Stella and Duke saw the animal control agents getting off the truck with some capture ties (the leash "thingies" they use for capturing dogs)  in hands getting more towards them.

Stella: Come on, THIS WAY

The two of them ran in different directions, She was heading to her hiding spot while Duke was heading to an alley where the agents can easily catch him. When she was almost reached her hiding spot, she noticed that the brown dog (which he didn't got his name yet) wasn't behind her.

Stella: Where did he go?

After asking herself that, she was on the prowl (search that word on google just in case you don't know what that it means) looking for Duke without being caught, then she saw that same brown dog with a tiny dog running away from the animal control agents at the alley and before they got caught, she decided to show up and save them.

Stella showed up in front of the dogs growling at the agents and while dodging so they don't catch her with their ties, and then when they were getting exhausted, she took the time to flee and guide the two dogs to her hiding spot.

Max: I don't know how to thank you for saving us

Duke: Yeah

Stella: You can thank me that later, NOW FOLLOW ME.

The three dogs where running as fast as they could away from the agents but until two of them (which here Max and Duke) ended caught because they where a bit behind her and she was pretty fast, meanwhile Stella made it to her hiding place, again but she realized that the two dogs where gone. Then she noticed that they were caught because she saw them from afar getting dragged inside the truck and taking them away. Stella hid behind a trash bin so they couldn't see her, then she started following that truck until some minutes later it stops 'cuz a bunny was on the way-

Wait, a bunny? Oh god. 🙄
