It was later that night when Snowball and Pops finally clambered out of the hole. "It took a while but we got both bullets out of Tiberius and set that broken wing in place," Snowball announced, looking very exhausted. Pops immediately flopped himself by Chloe, asleep in a matter of seconds. Stifling a yawn, Snowball went on, "Norman's going to stay down there with him tonight." Worries laid down for rest, a majority of the pets curled up and slept soundly. Only two remained wide awake.

"Buddy, you still up?" Mel whispered, trying not to wake up anyone else. The dachshund mumbled sleepily, "Well, I still am ever since you asked me ten minutes ago!" Mel lowered his head in apology as he said quietly, "I just came up with an idea to help everyone." His friend lifted one eyebrow.

Mel continued, "Why don't we head over to the town and grab some supplies that could benefit our friends, such as food and medicine." Buddy still remained doubtful of his pal's plan as he said, "Dude, how are we going to find the town?" The pug shrugged his shoulders as he got to his paws and walked over to the entrance of the cave. "Wait! You can't go by yourself!" Buddy whispered hoarsely as he chased after his friend, careful not to wake anyone. The two dogs set off together through the drifts of powdery snow, a plan forging into their minds.
