Jesse's Pov:

After days of traveling, we finally made it to my uncle's so called home.

Just as I remembered, hot and horrible. My friends and father gasped as they saw this internal hell. I shushed as they looked at me.

"We have to be quiet!" I whisper-shout.

We were well hidden, so no one can see us, however they can here us if they were close. I'm not taking any chances.

"Jesse? Why do we have to be quiet?" asked Olivia as everyone looked at me. I sighed quietly and pointed down to the mobs. In fact I saw a human with them, but I sensed that the human was cruel, so I watched as he screamed his last words.

Everyone covered their mouths as they watched the defenseless human get his flesh being ripped apart.

Petra buried her face on my shoulder, to stop looking at this. Axel looked away, trying so hard not to watch as he made Olivia bury her face on his chest. Father and I were the only one's looking at the human getting his body rip to shreds.

After a while the mobs left the bloody body and continued their patrols. Oh dear lord. I bit my lips, trying not to scream. Father finally looked away as I kept staring at the body. It was the human's fault though, I know my uncle. He will give them a chance to run away, or else. Well it seems that the guy met his faith.

Everyone else finally looked at the body and they wanted to hurl. They covered their mouths and ran to the opposite direction to let it all out. I didn't stop them, I let them get rid of this horrible tragedy they saw. Of course it will take a while for them to remove the image out of their minds. I wanted to let it all out too, but I decided lo hold it.

I felt a weak grip on my shoulder, I turn to see Petra, looking sick. Axel and Olivia came not to long after her. Everyone except me and father looked sick. It seems we need another night to rest. It was risky to sleep here and to build a fire, so we need to rest a bit further and sleep without a fire on.

I looked at everyone and we quietly went back, without getting caught by the roaming patrols.

Petra's Pov:

I had never saw such horrible things in my life. I felt sick when I saw those monsters rip apart some stranger's flesh. I wasn't the only one, Axel and Olivia felt dizzy too. 

Jesse knew we needed to rest, so we will have other night off, before we go to battle the next day. I'm glad Jesse is an understanding guy. It's one of the reasons why he is my boyfriend.

We knew we could't make a fire, and that we might get caught while we rest, but it is a chance we need to take. Jesse and his father decided to let us rest while they kept an eye around our surrounding.

Jesse gave us fresh water and fruit, to help us feel better. I wanted to take a nap, Axel and Olivia already fell asleep, while me? I had a problem getting comfortable.

I saw Jesse sitting down near his father, staring straight into the deeper parts of the place. I them had an idea. I got up and went to Jesse, I sat down next to him and rested my head into his shoulder. He snapped out on what he was thinking of and looked at me.

I smiled at him as he smiled back. He noticed what I was doing and picked me up bridle style. He went to his father (Who no surprisingly was fast asleep) he climbed up to him, and he struggled because he was carrying me. Jesse laid me down and he laid next to me and rapped his arms around me, I did the same with him. I smiled and laid my head on his chest.

Jesse's Pov:

I watched as Petra fell asleep in my arms, she looked even more beautiful like that. I looked at father who was still asleep, that Lazy bum.

Anyway, I was thinking about the battle we were about to encounter, and the guy who got ripped apart. I was beginning to think if we were even ready. Are we really ready to stop my uncle? Save the world? Only time will tell, but until then we need to rest for the battle of four mortal and a dragon versus a powerful demon god. 

I Just hope we can defeat him. After all he is powerful, while us? We are mortals, we are useless against immortals.

Speaking of immortals, how did uncle even became one?

"Jesse..."

"Huh?"

I slowly removed myself from Petra and got off father. 

"Jesse, come here my son..."

"Father?" I quietly said as I walked to where the voice is heard.

I followed the voice to this beautiful  path until I found a pond.

I looked around and realized that the voice was no longer heard.

"Jesse..."

I heard the voice again, but this time, it was more than one, it sounded like two people. I looked at the pond and saw it glow. I covered my eyes because it was too bright. The light began to fade a little, but it was still bright. I uncovered my eyes and saw the light figures, I gasped.

"Jesse..."

"Father...Mother..."

"Hello there...My son..."
