in luck I was actually on my there to meet up with my team. Oh the names May.

Evan: Evan Bledsoe.

Jane: Jane Arc.

May: Well its nice to meet you guys. Come on follow me.

Timeskip

We were at headmasters office and surprisingly the headmaster was a mistress. What surprised me more was that she was a faunus too.

Headmistress: Ah, you must be Mr. Bledsoe and Ms. Arc.

Evan: Thats correct...

Headmistress: Well I'd just like to say that it's a pleasure to have you here.

Jane: Thank you. We appreciate it.

Headmistress: Now I under that your nervous so just for future reference, my name professor Iris. And incase your curious, I'm a wolf faunus. Just so were clear I will not deal with discrimination, in my academy, got it.

Evan: We understand. But you won't have any discrimination coming from us I can assure you. Since well...were actually friends with a faunus.

Iris: Well thats good to hear.

After that short conversation we ended up meeting the other teams. They were an interesting bunch. Jane was a little nervous at first but managed to get a short conversation in with them. I could tell she didn't really trust them fully but I know that's not going to stop her.

Professor Iris told us about our initiation to get into Shade which was to win a fight against a couple of students. It won't be difficult for me since I have a good amount of combat experience but Jane was a bit nervous, I managed to calm her down by putting a hand on her shoulder.

Evan: So if you don't mind me asking when is our initiation?

Iris: It's in an hour. I'll have a couple of my students guide you to the arena once you get ready.

Jane: Ok thank you.

After that a couple of people from team NDGO showed us around they were quite the interesting bunch.

Nebula: So, what brings you guys to shade?

Evan:...Just thought it'd be better here you know.

Nebula: Ok....

Me and Jane figured it'd be best to keep what happened in vale a secret until she was ready. So we had to act like nothing was wrong.

Short Timeskip

Right now is our initiation. I was getting my armor on when I saw Jane cry quietly.

Evan: Hey hey hey, what up?

Jane: I don't know if I can do this.

Evan: Don't say that, you can do this.

Jane: How do you know?

Evan: Because I believe you can. And you should believe in yourself too.

Then out of nowhere, she hugged me which I happily returned.

Jane: Thank you.
She said with tears rolling down her cheeks.

Evan: Anytime.

Once we were finished getting ready we head to the arena for our initiation.

Timeskip after the fight cause the author is lazy and can't come up with fight scenes.

After we won the fight the headmistress took us straight to our dorm room. When we got in it was pretty spacious. Had two beds a small kitchen and had an AC which I'm honestly not surprised by that since Vacuo is mostly a desert region. So it only makes sense to have an AC in your dorm room.

Iris: This will be your dorm room for the remainder of your time here at Shade. Remember classes start tomorrow, please don't be late. I've already uploaded your schedules into your scrolls.

Evan: Thank you.

Iris smiled at us, nodded then left.

Out of pure instinct I decided to hop in bed. I was about to close my eyes and rest but I noticed jane sitting on her bed looking down at the ground. So I got up went up to her and sat next to her.

Evan: Still having some trouble?

Jane: You have no idea.

Evan: Look why not just rest for now? Ok?

Jane: Ok..

So I decided to gently pull her in bed with me and pulled her into a hug. Then I noticed that she was quietly sobbing with her head buried in my chest. So I just held her tighter while shedding some of my own tears. We Stayed like this until we let sleep overtake us.

Evan: (Don't worry Jane, I'll help you no matter what.)
