Jesse's Pov: 

I woke up in the middle of the night. I couldn't stop thinking about the flashback I had earlier. I looked who Petra who was sleeping next to me. I sat up and noticed that me and Petra were on father's back. I sighed and got off father's back slowly to make sure I don't wake up Petra and father.

I walked to the cold river as the wind blew on my hair. The cold peaceful night sky looked beautiful as always. I walk near the river and smiled. I took off my shirt, shoes and socks, leaving my jeans only on and jumped on the cold river with a loud splash. The river was colder than before, but it doesn't bother me. When I was still living on the cave with father I would always swim on the river and it was always cold, so i'm use to it. 

I swam under the water and enjoyed feeling of the cool water touch me. I swam to the surface to regain oxygen. My face and hair were wet and I don't mind. The cold wind swift on my wet face and it felt as it was frozen, I didn't care.

I swam and swam around to calm my nerves. The water didn't feel that cold anymore and I dived down to the cold water. I swam in circles underwater until I forced myself into the surface to breath the cool oxygen again. I swan to the river's bank and leaned on it as I was still in the cold water. I smiled as all the stress in the surface of my brain finally drowned on this river's waters. 

I looked the beautiful night sky. The night sky was full of light. "The stars, they spark as a fire that never fades. The moon's beautiful light remind me of a piece of happiness, love and Petra."

When my mind said the word Petra I was lost in happiness. I remembered when Petra told me what love was. It's a wonderful experience. 

When I was still a prisoner and I had control of myself I would remember Uncle insulting love. He said that it makes you weak. That's a laugh. Love doesn't make you weak, it makes you feel and be strong. The only love that makes you weak is false love. Years ago, Petra explained to me that false love is used for fun, as if it was a toy and it hurts other people who do feel the real love. I have a feeling that Uncle had faced that love before.

I sighed and enjoyed myself. I then splashed water on my frozen face, I felt the coldness take it's place as I lead the cold water into my face.

"How can you survive that freezing water on a cold night?"I heard someone giggle.

I turned around and saw Petra with a smile. I chuckled and got myself out of the water. My body and jeans dripped the river water as I saw Petra blush a bit. I smirked as I went to her.

"What are you doing here Petra? I thought you were asleep." I asked as we sat down near a tree.

"I was, but I woke up when I felt you get off your dad."

"Have you been watching me swim you stalker?" I joked as she gave a playful punch on my shoulder and laughed.

"Maybe I was, maybe I wasn't" She joked as we both laughed.

We both then watched the night sky as she leaned her head on my shoulder and I let my hand grab her shoulder.

"You still haven't answered my question though" I said as she gave me a peck on the cheek.

"I was watching you and I got to be honest, you looked very attractive." We both laughed and we watched the night sky.

I shivered a bit, but I wasn't that cold. Petra noticed me shiver and gave me a worried look.

"Jesse, you need to warm up. We could make a fire here if you want." I looked at Petra and smiled.

"That sounds nice, i'll got get the wood. You stay here."

...

'Crack'

The crackling fire was in place, I was feeling a bit warmer.

"Jesse?"

"Hmm?"

"How are we going to defeat your uncle? You said that your parents said there is another way."

"I don't know, yet. But we still have time before we reach him."

"I hope we find the answer soon, we don't have much time and I don't want to lose you." Petra leans on my shoulder and I put my hand around her to comfort her.

"I hope... I hope"
