Dear citizens of Illea, I write this with a heavy heart. Our youngest, Prince John, was found dead last Monday, murdered. We are unsure who exactly caused his death, but we have reason to believe it had to do with our notorious neighbors, the southern rebels. Our whole country grieves over his loss. I will keep you updated on the investigation.

An Elimination took place earlier this week, the first of the Selection. The unfortunate ladies going home were ladies: Ava, Soña and River. We wish them the best of luck in those next chapter in life, and cross our fingers for the remaining ladies. As it has been said famously in the book, Hunger Games throughout this year, "May the odds be ever in you favor."

The Selection Greetings ball went great, with much great festivities going on. The Queen has reported that "The Selected have learned remarkably well,  excelling my expirations. Well done, ladies."

It has been determined that dear John's funeral well take place next Sunday (not in really time, I'll put up the chapter when) and only the royal family and the Selected will attend.
