Chapter#3
Will glanced up, hearing Halt come back in. "Is Tug and Abelard alright?" He asks. As they all had heard the commotion from the stables .
He nodded. "Aye, they were just startled is all." He lied. The boy didn't need to know about Savea, yet. Going over into the kitchen, he put a kettle of water on for coffee. Sitting back down once the task was done.
"Was it-" Gillian began and was given a firm gaze which made him stop. The first of his apprentices then stayed quiet. Knowing it was dangerous to go further .
"Was it what?" Treaty asked, his curiosity having been sparked by the comments and the silence of the two.
Gil sighed, looking over at the older man across from him. "You might as well tell him Halt," He stated . "You know far well he'll find out sooner or later. Just as I did."
The Ranger rolled his eyes slightly, getting up again to make a cup of the coffee he started earlier. "That just means I have two nosy apprentices." He muttered. "Very, nosy ones."
"But you're right in some way I suppose, I should tell."
"So that means you're going to then?" Will questioned eagerly.
"No." Halt replied, taking a drink from his mug.
His shoulders sagged in disappointment as Gillian gave him a sympathetic look. Promising to tell him later. If he was given the chance. Making the older man roll his eyes again.
"Not till you're ready."
