Co-parenting Challenges: Part 14
Co-parenting with Damian was a difficult adjustment. Lily and Rose had learned to depend on each other so much that letting Damian back into the picture was a major disruption. At first, they were hesitant to trust him, watching his every move with caution.
Rose: "I don't know if he's really changed. What if he just disappears again?"
Lily: "We have to be careful, but we owe it to the kids to give him a chance."
Damian, on his part, seemed committed. He attended parenting classes, showed up when he promised, and slowly earned a place in their children's lives. But it was never easy—he had to prove himself not just to the girls, but to his children as well.
Damian: "I'm sorry for everything, Lily. I'm sorry for the lies, for all the pain."
Lily: "It's not me you need to make things right with. It's them."
The dynamic between the three of them was awkward, tense, but over time, they began to find a fragile balance. They weren't friends—Lily and Rose would never trust him completely—but they learned how to make things work for the sake of their children.
