"Rising Sun!"

Rising Sun opened his eyes. He was lying in a velvet coffin. He had a gag around his mouth that prevented him from talking, and his paws were bound together. Crouching over him, was his father, Setting Sun.

"Dad?" Rising Sun gasped as Setting Sun removed his gag and untied the rope that was holding his paws together. He got up, and beside him, he could see Thunder Roar's surprised expression as he lay in the coffin. 

Setting Sun led Rising Sun to a carpet, moonlight seeping on it. They sat down. Setting Sun put his paws on Rising Sun's shoulders, and whispered, "Rising Sun, you're finally back. We shall go to the place where Exploding Sun has created, but first. Do you know Bright Sun? Your half-brother?"

"No...... Wait! How could I forget him? He taught me how to read and write......."Rising Sun fumbled for words. "I want to go and thank him. Where is he now?"

"He was eaten by Dark Sun." Setting Sun sighed. "I can't believe you're here."He pulled Rising Sun into a Fox hug. 

"Let's go." Setting Sun rose to his paws and walked over to Thunder Roar. Suddenly, he whacked the side of his face, and Thunder Roar fainted. 

Setting Sun dragged Thunder Roar in front of a mat. He uncovered it, revealing a trapdoor. Rising Sun gasped. Setting Sun opened the trapdoor. Inside, there were Foxies, with fluttering red capes. Rising Sun flushed with anger. He saw Burning Weed, the one who had captured them, and Crackling Fire stood next to him, looking smug. Behind them, there were many other Foxies. 

"I want you guys to guard this place, and stop the FoxEater Raiders from coming in, okay?" Setting Sun demanded, and the Foxies dipped their heads. Then, they soared off.

Rising Sun looked up, and saw a gigantic space with many glittering pillars, with wooden boards attached to them. The foxies were on top of them, prepared with weapons. At the very back, there was a huge rock that was reaching like a hand at them, which was also made of glittering rock.

Setting Sun hoisted Thunder Roar onto the great stretching rock and grabbed out two chains. He chained one paw with one chain and the other. Then, he tied something, and it was complete. Thunder Roar was kneeling on his legs, with his forepaws tied up to the top. 

Rising Sun winced. He couldn't bear the sight of Thunder Roar tied up. Finally, Thunder Roar came to. 

"Mmf?" he muffed through the gag. Then, his eyes widened and he began to thrash around, screaming in the gag. "MMMMUF! MUFF!" 

Rising Sun stepped towards him, calling up to him, "Everything will be alright. But, now is the time I will eat you." he winced again when Thunder Roar's eyes widened. 

"Rising Sun." he heard Setting Sun's soothing voice. Rising Sun turned his head, and saw him walking towards him with a bag. He put it down in front of him and opened it. Inside it, was a syringe, and a vial full of liquid. Rising Sun stiffened as he recognized the liquid. 

Oh no! That's the liquid that I will inject into myself to turn myself into the founding FoxEater!

Sighing, Setting Sun grabbed the syringe and got the liquid to flow into it. He stood up and grabbed Rising Sun's foreleg. 

In the distance, he could hear shouts and gunshots, and many bodies hitting the ground. They came to save me and Thunder Roar! 

"Hurry!" Setting Sun screamed. He was about to press on the plunger. 

Rising Sun suddenly understood. If he turned into a FoxEater, he would get out of control and eat Thunder Roar, and, he would die. Anger flashed through him, and he threw the syringe to the ground. CRACK! The liquid splattered on the ground, turning it red. 

Setting Sun gasped. Then he screamed. Very loud. He grabbed Rising Sun by his shoulders, then shook them violently, yelling, "WHY DID YOU DO THAT FOR!?! RISING SUN?!?" 

Rising Sun was not afraid. With one swift move, he grabbed Setting Sun's fur and slammed him against the ground."THAT'S IT! I HAD ENOUGH! I WON'T LET YOU KILL ME!" Setting Sun was on the ground, gasping for breath. His backbone was definitely broken. Rising Sun grabbed the bag, and took out some keys. He knew that the keys would free Thunder Roar. 

He hurried up the stairs and reached Thunder Roar. He removed his gag. "Wha?!? Rising Sun?!? You're supposed to eat me! Save all of Foxity! Please eat me!" 

Rising Sun looked up sharply, frustration burning in his belly, and punched the top of his head. "Shut up! Stop being like a crybaby!" Thunder Roar looked at him, with tears welling up in his warm amber eyes. "I did not eat you because you are my friend, Thunder Roar. I'll come to the rescue!" saying that, he noticed that Setting Sun was licking up the liquid.

"Mom...... Dad...... Sister...... Wait for me...... I'm coming......" Setting Sun groaned. The whole place was lit up with a huge blinding light. There was a huge groaning noise, and the ceiling fell. The wind was so strong. 

Rising Sun finally got one chain to let go. Then, the wind knocked him back, and before he was going to slam into the hard wall, some Foxie caught him. He looked up. And saw the familiar face of... Snow Fall! "You okay?" 

"Snow Fall?!?" he gasped. 

Many more shapes dropped onto the stretching rock. Thunder Roar gasped. "Captain! Everyone!"

Star Shine called over to Snow Fall, "Give me the keys!" 

Snow Fall tossed it over. CLACK! CLACK CLACK! The chains were opened! They dragged Thunder Roar towards him, just in the nick of time. A huge rock fell down from the ceiling, and slammed into the stretching rock, and the rock was shattered into small pieces.

There was now a big FoxEater. It turned and lumbered in the direction of Foxis while more rocks piled down. "He wasn't going to eat me?" Thunder Roar whispered. 

"You're safe now, Thunder Roar." Snow Fall was nuzzling Thunder Roar. 

"I'm sorry, Thunder Roar. I hate to tell you this..... But you have to make a choice." Star Shine whispered. 

Thunder Roar hesitated. 

"We can't just stay here and get crushed!" Rising Sun yelled. "You have to do something, Thunder Roar!"

"Then I will do it." Thunder Roar breathed. He ran to the edge of the broken stretching rock and leaped off, screaming, then he turned into a foxeater. 

"Quick! Get under Thunder Roar!" Star Shine cried, and every Foxie rushed under Thunder Roar.

Suddenly, the foxeater's body cracked, turning into a huge diamond foxeater. Thunder Roar had hardened himself!

Moments later, the rocks stopped. The Foxies dug a hole in the foxeater and yanked out the unconscious Thunder Roar. Snow Fall cried. 

"Now, we have to defeat the founding FoxEater. So that was the secret of the Founding FoxEater! They eat each other, and it has been passed down from generation to generation." Star Shine and Grass Foot gasped. 

"For victory!" all the Foxies saluted. 

"This is our hardest battle." Pink Flower growled. "We must fight to our death."
