Taurus woke up the next morning with a jolt. She didn't know why at first - her dreams had been pleasant, and it wasn't the middle of the night. There was just something that had shocked her. Anyways, it was about time to get ready for school, so Taurus rose from her tangled sheets drowsily and trudged to the bathroom.

And then it all hit her.

Taurus remembered everything, about the school, the evil plan, the video from last night, and lastly, the text. Oh, the text. When she saw that picture, Taurus' heart had nearly stopped. Though the two subjects of the picture were wrapped up in cloth & ropes likes mummies, the two were still recognizable. Her shoulder length drown hair and tall height. His short, choppy hair, fashioned remarkably like a younger Albert Einstein. Yes, even without the glasses, it was still them.

Capricorn and Virgo.

A large ball of guilt pooled in the center or Taurus' gut, making her feel sick to her stomach. Why had she ever doubted them in the first place. Taurus felt responsible for their situation. After all, if Taurus hadn't shot against them in the courtyard, they would have eaten lunch together, gone home together, and nothing would've happened. Instead, Taurus, Cancer, and Aquarius had stranded them, deserted them at the one time they needed someone to lean a shoulder on other than each other. That was enough for them to get kidnapped without anyone noticing at all.

Suddenly, another thought popped into Taurus' head. What if they were being kidnapped? If the other teachers at Zodiac Academy were just as hostile as Coach Robertson had been, who knew what condition Cap and Virgo were in?!

No. Taurus dismissed the thought with a wave of her hand. They needed all 12 alive. The coach had been fired because he was not careful with them, throwing everyone around like a rambunctious boy playing with a girl's dolls. The two would be alive - but where? At least Taurus knew it was someone at school - how else had everyone in the class gotten that message - and only them?

Suddenly, an idea popped up in Taurus' head.

What if we can save them?

And as Taurus got ready for school, she devised a plan. An idea that would save Virgo and Capricorn while also keeping them out of trouble. It was risky, and involved some risky & crazy ideas, but somehow, it seemed somewhat... normal. Everything they had been going through was crazy. A Zodiac-caused Armageddon. Animal alter-egos. An evil school. It sounded more like a fantasy novel than real life, but that was the truth. All Taurus could do was try to stop it.

Game on, Zodiac Academy teachers. You want a fight? We'll give you one.

"Okay, class!" Mr. Collins greeted. "Welcome to math! Today is going to be a bit different. First off, we won't be going to any of our classes or doing any math, LA, science, and so on!" He waited for the class to cheer, but nobody uttered anything. Everyone was too on edge thanks to everything that had happened.

Early in the morning, Taurus texted the group chat with the video, telling everyone to come to school early. When she got to school, Taurus huddled everyone up and told them about her plan. Basically, during lunch, everyone would meet up. They'd split into 3 groups - one for each of the 3 wings of the school. They would use their phones to contact each other and convey any information on possible leads. If anyone found Capricorn and Virgo, they would let the other groups know and attempt to retrieve their friends. Before lunch ended, they would silently sneak back into the lunchroom and casually go to the next class.

Then came the tricky part.

At the final bell, everyone would leave their final class, like usual, except they would all go together on someone's bus, probably Aquarius'. They'd all leave town and never come back, forever the lost enigmas that would haunt the school.

Taurus still had to work out a few kinks on the last part.

Everyone agreed on the initial part of the plan, but before they could discuss the second part, the bell rang. Now, everyone was on edge, ready for whatever was possibly coming next.

They were not ready for what came next.

"We also have a special schedule today! Everyone is going to have field day today! Our class is starting with the event, 'Treading on Turbulent Waters'. You guys will be going with our new coach, Coach Phipps, for a special activity that I think y'all will like! Okay, everyone, follow me!"

Taurus didn't follow. Instead, she whipped out her phone and texted everyone.

Taurus: Change of plan- we do it NOW! Scatter!

She slowly slunk out of her chair finally. She looked up to see uneasy expressions painted on everyone's faces. She looked at everyone and motioned toward her phone as discreetly as possible. Everyone pulled out their phones and checked the new message. The class' expressions would've been funny, except for the fact that this had become a stealth-hunt-turned-suicide-mission, so Taurus couldn't laugh.

Libra: what?! no! that's a suicide mission!

Gemini: I'm not doing this anymore! I only agreed for cancer.

Aquarius: gem, our lives and the rest of the world is at stake here!

Cancer: um. gem?

Gemini: erm... I mean, uh...

Aquarius: GUYS, dis isn't the time 4 that. we need 2 go NOW or they r gonna kill us!!

Cancer: y did u say dat, gem?

Gemini: hey guys, so I cant wait for the water activities today they r gonna b so fun, can u tell I'm rambling here? I hope not hehehehehehe....

Aquarius: OMG GUYS OUR LIVES ARE ABOUT TO END AND UR TALKING ABOUT GEMINI'S CRUSH, WHAT THE HECK GUYS?!?!?!?!

*Pisces has changed the group name to "Canini 4 lyfe" *

Aquarius: *facepalm emoji* I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE! someone help meeeeeee

*Cancer has changed the group name to "Um... no." *

Taurus: Guys, I'm running in 2 minutes, when we reach the central campus. Groups are gonna be these: Aries, Sagittarius, Libra, Leo. Then scorpio, gemini, pisces. last group is cancer, aqua, and me.

Sagittarius: What abt McKenna?

Taurus: oh, right... I guess she'll go to treadmills

McKenna: Uh... no. I am gonna go with one of u

Scorpio: our group is full. just me & pisces. and that blonde girl who talks too much.

Gemini: hey! I have a name!

Pisces: you speak?

Taurus: we are full. its me and aqua and cancer. McKenna plz choose a group fast

Gemini: uh, no. cancer is MINE. u can take new girl

McKenna: I'll take the Gemini group

Gemini: what?! nuuuuu!

Taurus: okay, its settled, everyone LETS GO!

With that, everyone stuffed their phones inside their pockets and followed their teacher. They walked through the South Campus in an uneasy silence. Finally, as they neared the doors of the central campus, Taurus began to count down out loud. Mr. Collins seemed rather confused, so he asked, "Taurus? Is everything okay?"

"...3..."

"What happened, Taurus?"

"...2..." She nodded at everyone, receiving identical nods in return.

"Taurus, answer me!"

"...1..."

"Class..."

"Go!!"

I know, another cliffhanger!!!! Get prepped for many more on coming chapters - but enough updates to it to be less awful. But I mean, cliffhangers are fun. And the coming one is really going to make you guys scream! Sorry, these are really fun to write! 😂
