Far Far Away in an Imaginary Land.

There is a Cursed Kingdom named Illis. A land inbued with Magic and all manner of wealth, it's beautiful and plentiful in all ways but one. All it's people are cursed. Every single one, from the King to the countrymen, are cursed as are YOU.

The Kingdom is in a state of unrest because our poor princes can't get a bride. All the other Royal families don't want their descendants to be cursed and have rejected all offers of marriage. So a magic raffle has been set up all over the kingdom to select ladies to compete for the princes' heart. Since you were not born royalty you are going to be tested and groomed to become a worthy of the title princess.

A wrinkle in this plan is that the King's advisor is out to get the royals and selected. The monarchy has been working to end slavery in the kingdom, and not everyone approves. The head Advisor plans to take the kingdom by force and turn its people against them. It's rumored he sabotaged the previous attempts at finding a bride for the princes. There may be unusual accidents, seiges on the castle, and bad press throughout the kingdom. If you get close to the princes you may be bribed to kill them. Not everyone will survive.
