THREE

Aria

When I got home, I went upstairs to plug my phone on the charger and to take a shower. I got out and changed into skinny jeans and a plaid shirt and decided to do a little more unpacking before we had to leave for Henry's house.

I took my box out from under my bed and opened it, revealing all things dealing with my best friends; photo albums and picture frames.

I set them along my dressers, smiling each time I did. I checked the time, realizing that I had about two hours until I had to leave, so I took that opportunity to take a short nap.

I lied down, rolling over on my side. I stared at the photo of just me and Henry, my body reacting strangely to the picture.

Why do I feel like this? I asked myself, propping my head up onto the palm of my hand.

That thought kept replaying through my head until I heard my mom yelling for my name. I sprinted out of my room and into the bathroom, hurriedly combing through my brown hair.

"Ready to go?" My mom asked, rummaging through her purse to find her keys.

"Why are you driving? His house is five houses down."

My mom looked over to me like I was crazy, then remembered when I ran down the street to see him again.

My dad decided not to go, as he had a little problem with Henry's dad, Jake. I didn't argue with him on that. My mom and I went over to Henry's, knocking on the wooden door.

"Hey Aria." Henry opened the door, flashing a smile at me.

"Hey Henry."

I walked in and said hello to Mr. and Mrs. Hart before Henry and I grabbed our plates of food.

Henry, Piper and I carried our plates to the living room while my mom, Mrs. Hart and Mr. Hart took over the kitchen table.

"How was your first day back in Swellview?" Piper asked, her eyes, once again, on her phone.

"It was amazing. I can't believe I ever moved away from here."

Henry looked at me, smiled, then looked down at his feet. I felt my body react strange again and now I was growing more confused than ever.

I grabbed Piper's arm and pulled her by the door. I looked at Henry, exhaling deeply when he wasn't looking.

"Piper," I started, fumbling with my hands, "I need help. Advice or something."

"What is it? Does it have to do with my brother?"

I nodded slowly, whispering if I could talk to her upstairs, "Hen, I'll be right back, I need to talk to Piper."

"Alright, I'll be up in my room." He followed me and Piper up the stairs and turned to walk into his room and closed the door.

I think I might like Henry, but he couldn't know that, especially since I haven't seem him in three years. I doubt he'd even feel the same as me. I mean, I'd always be with Henry, even if Charlotte or Jasper cancelled on our plans.

We'd sit on the couch and watch Dog Judge or The Walking Orange together, and I don't remember feeling this way. But, now that I'm sixteen, I think my thoughts on Henry have changed.

"I think I might like...Henry." I breathed out, waiting for Piper to scream her head off at me.

Piper's eyes went wide with shock. Next thing I knew, she started to scream at the top of her lungs, making me trip over the foot of her bed and fall over onto it.

Henry rushed into Piper's room. His eyes were scanning Piper, probably thinking that she saw a spider or something. He made eye contact with me, lightly laughed, then shut Piper's door.

Way to go, Piper.

Henry

I sat up in my room while Aria and Piper went into Piper's room. Ever since Aria got back, I've been having these weird feelings going on and I don't know what they are or what to do about it.

I heard Piper scream, so I immediately ran over to her room. Piper looked at me nervously, while Aria was toppled over onto her bed. I smiled at Aria, then blushed as she smiled back, to which I shut her door and went back to my room.

I pulled out my phone, going to Aria's contact name. I had Jasper get it for me since Charlotte and I had to work.

Henry: Hey, can you come to my room?

I sat on the couch up by my window and waited for Aria. She knocked on my door, then opened it before I could say anything. She came up my ladder and sat next to me.

"What's up? Oh, and sorry about Piper screaming. I think she saw a spider or something." Aria laughed, tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear.

"Nah, it's all good. Piper does tend to scream at the stupidest of things." I said, then got a feeling that Aria was keeping something from me.

I mean, I don't blame Aria if she's keeping a secret from me because I have been too. For three years. When I first became Kid Danger, I so wanted to tell Aria, Charlotte and Jasper about it, but I took an oath.

I got fired once because Charlotte found out about my secret, not because I told her. Then Jasper thought my secret was me going to a movie without him. When I showed him I was Kid Danger, Ray almost fired me again.

"Hen? Henry? Are you okay?" Aria waved her hand in front of my face, bringing my attention back to her.

"Yeah, yeah. Just thinking, that's all." I said, staring at the wall where my bed was. Taking a closer, I saw my gumball tube start to poke out from under a picture.

I widened my eyes, then jumped off the ledge and towards my bed. I pushed the tube back in the picture, then faced Aria, who looked confused.

"Thought I saw a...spider." I laughed nervously.

"Okay...then."

I patted down on my bed, watching as Aria came down from the ledge and towards my bed, sitting on the edge of it.

"Are we going to keep moving from the couch to the bed or what?" Aria smirked, letting me know that she doesn't plan on moving again.

"No, I think we're good now."

I saw Aria put her head down, her face turning red. I leaned forward, using my hand to move some hair out of her face. I then proceeded to lift her head up with my pointer finger.

She swatted my hand away, burying her face between her hands. I laughed, tugging her arm and pulling her towards me. Her face was basically glued to her hands.

"Come on, stop hiding your face."

"I need to tell you something, Henry." She finally lifted her head up, her eyes staring back at me.

"What?" I asked, my eyes not moving away from hers. I didn't realize that her body was curled in a ball, yet I was still somewhat hugging her.

"Henry, I like-"

Aria got cut off as my watched started beeping, my body slightly moving because I wasn't expecting it. I sighed, moving Aria out of my arms as she looked down at my wrist. I stood up and neared the door.

Seriously Ray, every time I'm with Aria.

"I have to go, I'm sorry."

I sprinted out of my house and to my porch, to where I flipped open my Whiz Watch and a hologram of Charlotte popped up.

"Hey Char. What's up?"

"Nothing. How's it going with Aria?"

I groaned, throwing a hand to my forehead. I closed my eyes, opening them back and sending a glare Charlotte's way.

"Well, I keep getting interrupted every time I'm with her, so don't call me until tomorrow." I shut off the hologram and went inside, hoping to get some more time alone with Aria.
