Max's Pov

Gidget, our friends and I were on our way to Pop's place. They told me and Duke what goes on at his apartment when his owner isn't home for the whole day. It seems pretty fun, but could possibly get you into trouble. Everyone was excited to actually stay here and have some fun this time. Duke and I were anxious to get there.

Once we got there of course, we met a certain white and fluffy bunny by the window inside. He saw us and went to greet us.

"What up my dogs, and cat?" he greeted us. "It's been a while since we've last met up."

"Well the last time we've met up, I almost drowned," said Duke.

"Yeah, thanks for the help, Snowball," I said.

"No problem TD."

Snowball looked over to Gidget and smiled.

"Well if it isn't PD," he said. Gidget blushed, obviously knowing the name.

"Um, what does that stand for?" Buddy asked.

"It stands for Pretty Dog," Gidget said.

"So if you guys are here to have fun, then you've came to the right place," Snowball said.

"Great. Um where can we see Pops?" Gidget asked.

"He's in the back," Snowball replied. "I'm off to go play Cat Darts."

"Oh let me play to!" Duke said in excitement.

Everyone went off doing whatever they wanted, leaving me and Gidget alone.

"Well what do you want to do?" I asked her.

"I'm down for whatever," she responded.

"Oh, okay. So your down for whatever, huh?" I licked her neck playfully.

"Max! Not here!" She giggled.

"But you said-"

"You know what I meant. How about we play some Cat Darts?"

"Hmmm, not as fun as you, but okay."
She smirked at me and we play a few games.

Almost three hours went buy and we all were having a great time. I haven't had this much fun in a while. I really need to get out more. We even had Karaoke. Some pets were talented and some, not so much. Gidget was really great. She sung exquisitely.

After a while Gidget started getting thirsty so she asked me for something to drink.

"Sure, there's some fruit punch," I said. I went over to the table of fruit punch to get us a drink, but when I looked back I saw another dog.

Gidget's Pov

I waited for Max to come back with our drinks. After I sang my throat was quenched. It was a really good time for everyone, until...

"Well look at you pretty lady," some random dog said. I looked at him for a second. He was a Rottweiler who obviously had no sense of personal space.

"I'm sorry, but who are you," I asked him.

"Oh, where are my manners?" he said. You better have manners. "My name's Cisco, and you are?"

"My name's Gidget," I replied.

"Well Gidget, I see that you are alone."

"Well I wouldn't exactly say-"

"You need a big strong dog to keep you safe. I could fit the job."

Is he hitting on me?

"I'm sorry Cisco, but as you can see over there by the fruit punch is my boyfriend."

He looks over to where Max is at and laughs.

"You mean to tell me that he is out with you?"

"Yep."

"I think you've made a mistake being with someone like him. I'm the only one fit for you."

Oh no he did not.

"Well, hate to break it to you but I love him and not you."

"Hmm." He started thinking to himself. "I suppose I'll have to make you love me, won't I?"

My eyes widened and he started to back me up against a wall. I was about to scream for Max until...

"Hey, why don't you back off?!" I here Max yell.

Cisco turns around to see Max furious. I sighed in relief to see Max.

Max's Pov

I leave to get me and Gidget something to drink, and once I come back I see some other dog trying to get with her. This guy thinks he can take Gidget away from me.

"Are you talking to me?" he asked.

"What do you think?!" I yelled in response.

"You better be going home little dog. I was just about to make my move on this pretty thing."

"That 'pretty thing' is my girlfriend. So I suggest you keep looking."

"And what if I don't want to?"

"Then we'll have a problem."

I notice a bunch of eyes on us right now and the music stopped, but I didn't care enough for it.

The dog closes his eyes and smirks. "You have a lot of nerve to be messing with me. So I have a question."

"What is it?"

He opens his eyes and his smirked disappears. "It's time for your pain."

Everyone looks at him confused.

"Uh, that's not a question," Buddy said.

"I don't care!"

The dog leaps at me and latches his jaws onto my neck and throws me onto the floor. Everyone gasps in shock. My neck then started to bleed. I look back at the dog just in time to dodge his claws. I bite his back left leg hard. He groans in pain. He kicks me in my face and scratches my left cheek. I leap at him, but he moves out of the way and bites my neck again. I howl in pain. He throws me again, but across the room. I slide on the floor and into a wall. I almost start to black out. He walks over to me and scratches my chest and kicks my stomach. I continue to get beat until I feel him get thrown off of me. I look up and see Duke and my friends before I start to black out.

An hour later...

I wake up and see a white room. I was on a hospital bed. I was at the Veterinary. I saw Katie walk in.

"Hey Max," she says, "how you feeling?"

I groan in pain trying to get up. I remembered what happened today. A dog tried to hit on Gidget and I get in a dog fight.

The veterinarian walks in with a clipboard in his hand and says, "He'll be alright, just a couple of wounds. I suggest he takes his pain killers and should not be out running or playing for three weeks. He can still go on walks and to the dog park, but just make sure he doesn't run around or the stitches will loosen."

"Alright thank you doctor," Katie said.

"I'll have you sign some papers and he will be able to be out in about another hour or so." He walks out of the room.

Katie sighed in relief and looked at me. "I'm glad your okay Max."

I look at her and growled happily. I must have gotten hurt real bad. My neck hurts so much. Well I will be able to go home though. I wonder what happened after.

We arrive home late at night and Katie helped me inside and sets me onto my bed.

"I hope you don't get hurt anymore Max," she said. "I'm going to bed, so be careful." Katie then leaves the room.

I look at Duke and ask him,"What happened after I blacked out?"

"Our friends and I kicked Cisco, the one who attacked you, out of Pop's apartment. Pops banned him forever. I took you home and waited for Katie to take you to the vet," he said.

"What about Gidget?"

"She was scared for your life bro, but she pulled through. Afterwards everyone went home. You were really injured Max. You were bleeding a lot as well."

"Huh. The doctor said I'll be fine until three weeks, and I can go out walking but I can't be moving around to much. Also I should take my pain killers, since I have stitches."

"Well I hope you feel better Max. Goodnight."

"Yeah, goodnight."

I then finally fall into a deep sleep.
