Capricorn!!!! Although don't take her personality as well, that's waaaaay different!

Fridays at Zodiac Academy were always rather different. Aquarius told Taurus that Friday's were known as Choice Day, and were a lot more fun than the other days. For the first four periods of the day, there were different topics that you could do something in. For example, in the STEM group, they would make robots and code for them, and in the Art group, they could create snow globes out of Mason Jars. There was always something new every Friday, so you could change the group every time. The last three periods of the day were called 'Caste System'. The kids with 97%+ averages through the whole school would go to an ice cream social for the rest of the day. The other kids, depending on their grades, would have other activities and fun stuff to do. Overall, Friday's were always something to look forward to, as long as you worked hard.

Since Taurus had only just arrived, she didn't have any grades yet, but she could still attend the social, which is what all new kids were allowed to do. Aquarius was a straight A-plus student, so both the girls would party together. Taurus wasn't sure if Aqua was excited anymore, having gone to the social every week, but Taurus was pumped and ready.

During the day, Taurus went for cooking club, where she made and ate chocolate strawberries. The club would always make snacks and foods for the afternoon's social, so everything was always fresh and handmade. Even though she was the only GT kid in cooking club, Taurus and the five other kids in the club had the times of their lives.

At 12:30, everyone was called to the auditorium foyer, where each person would be put in their group. Taurus hurriedly put her things in her locker and rushed to the foyer. Before long, everyone was in their assigned groups and going to their destination.

Taurus and Aquarius laughed the whole way to the gym, where the social would take place. They giggled, talking about random things quite loudly actually. They didn't even bother to give the other kids, who were glaring at the two, a time of their day.

One kid muttered, "GT kids think they can do whatever. It's always GT that gets everything. And they don't even give us a second."

Another nodded. "So true! Like, it's as if they are on a different planet that we can't touch. School treats them the same way, so why wouldn't they do that?"

A boy groaned and exclaimed, "Look guys. They think they are so cool, not even bothering to listen to our complaints."

Aqua rolled her eyes and groaned at the boy. "Every day, Michael. I'm sorry that I'm gifted. And if I want to treat life like its a party, then I can do it. Why don't you and your little kiddy friends go play elsewhere?" She shooed them with her hand and turned to Taurus. "I swear they are jealous. And it's SO ANNOYING!" Aqua threw her hands into the air in irritation.

Taurus frowned. "Well, maybe they have their reasons. It does seem that GT kids get everything. After all, every GT kid just got a pass into the social. And we don't even get yelled at in PE. I don't know about the coaches here, but at my old school, they got upset about EVERYTHING. The coaches here seem to be pretty chill with us."

Michael frowned. "It's just you guys! They get upset at us for walking even one step. You guys could walk the whole way and be okay."

Taurus pointed a finger at Michael. "Have you heard of what happened with Coach Robertson?"

Michael nodded vigorously. His eyes suddenly lit up. "You were the one who knocked him out?!"

Taurus blushed slightly. "Well, I actually didn't do anything much."

One of the kids from earlier, the girl, smiled at Taurus. "OMG, you are so cool! They tried to keep it in, saying it was no big deal, but he got FIRED!!! I mean, come on! How do you expect us not to spread this?!"

Taurus laughed nervously. "That's a prime example," she said, pointing a finger at nobody in particular. "He legit threw Capricorn & Virgo when they refused. It's kinda odd. I mea-"

Aqua interrupted. "Hey Sherlock! Watson here just thought of something. What if this whole favoritism thing had something to do with Coach Robertson's behavior the other day?"

Taurus thought for a moment. "They are opposites though."

Aquarius suddenly burst out. "T! What if Coach Robertson was supposed to be kind to us, but he wasn't, so he got fired."

Taurus looked at Aquarius, eyes wide with excitement. "Yes, that's it! But he really wanted us on those treadmills. There's something about them."

The girl stuck a finger up. "Not to interrupt, but it seems you should go investigate down there. I bet there's a clue over there."

Aqua smiled. "That's a great idea Kylie! Tau, we should go down there during the social! They won't say anything, since we are GT and social approved. What do you say, T?"

Taurus looked dead ahead. "That could work. But I think the teachers behaviors are peculiar. I want to investigate that first."

Aqua frowned. "But T! Where will we go?!"

Taurus shook her head. "The social. I bet you anything that Cancer, Capricorn, & Virgo know exactly what is up with this strange school."

When everyone arrived at the gym, they ran off, splitting into different directions. Taurus however just stood there, gaping at the scene in front of her. "Whoa." she gasped, mouth agape.

Aqua grinned at Taurus. "Welcome to the Friday social, T!" With that, she took off in some direction, leaving Taurus alone to take in the whole atmosphere.

The social wasn't anything like Taurus ever experienced. The lights were out, a strange purple light in place that gave the whole gym an ominous glow. Neon sticks were being waved in the air, making everything darker and cooler. A DJ booth stood on the far side, music booming from the same direction. Small booths with snacks, refreshments, and games were spread around the room. Overall, the thing was really fancy, a great attempt by the school. Taurus grinned wide and ran off to find something to do.

First, Taurus ate a little bit of everything there, including the chocolate strawberries that she herself made that morning, and a delicious Indian snack called 'Gulab Jamun' that some girl in the sixth grade had made - or so she was told by the tenth grader running the booth. After that, she played every single game, also run by an eleventh grader. She finally requested some songs from the DJ, a twelfth grade girl who was really good at her job. Exhausted, Taurus rested near the punch bowl table, which wasn't run by anyone.

The thing Taurus liked the most about The Social was that there were no teachers. The whole thing was kid run, so everyone could be as wild and crazy as they wanted. Another thing Taurus liked was that the high schoolers kept it PG. Despite the fact that they were free to be wild, crazy, and fun, they kept under control, which made Taurus feel a hundred times more comfortable.

"You like The Social?"

Taurus looked to see Cancer standing next to her, a cup of punch in his hand. He took a slow sip. "It's pretty darn cool." Taurus said with a shrug. She suddenly had the urge to run away, while also wanting to get closer at the same time.

Cancer nodded. "Yeah. This place is pretty neat. The teachers put in a whole lot of work to make this nice, so....." He shrugged.

Taurus nodded. "Job well done to them!" They stood there in silence for a moment, sipping at their drinks. Finally, Taurus broke the silence. "Hey. You aren't stuttering!" she exclaimed.

Cancer's eyes widened, and he spit out his drink. Taurus burst out laughing without thinking, snickering softly. Cancer looked at Taurus and began laughing, the two laughing together for a sweet moment. Cancer shrugged, his smile disappearing. "Yeah, I, uh...."

Taurus frowned slowly. "If I ask you something, will you promise to tell me?"

Cancer looked at Taurus, his eyebrows furrowed. "What do you mean?"

Taurus looked down at her shoes, blurting out her question. "I know you know about this school. Will you just tell me already?!"

Cancer frowned, the corner of his lip curling downwards. "Really?! I don't know anything."

Taurus shook her head. "You do. You, Cap, and Virgo. You guys have a secret, and I want to know."

Cancer shook his head, an annoyed expression on his face. "You can't just say you want to know and expect me to say it!"

Taurus smirked. "So there is a secret!" She grinned. "Tell me."

Cancer growled. "No! I won't tell you anything. I mean there is nothing. I mean, UGHHH!"

Taurus laughed. "Haha! I got you! Now tell me!"

Cancer looked really mad now. "I thought you were different, not like Gemini and Aquarius and all those other annoying girls who just bug me about everything."

Taurus' smile faded, a scowl overtaking it. "What do you mean, Aqua and all those other annoying girls? She's my friend you know!"

Cancer rolled his eyes. "You girls, so shallow about everything, not even caring about anything except friendship."

Taurus balled her hands into fists, the nails digging into her hand. "Excuse me?! Us girls, shallow?! What about all you boys, not caring about anyone's feelings."

"Says you." Cancer shot back, his arms crossed over his chest.

"I want to slap you so badly right now!" Taurus screeched.

Cancer rolled his eyes. "Why don't you do it then, instead of just saying it. But be warned, if you slap me, I won't tell you anything. Oh wait. I'm not going to tell you anything anyways!" He stalked off into another direction, leaving Taurus alone, feeling disgruntled. Not only had she fired against her crush, but she just lost her only way into getting down to the bottom of this mystery.
