Chapter#7
"You did what?" Gillian asked in shock, feeling almost hurt. "Why? You betrayed Araluen, and the King!"
"Did I say I was happy about it?" Savea slightly snapped. "I was forced into Morgareth's army. I had no choice, and I couldn't escape. Even when I was captured I could not."
"How'd you get out?" Will asked gently.
"I was found by two Rangers, after being captured by the Skandians."
"Halt and Crowely"..
"Yes." She told him with a nod. "I was happy with the corp. Then my old life came flooding back again and they found out who I was. My instinct was to run. Which I did."
"And it was a terrible mistake," Halt butted in. "You knew Crowley and I could have helped you."
Savea shook her head. "You couldn't have helped me, not with that. I needed to be alone"...
"You say that but look at where being alone has lead you. Injured and back to me. It hasn't helped, not at all." Arratay said bluntly .
"Maybe so, but it kept everyone safe, and away from me. Just like they wanted." She finally snapped.
Gillian and Will exchanged looks, glancing between the two.
"This still doesn't clear anything up," Gil stated. "And now you two are arguing again."
Halt glanced silently away for a moment, then brushed a hand through his shaggy hair. "I'm going to find some more firewood," He said . "Gillian, keep watch."
The camp was silent again as he left. And the only voices that were heard were those of the crickets hiding in the tall grass.
Treaty glanced over at Savea , who was currently turned over on her good side . Staring moodily into the distance.
"Did I say anything wrong?" He asked in a whisper to Gillian.
Gillian shook his head. "No," He mumbled. "Backstories are never easy to tell. Especially not for those two. But you should rest, you're up next for watch."
Will gave a nod, sighing silently to himself as he laid down. Wrapping his cloak tightly around himself. They'd never make it to the end of this trip.

"You brought a woman into the camp, and her least of all. Why?"
Savea turned in her sleep, a frown forming on her face and brow.
"You're mine, you belong to me. And you'll never escape." A voice hissed.
She turned yet again, letting out a quiet whimper as memories came flooding back in nightmares.
"Come back".... Though this time it was a command. She opened her eyes again, breathing heavily as she sat up. Quietly packing her things. And in a moment, was gone.
