The girls arrived just in time to see Sirius fall through the veil, Rose , James, and Harry all fell to the ground screaming in pain. Rose held Lyla tightly against her chest, fighting bitterly against the gaping hole fighting to tear it's way savagely through her heart. All that could be heard was the blood curdling screams of agony coming from the twins. All others were silent, not even the death eaters dared to move, except one.

Bellatrix Lestrange was skipping around joyfully singing " I killed Sirius Black!" over and over again.

This was the final straw for Rose, she looked up, a murderous gleam in her eye. She silently handed Lyla over to Lily, knowing what she had to do. She didn't bother pulling out her wand before launching herself at Bellatrix, thanking her dad for the muggle fighting lessons. Rose threw punch after punch, never stopping. Blood flew everywhere squirting from the bitch's nose and mouth. Rose never stopped until she was dead.

While she was distracted however, Lucius Malfoy drew his wand and screamed the fatal words, "AVADA KADAVRA".

Rose fell to the ground dead, James screamed her name with nothing but pure agony in his voice.

Lily clutched Lyla closer to her as the death eaters disappeared one by one, happy their mission had been completed. While all the marauders cried.

"LYLA! LUIS! COME ON! WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE!" Lily Potter screamed up the stairs.

"COMING MOM!" Was the reply from the two very different children who had grown up like siblings.

Lily walked upstairs and knocked on the door to her and James's bedroom before walking in slowly. "James, honey, you need to get up." She spoke quietly to the shaking lump on the bed, his body wracked with silent sobs of loss and pain. "Come on, Love. It's time to go" Her voice shook with unshed tears, the usually strong girl stepped out of the room and walked down the stairs slowly, tears falling softly as she made her way to the front door to wait on her family. All three came down in all black, matching Lily herself.

It had been ten years to the day that Rose Potter and Sirius Black had died. To Lily, that was the most upsetting thing, they never got married. It had also been 8 years since the Battle of Hogwarts, which they all came out of in one piece. At least, their family did.

As they slowly made their way to the cemetery, James already had tears in his eyes.

When they arrived, they saw an ornate double headstone signifying the beautiful lives of two amazing people.

"Hi mom, hi dad." Lyla was the first to speak, sitting on the ground beside the graves. "It's me, Lyla. I hope you would be proud of me. I got my hogwarts letter, I hope I get into Gryffindor, I know you both were. I hope I can be as brave as you one day, I miss you. I love you."

You see, Lyla had no memory of her parents, but she had heard a thousand stories, she knew they were good people. And, as she stood, she had the faint glimmer of tears she refused to let fall glistening in her eyes.

James was the next to step forward, tears ready to fall.

"Hey sis. Hi Sirius. I miss you both so much, I hope you know that. I hope you know I love you both so dearly." His voice grew thick towards the end, unable to continue with the onslaught of tears.

Lily pulled both Lyla and James into a hug, adding Luis on at the end. She held her family close, knowing she was lucky to have them, but dear god did she miss her best friend- no, her sister.

As they pulled away, Delilah, Remus, and Nessa arrived and Delilah stepped forward but didn't say a word all she did was lay a blue lily and a black rose on the ground, tears streaming freely down her face.

Remus stepped up next, he also said nothing, he just laid a white chrysanthemum and a black hibiscus tears glistening in his eyes as well.

The families all looked sadly at the grave before walking away slowly, with plans to come back in the near future.
